Obama can use all of the endorsements he can get right now. I'm expecting that Tuesday will be a fairly big day for Hillary. Too bad there wasn't more time for Obama to compete on the name recognition front. It's a shame that this election could be decided by non-college educated voters and those over 65. My parents, living in NJ, fall into both categories and they just won't budge yet. My parents only interest in politics comes about every 4 years. In my fathers case, I think there is a little bit of racism involved, although I believe him when he said he would vote for Obama if he won the nomination.

So the nominee could be decided by voters that pick a candidate much like they'd pick what NASCAR driver they were going to root for. And the 65+ vote...well...look at what they have given us for presidents. I guess out of the bunch the boomers put in office, Bill was the best, but they could have done so much better.

Still, I think this is going to come down to the convention. If Obama can continue to gain support till then, you may see a lot of super delegates break his way. Remember, they aren't pledged. Also, you have to see how Edwards plays the game. His delegates could play a major roll in who gets the nomination. The longer Obama can stay close the better it is for him. If it does indeed come down to the convention the Dems will be forced to take a hard look at who is most electable. Do the super delegates break for Hillary alienating black, young, independent and college educated voters, or do they break for Obama and alienate the 65+ crowd and those voters without a college education that will probably vote for Obama anyway?

But for Obama to pull it off, he must get through super Tuesday without Hillary looking like the clear nominee. Because I'm convinced that Obama can beat Hillary in many of the states after Feb 5th because he will have more time cut through the name recognition obstacle and get his message out. If we still see people endorsing Obama after Feb. 5th, that will be a very promising sign for Obama.

That's just my opinion as an Independent voter.

Kansas governor to endorse Obama

I am a staunch Republican and always have been. Sums it up quite well.
"This whole country needs to hear the truth about the Clintons and stop tip toeing around it. Bill and Hillary have already had 8 years ... and yes, the economy did well, partly because of their work and partly because of what happened in Sililcon Valley. But they had 8 years to pass health care reform, and failed ... had 8 years to reform immigration, and failed ... had 8 years improve the long term condition of Social Security and Medicare, and failed ... Had 8 years to really do something about America's failing schools, and failed ... had 8 years to put in place an energy plan that would lead us to energy independence, and failed. They passed all these unsolved problems on to President Bush just like Bush and Reagan passed them on to them and just like Bush II is goiing to pass them on once again. Instead of solving these problems, the Clintons got bogged down in scandal after scandal and the situation with Lewinski that completely distracted them from their real responsibility. They had their chance ... they had 8 YEARS! It's time to turn the page and move on. It's time to stop the politics of destroying the other side. It's time to pay attention and acknowledge why half the country has such an unfavorable opinion of the Clintons. HALF THE COUNTTRY! These people are not our enemies, they are our neighbors, our co-workers our fellow Americans and many of them absolutely can't stand the Clintons. It's time for real change, not 4 more years of what the country already rejected back in 2000."

Kansas governor to endorse Obama

Kansas Gov.

B Martin, Fremont, CA (Sent Tuesday, January 29, 2008 12:33 PM)

WELL WRITTEN & SAID..................AMEN!!!

GO OBAMA '08

Kansas governor to endorse Obama

evry governor, senator, some congressmen and congresswomen and various state officials count as superdelegates. if hillary, obama and edwards didn't get these endorsements then they may as well not campaign.

Kansas governor to endorse Obama

I would like to ask, how many of you had the "experience" when you got your first job? I grew up in Kansas and Chicago area, now live in Hawaii. To me, that makes Barrack Obama practically family. I'm over the moon about his candidacy. Can't wait for our caucus, even though past Super Tuesday, I think we'll matter, and we'd love to be the state that puts his delegate count over the top. Also the more time people have to get to know Obama the more they support him. The convention will also decide a lot based on who the Repulbican nominee is, if they have one. If McCain is the nominee then most superdelegates know HRC can't beat him so they will support Obama even if they previously supportted HRC. A brokered convention will be fascinating no matter how it breaks down.

Kansas governor to endorse Obama

The only people who have a hope of my vote this November are (in alpha order) McCain, Obama.
