That is YOUR problem. You media types play this game of "expectations" and set these movable hurdles and bars, not us voters. You all are so busy "scripting" this election that you all must have writer's cramps. You are the ones who have created all of these scenarios, in hopes that one of them may play out. I have heard no predictions from Obama or his spokespeople -- and I was at his Albuquerque event -- when he meets with voters. I have not seen him "guarantee" a victory -- unlike Hillary who, in an interview with Katie Couric pre-Iowa declared emphatically "It will be me."

So let's face it, your expectations are out of control. I think the polling system probably has an inherent flaw, in that they generally call home phones. Nice try. Chris Matthews called the Joe Scarborough Show this morning and warned of this setting up by some in the Clinton camp and some in the media that if Obama doesn't now WIN CA it will be a huge disappointment. You bought into it apparently. The Obama camp has NEVER said they will win CA. They hope to get many delegates - but they have never said they expect to win the popular vote! People have been sending in absentee ballots for weeks so it is unlikely that Obama will win - but he will do very, very well in the delegate count. For you to say the media will now say it is a disappointment if Obama now does not WIN CA is ABSURD! As Chris Matthews pointed out the media did the exact same thing in 1984 with Mondale. It was set up that if he did not win GA it was all over. When he DID win GA - but lost a bunch of other states to Gary Hart, the media only played up Hart's loss in GA. BTW, you implied on MSNBC this morning that Obama was RAISING EXPECTATIONS by putting out Oprah, Maria, Caroline, Michelle, etc.! Well, isn't that just called CAMPAIGNING?? What are they supposed to do?? They want to get out as many votes as possible. But to extrapolate from that that the Obama campaign is saying because of this they will WIN CA - and that it will somehow be a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT in the media if they lose CA, (which is what is almost what EVERY POLL shows will be the case in the popular vote) - is an "expectations trick" by the media. I'm really shocked that you would buy into it. THE STORY IS THAT OBAMA HAS MADE UP A 20 POINT DEFICIT IN THE NATIONAL POLLS IN TWO WEEKS!! AND THAT THE LONGER THIS CAMPAIGN CONTINUES, THE BETTER IT IS FOR OBAMA AS HE HAS THE "BIG MO!!"

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

Senator Obama going to say to republicans when asked why he favors granting drivers' licenses to illegal immigrants as Obama has admitted twice in debates? From Northern Ireland to Sarajevo to Latin America, I have sung and marched, engaged in civil disobedience, visited war zones, and broken bread with those who had little bread to break.

Through all those years, I chose not to engage in party politics. Though I was asked many times to endorse candidates at every level, I was never comfortable doing so. At this time, however, changing that posture feels like the responsible thing to do. If anyone can navigate the contaminated waters of Washington, lift up the poor, and appeal to the rich to share their wealth, it is Sen. Barack Obama. If anyone can bring light to the darkened corners of this nation and restore our positive influence in world affairs, it is Barack Obama. If anyone can begin the process of healing and bring unity to a country that has been divided for too long, it is Barack Obama. It is time to begin a new journey.

JOAN BAEZ

Menlo Park
First thoughts: Going back to Cali

1) The New York Times on its front page explains how Sen. Barack Obama told voters he stood up to the nuclear power industry and how he passed a bill to require reports of any radioactive leaks after hearing from his constituents. But The Times discovers, after a lengthy examination, that the bill was watered down after meeting with Exelon, the company whose plants created the issue and whose key executives are big contributors and bundlers to his campaign. Answering written questions for the NY Times, the campaign, in the words of the paper, never "directly" explains why Sen. Obama would tell voters he passed a bill that in fact was not passed and did not become law.

2) The Chicago Tribune features a similar story on a different topic. While Sen. Obama on the stump tells people about the plight of Maytag workers who lost their jobs, ("Obama's fundraising collides with his rhetoric") the Tribune documents that the union covering those workers believes they got no help from the Senator, who was again taking significant contributions and bundling from one of the company's directors and biggest investors.

