I think that with the shape of our economy people should be voting on issues and not on ethnicity. We are heading into a recession but evidently that does not matter to SC voters. Ethnicity is more important to them than getting the country back on track as Bill Clinton has proven to be successful while he was in office.I feel really terrible for Hillary as nothing she says or does seems to be the right thing with the media, why don't they give it a rest or do they want her to lose the election. Is this just a matter of a woman running the country that bothers them, it sure seems that way. Quite frankly, the Black community gets it. They see a Black candidate and they say, "I'm voting for him because he's Black. I'm voting for him because he experiences the world similar to how I experience it. I'm voting for him because the elevation of him, as a Black man, translates to the possible elevation of me, as a Black person. His success and my potential success are fundamentally intertwined." White males don't comprehend this because they have always had the power, so it's just not been an issue that they have considered. I appreciate that, as it's hard to be empathetic when you have no real personal experience as to what it entails. What women have going against them is the fact that women DO NOT support women. Women don't see it like the Black community fundamentally appears to do so. Women don't understand that the elevation of Hillary is the elevation of all women. If Hillary becomes president, then maybe my daughter will think that she can become president one day. Right now, there is no reason why my daughter or any other young female out there should believe that she can become president one day, as right now, even women can't stand the idea of voting for another woman. We are under the impression that women are not our sisters, but our competition. Until we align with each other and help each other succeed, we'll continue to find our greatest popularity as swimsuit models, media socialites and other insignificant roles. Fifty years from now, what women will you remember? Of those women, who changed the world in a historical and meaningful way? If you can't immediately think of several women who might fit this category, then you get my point. I hate to say it, but Michael Moore was right when he essentially wrote that women are the biggest disappointment to each other, to this society. We are the majority and yet, we can't get past our own insecurities to actually support each other in order to help our young girls have hope that one day, they'll truly be considered equal in this society. One day, I hope that women will be judged by their capacity to bring good to society versus the shape of their bodies and their ability to service the men who control them. The truth is painful. How can you ever succeed when people who walk in your shoes won't support you? Don't hate the Black community for supporting Obama. White men have been voting for white men for hundreds of years. This isn't a new concept. The only difference is that women don't seem to get it.

Hillary's statement on SC results

Why did former President Clinton give a speech tonight, but Senator Clinton is nowhere to be seen? That would be such a momentous ocasion I would hate to miss it.

Hillary's statement on SC results

Alexandria...woman with common sense, intelligence and good judgement will vote for a women who is worthy...Hillary is NOT! Obama did not turn SC into a race primary...half of SC registered voters are black and had the good sense to realize he IS the best choice. All of you ignorant voters out there need check yourselves. This country needs leadership. Leadership that this nation will look up too and the world will respect. Not the trash we have had posing as leadership for the last 15 years.

Obama is not a whip. Stop fooling yourselves and grow up to learn about and acknowledge what real leadership is suppose to look like...a man with integrity facing challenges. If you don't know what that means get a dictionary. Most of you Clinton supporters are clueless and the rest are just as crooked as the Clintons for standing behind them and endorsing their tacky political lives. You fools have the nerve to complain about GW Bush when you support a future of a tacky and failing America by wanting Clintons in the White House.

Research political history of America and learn what the meaning of hope is. This country needs HOPE. This country needs to be UNITED. This country needs OBAMA!

Put your ignorance in a grave and leave it there...it's a new day.

YES WE CAN!

Obama is not a whimp.

YES WE CAN!

Hillary's statement on SC results

There is a reason that MSNBC is the network with five letters and no viewers. Hillary did not win NV. We all know that popular vote means zip. We do not need to rehash this over and over. Obama took more delegates than Hillary and therefore won NV. He did not owe her a concession speech. She claims popular vote when it benefits her and delegates when it benefits her.

I watched all the speeches from everyone tonight.. and Hillary took less than a half a sentence on Obama's win. That was not a concession and barely a congratulation. At least Edwards was gracious.

Perhaps no one really pays attention to what is really going on...But a large group of very high profile hispanics and latinos endorsed Obama in California. If she is counting on their vote, she needs to rethink that one!

Goodbye Bill and Hillary.. time to turn the page

Obama '08!

Hillary's statement on SC results

Hello! Why do these same supporters believe Barack Obama only wins because he is African-American?

Take a look at the candidates and waht they bring to the table. In my view, the Clintons rob the people of their dignity and intelligence with they distortion of the truth. Obama, on the other hand, is truthful, even if it hurts. Clintons remind us of the injustices of the past, and their bitterness shows through in their campaign message. Obama allows us to see the future with hope.

The election of a President is about the future of the United States. We need to see women in visible positions as this will evenutally change deep undercurrents of myths and misguided concepts. California is a great example of being comfortable with females in political office. With that all being said...I am voting for Hillary because she is the most capable and cares about our country and families. This doesn't take away Obama's talents. I just feel Hillary is the one to lead the country and has the vision to make it happen!!

Hillary's statement on SC results

crybay ob won now nbc msnbc and cnn can be happy againsad to say i watch fox now a least the are fair.i can tell the hole bunch of so called journ. would be yanked of the aair in europe.rember the deb. in sc. all the windbag did is stammer. by the way ob as in body odor? you go girl kick ass. hillary 08

Hillary's statement on SC results

National being HRC has turned Green, could that be from having to eat all the garbage she handed out in the last two weeks?

Low class, Americans have better moral being than the Clinton's think.
