Giuli is just McCain smokescreen. He's only out there to make McCain look better. Notice how Giuli keeps leaving all of the states that McCain is about to win just before the election starts. Because Giuli is from New York people don't pay attention to McCain's conservative bona fides.

All Rethugs lose in a landslide in 08. The polls just don't show McCain losing it yet because they aren't capturing Evangelicals.

Evangelicals hate McCain. That's why there is a Giuli smokescreen.

Without the Evangelicals the GOP doesn't have a chance as a party. The Evangelicals are 30+ percent of their general election base.

Prediction: Romney carries Florida, wins nomination. Republicans get trounced by 8+% in the general.

If McCain does by one in a million chance win the GOP nomination and the general (1 to 10000000000000000000) then invest every cent you have in Giuli's investment firm. Those two have a deal working.

deede- If you go back through some of the First Read articles from yesterday and Sunday you'll find out. In the debate on Saturday, McCain claimed that he had never said that he was weak on economics... even though he has been quoted as saying just that in at least 2 huge newspapers (I think the NYT and Boston Globe). he also lied in the debate and said he's won the republican base twice (NH and SC- nope- exit polls said he only won those states because of the independents).

But the biggest, most notable lie was the one he said about Romney on Sunday- he said that Romney supported timetables for withdrawel from Iraq (surrender like Hillary). Even the liberal media is calling him out on this lie. What Romney said was that he thought milestones/timetables/GOALS for the progress of the war (NOT WITHDRAWEL) should be privately set/discussed within the US government and with the non-terrorist Iraqi government. Anyone with a brain who is not a war monger (McCain) would see that setting goals is how you accomplish a win. McCain has yet to say what a "win" is. He wants our troops to "win" this war by being there for 100 years. Romney wants our troops to win by setting specific goals and accomplishing them.

The obvious train of thought is that Romney HAS thought about a plan to win and McCain is just panicking as his lead decreases.

Lee, Romney started a successful business, which in turn saved numerous failing businesses and funded several successful start-ups. That's where his money came from. Good for him- he fulfilled the American dream. Where did he NOT get money from? He did NOT accept money when he fixed the Olympics and he did NOT accept a salary as governor of Massachusetts and he has said that he will NOT accept a salary if elected president.