3) And yesterday there was an AP story where Senator Obama told the voters of Idaho: ''And then there are people who say, 'Well, he doesn't believe in the Second Amendment,' even though I come from a state -- we've got a lot of hunters in downstate Illinois. And I have no intention of taking away folks' guns.'' But he didn't disclose to those voters, as the AP said that "he does support gun control and has a record of voting for it in the Illinois Senate. He backed limiting handgun purchases to one a month, but he made no attempts to ban them." When he originally ran for the state legislature 12 years ago, he filled out a questionnaire saying he ''supported banning the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns.'' He gave the voters of Idaho no indication whatsoever of either his record in the State Senate or his prior views on the questionnaire.

where are these posts, first read. It's about time to start treating this race fairly!

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

California First Lady Maria Shriver Announces Support for Barack Obama(click on video below)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62_ajoKkuHA&eurl=http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/hqblog
First thoughts: Going back to Cali

By CHARLES BABINGTON, Associated Press Writer
Sun Feb 3, 11:40 AM ET WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.

And so it begins. Do it her way, or, do it her way.
First thoughts: Going back to Cali

Kate Michelman, the former president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, has endorsed Barack Obama for President of the United States...

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

This is not over! PAUL – Writer and humorist Garrison Keillor today announced his endorsement of Senator Barack Obama for President.

In a letter to Senator Obama, Keillor wrote:

“I'm happy to support your candidacy, which is so full of promise for our country. Seven years of a failed presidency is a depressing thing, and the country is pressing for a change and looking for someone with clear vision who is determined to break through the rhetorical logjam and find sensible ways to move our country forward. That's you, friend.

“I can't think of a happier prospect for next January than to see you and your wife and children stepping out on the platform in front of the Capitol for the inauguration. The sight of this will bring to an end a long sour chapter in our history. It will be an enormous moment. And of course it will be exciting to have a president who can speak with grace and power to the American people. Your campaign is a great tonic for America and that's why so many young people are excited about it. I congratulate you on your awesome achievement so far and pledge my support toward victory in November.”

Keillor is best known as the host of Public Radio’s A Prairie Home Companion and is also a best-selling author and humorist.

“I’ve been entertained and inspired by Garrison Keillor’s work through the years,” Obama said. “His tales of life in Lake Wobegon tell the story of life in quintessential middle America. I’m honored to have his support and, as president, I will wake up every day thinking about how I can help make life better in places like Lake Wobegon all across the country.”
First thoughts: Going back to Cali

Jerry writes .... "With people in California just loving to pay over 50% of their pay in taxes, I can see them voting for Hillary in big numbers. Whether you are rich or dirt poor, if you are not paying over 50% of your hard earned money to the state of California, you are just not doing enough" another entry from an ignorant Republican from Texas who knows NOTHING about California. Every trip, every film, I meet people who still keep photographs of my family on their walls. They cry when they meet me, simply because they were touched by my father, Robert Kennedy. In part, this is because my father supported policies and legislation that helped the disenfranchised. But it is also, and perhaps more importantly, because they felt that my father understood their pain. Senator Obama has that quality too. He has an open heart and an energizing spirit.

Recently, my mother, Ethel Kennedy, said of Obama: "I think he feels it. He feels it just like Bobby did. He has the passion in his heart. He's not selling you. It's just him."

I agree. Obama is a genuine leader. We Americans - women included - desperately need that kind of leader now. Not a president of a particular gender or a specific race, but a president with a different vision, one who inspires a sense of hope.

To elect Barack Obama is to choose a new direction, set a new course - to steer America toward a better place, better for women as well as men, better for us all.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/02/02/ED39UQKTS.DTL

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

So, Hillary, ya have'n fun yet girl? I have always thought yes - my husband, no. But this morning with this post and your appearance on MSNBC he has come over to my side.

