Things seem to be trending the right way, but you get a sense its a race against time, with Clinton trying to run out the clock and Obama hoping he has enough momentum to keep pushing up and over before Tuesday.

Either way, its looking more and more like both come out of Super Duper Tsunami Tuesday with a split field of delegates, and on to follow-on states.

So maybe its a little too early for Clinton to run out the clock - so long as Obama can more or less convincingly be seen as surviving Tuesday's primaries.

With McCain looking like the Republican nominee, Dems are going to have to elect someone who has the ability to draw independents.

Everyone knew from day one that Hillary had a high floor and low cieling, and her campaign's strategy was based on the 51-49 strategy. Now with McCain as the Republican front runner, their election strategy simply isn't going to work due to McCains ability to draw independents. McCain is also going to tear Clinton apart in the debates on the issue of Iraq.

I think what we see from the polls, high profile endorsers, and grassroots movements is a coalescing around Obama because liberal folks realize he is the Democratic candidate who can beat McCain in November.

To support Obama over the war issue, despite his great lack of experience, is like the Republicans choosing a candidate solely over the abortion issue - we will get one more President on training wheels full of promises and lacking the knowledge of how to govern and get the job done.
