Jared- exactly. McCain is just as much or more of a flip flopper than Romney. Plus, Romney admits openly the changes he's made and his reasons for it. McCain denies, denies, denies. He only ever admitted his change on immigration because he got hounded for the disaster that his previous stance was.

He lied to Tim Russert on the debate last week about his weakness on the economy- what he's said is documented, so the lie was obvious. (BTW, he also lied about his standing with Republicans in the polls- with whom he LOST in both NH and SC).

How many times have we heard him say that he is the straight talk express and that he thinks negative campaigning is wrong-- and now he's lying and twisting the truth and being the most negative and dirty campaigner of them all!!

BTW- Romney didn't raise ANY taxes in Mass. He raised fees that hadn't been changed in a decade. Fees are something people only have to pay once in awhile (like the cost to renew your driver's license- once every 10 years or so, big deal!). Taxes are daily. Come on people. learn the difference.

McCain is desperate as he sees his lead shrink. He may still win the nomination, but a lot of republicans and even independents will think twice before supporting someone with such a short fuse.

Personally, if he's the nominee I'll vote for a democrat (one that actually say's he's a democrat).

Mccain is making a huge mistake by going negative. It rarely works. It's what has hurt the DEMS when they went ballistic there for a bit. Alot of voters decided to NOT vote.
It also helped Huckabee. Even though he was the real instigator behind it. It is like when we were kids playing ball and get hacked by the opponent. You get the foul for retaliation because the ref didn't see the first one.

Happens in politics too. gotta know when to do a cheap shot and when to layoff. huckabee apologized for his sleazy remark and look what it did for him in IOWA.

I'm a recently retired veteran, served in Afghanistan, was in the Pentagon on 9/11. As an officer and also a squadron commander, integrity was always a key piece. Integrity to our nation, integrity to those whom we serve, integrity to those we serve with. McCain had integrity years ago, and we apprciate his service in Vietnam. But he lost while he was in Washington. He has little integrity or honor in his so-called "straight talk" to the nation; he lies. He says he honors our men and women in uniform, but is willing to commit them to an indefinite war in Iraq, and ready to commit them to more wars once he's in office. I agree we must stay till a resolution, and disagree with set timelines; but McCain is no interest in a final resolution as the war is his bread and butter.