It is such Clintonian spin - a Mark Penn dirty trick - to say it will be a disappointment to both Obama and the media if Obama loses in California. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Obama was double-digit points behind Hillary two weeks ago. The ABSENTEE voting has been going on for a month. SO... is it really logical to believe that Obama could make up the 50% of votes that have ALREADY BEEN CAST? He is surging now, and will probably win the majority of late-voters, but to say he can overcome 50% that were cast as long as a month ago is to buy into a sleazy spin by Mark Penn. To say that it will be a huge disappointment if Obama loses the CA popular vote is an absolutely pro-Hillary statement. You convinced my husband, Chuck, therefore, that you must be in Hillary's corner. Thanks, Chuck - you proved me right.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

FRO THE LIFE OF ME I CAN'T UNDERSTAND ANYONE WOULD VOTE DEMOCRAT. WHETHER HILLARY OR OBAMA, YOU CAN BE ASSURED YOUR TAXES WILL RISE AND RISE. ARE WE ON THE WAY TO BECOMING A SOCIALIST COUNTRY? IS OUR ROLE MODEL THE EUROPEAN SYSTEM? LOOK WHERE ITS GOTTEN THEM. THIS COUNTRY HAS ALWAYS BEEN HEAVILY CAPITALISTIC AND ITS SERVED US WELL FOR CENTURIES. REMEMBER-BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

I can't vote for a President who doesn't have a track record of public works. (See clip below.)

But as a U.S. Senate candidate, Mr. Obama told Illinois college students in January 2004 he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use or possession, a debate video shows.

“I think we need to rethink and decriminalize our marijuana laws,” Mr. Obama said during a debate at Northwestern University. “But I’m not somebody who believes in legalization of marijuana.”(See clip below.)

When confronted with the statements on the video, Obama’s campaign offered two explanations to The Times in less than 24 hours. At first, Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said the candidate had “always” supported decriminalizing marijuana, suggesting that his 2004 statement was correct. Then after The Times posted copies of the video on its Web site, www.washingtontimes.com, yesterday, his campaign reversed course and declared he does not support eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana possession and use.

Assuming Obama can’t tell when he is lifting up his arm to vote (green “Yes” voting buttons and red “No” voting buttons also confuse Obama), why did he not bother to clarify his position the day after the debate? Who is this guy? Check out the videos.

And it’s not just confusion about pot smoking. There is more smoke coming out of Obama.

Mr. Obama’s differing answers on marijuana are among five conflicts between positions he took while running for Senate in 2004 and those he now articulates while running for president, a review of debate tapes shows. Experts said the likely reason for the changes was that Mr. Obama ran as a liberal during his Senate run but has become more centrist as he pursues the broad coalition required to win the White House. [snip]

In a 2003 forum on health care, Mr. Obama said he supported the children of illegal aliens’ receiving the same benefits as citizens, “whether it’s medical, whether it’s in-state tuition.” Asked specifically whether he included “undocumented” people, Mr. Obama replied, “Absolutely.”(See clip below.)

But in a CNN debate Jan. 21, when Mr. Obama was asked whether his health care proposal covers illegal aliens, he said “no” and that he first wants to cover the U.S. citizens and legal residents without health care.

In 2004, Mr. Obama told an audience at Southern Illinois University, “I think it’s time for us to end the embargo with Cuba. … It’s time for us to acknowledge that that particular policy has failed.”(See clip below.)

However, he stopped short of calling for an end to the embargo in a Miami Herald op-ed in August. He said he would rely on diplomacy, with a message that if a post-Fidel Castro government made democratic changes, the U.S. “is prepared to take steps to normalize relations and ease the embargo.”

“Senator Obama has consistently said that U.S. policy toward Cuba has failed,” Mr. Vietor said.

In an October 2003 NAACP debate, Mr. Obama said he would “vote to abolish” mandatory minimum sentences. “The mandatory minimums take too much discretion away from judges,” he said.(See clip below.)

Mr. Obama now says on his Web site, www.barackobama.com, that he would “immediately review sentences to see where we can be smarter on crime and reduce the ineffective warehousing of nonviolent drug offenders.”

When shown transcripts of the videos, Mr. Vietor said: “The American people want a president who is going to be honest with them and talk about how we can tackle the challenges we face.”

The Times obtained the video footage of the public debates from a variety of sources, ranging from open sources such as YouTube to political operatives who oppose Mr. Obama’s presidential campaign or his Senate bid in Illinois. Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, for instance, recently released footage on its Web site of a 2004 speech in which Mr. Obama spoke about universal health care, accusing him of a flip-flop.(See clip below.)

Mr. Obama told an AFL-CIO group in June 2003: “I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer, universal health care plan.” But in a recent debate he said he has never endorsed such a plan.

Just who is this guy? It’s like buying a nickle bag of pot and getting oregano.

Today, the New York Times (finally) bothers to examine (at this late date) Obama’s voting record and entanglements.

When residents in Illinois voiced outrage two years ago upon learning that the Exelon Corporation had not disclosed radioactive leaks at one of its nuclear plants, the state’s freshman senator, Barack Obama, took up their cause.

Mr. Obama scolded Exelon and federal regulators for inaction and introduced a bill to require all plant owners to notify state and local authorities immediately of even small leaks. He has boasted of it on the campaign trail, telling a crowd in Iowa in December that it was “the only nuclear legislation that I’ve passed.”

“I just did that last year,” he said, to murmurs of approval.

A close look at the path his legislation took tells a very different story. While he initially fought to advance his bill, even holding up a presidential nomination to try to force a hearing on it, Mr. Obama eventually rewrote it to reflect changes sought by Senate Republicans, Exelon and nuclear regulators. The new bill removed language mandating prompt reporting and simply offered guidance to regulators, whom it charged with addressing the issue of unreported leaks.

Clinton 2008!!!!!
First thoughts: Going back to Cali

The reason the Clinton's threw out the California bait is because they want the nedia to focus on that state (where they are pretty safe due to early voting) and not on the big surprise. A leader inspires, leads and unites. A manager performs day-to-day tasks of making sure the little things are humming along. This is why the actor Ronald Reagan was great because he led and let managers(the Secretaries) do the managing or administering. All the President(leader) has to do is pick the right managers to do the micromanagement for him. Between, hillary and obama, hillary is the good administrator but obama is the better leader hands down. There lies the difference.
If you guys want more of the hatefulness and divisiveness in both the clinton and bush administrations, then elect hillary, just don't be surprised if the republicans are going to use her for continuous rounds of spiteful hateful attackes and vice-versa. Period. Don't hold his wealth against him; if you do then you're simply jealous. He is spending hiw OWN money to run for President because it's a cause he's believes in and he CAN make a change! Simply being a war hero DOES NOT (and let me repeat again) DOES NOT make you qualified for President. It qualifies McCain in ONE issue: National Security. We've heard him admit he doesn't have a clue about the economy and he's all for amnesty. Consider how he would do with multiple issues and then tell me if you think he'd be a good President. He took cheap shots at Romney and you ALL know it. Why do you want a President with no character? Get over your personal biases with Romney and look for who would be the MOST qualified at beating a Democrat! It's not about you, it's about this nation. Do what's best for the Republican party. Please define to me what deems "action to be action". He graduated Magna Cum Laude for Harvard Law, worked as a civil rights attorney in Southside Chicago, taught constitutional/civil rights law and Unv. of Chicage, worked tiredlessly for as an Illinois legislator and US Senator. Yes, he is a brillant speaker, but all you have to do is check the facts to see that he is so much more. He was very specific about the issues in the debate, and if you need further proof, check out his website. He has overcome so much in his life, and the fact that he is able to be a viable candidate for president, says that he got to this point by more than just rhetoric. Try perserverance, diligence, hard-work, intelligence, courage, suppport, and a fighting spirit. Give the man some credit. He's not a village idiot like our current president, and to compare him is just plain absurd.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

I have thought about and living here in Illinois...Ive decided to go for Clinton. He is a "speaker", only, but are we really seeing the man for what he is. The media always wants a good story. He does not have the experience to lead the country, unless he gets himself another "Dick Chaney" to tell him what to do in foreign policy issues. We know how that works. Clinton is strong and knows what she is doing and has worked with all the issues America is troubled with at this time. If we think for a moment America would be better off without a "political" person leading the country I am sure all our enemies will be very pleased with Obama as America's president. This disturbed me so bad, to think that we might actually have a president, who refuses to wear a flag pin ( seems meaningless, yes} but what message does this send to other countries? I mean we are at war in 2 countries, patriotism should count especially in a presiden. And this made me wander if he wasn't sending some kind of message to the Arab coutries. He is part Mosslim isn't he? I disagreed with the war from the begining but made me wander what his reasons were for voting against the war. I got this youtube video of Obama in an email and have never seen it televised on any news station. WHY? I think it is something the american people should see before they cast their vote. Wonder if maybe the republican run news media is saving it to play when it comes down to Obama and the republican nominee. Go to you tube and check it out. Very disturbing to me.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

It is delusional to think that politics will be any different in the future if Obama wins the Democratic nomination. If Obama wins, he will be attacked just as viciously and constantly as Hillary will be. Look at the internet trash about him being a Muslim because you will be seeing that in national ads. It amazes me when people say Hillary is too devisive. It is not Hillary that is devisive, it is the country that is divided. What happens is Republican politics, pure and simple. Either candidate will be slandered, lied about and swift boated. Vote for the one you think can take the heat, or the one you think can rise above it, or whatever other criteria you have, but don't vote for Obama because the other side has not as yet demonized him. The winner of the nomination will be demonized enough by the Republicans without the help of Democratic voters.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

People keep harping on Obama's lack of executive experience, but fail to acknowledge that Hillary Clinton also lacks executive experience. Being married to a former president doesn't make you presidential. Obama was a state legislator for some 6-8 years. As a result, Obama and Hillary Clinton have almost the same amount of legislative experience, but neither candidate has any executive experience.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

Present votes, missed button votes, did everyone miss his explaination on a present vote for a bill he authored...he said it came to his attention it would not pass judicial scurtiny...if he is such a brillant lawyer,,,why did he author a bill that would not pass judical review? Talk about pandering..Obama is truly a scirpted POLITICIAN...WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

I wouldn't expect an early "surge" of votes unless the unemployment rate is grossly mis-understood at 4.9%!Shouldn't everyone be at work and after 5 or 6pm they rush to cast?
I really don't understand why, when Obama's & Oprah speak in front of a predominately Afro-American crowd, they alter their dialect.(ie: SC Vs. The only 2 things Obama has going for him is the fact that he is good at performing speaches and he is half black....I see nothing else that he has proven or anyone of his supporters have proven...just open ended promises.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

Is this country truly audacious enough to believe in hope again?

I read the previous comments about Senator Obama's experience. Huh. It appears many have forgotten that Mr. Bush was a two-term Governor of the very large state of Texas when he became President. Many argue that being Governor is a stepping stone to the U.S. Presidency because of the great experience of managing a state which apparently gives one insight into managing the country. Bush surrounded himself with those whom were deemed the "Dream Team" of skilled policymakers and, brilliant thinkers on issues of defense. Yet we have a 21st Century Viet Nam in Iraq with NO END in sight. The Taliban and al Qaeda have both regrouped in Afghanistan because we squandered our goodwill with the rest of the world by going after a threat that wasn't eminent. President Clinton, because of his domestic scandal with a White House intern, was unable to fully focus on American’s business, such as bin Laden, thus leaving him free to help orchestrate the 911 attack. President Clinton also ignored the genocide in Rwanda and the Congo. Madeline Albright who was his Secretary of State at the time, refused to acknowledge that the mass killings in Rwanda was in fact genocide. At the same time acknowledging that what happened in Bosnia was genocide. I bring Albright name in because she has been seen on the campaign trail with Senator Clinton. It seems to me many of those from the Clinton Whitehouse years will be part of (if elected) the Hillary Whitehouse.

Both Bush and Clinton's poor economic policies have the country heading for a catastrophic recession via allowing lending institutions to use loan shark practices. Both administrations created the illusion that more middle class Americans were doing well, when in actuality more Americans were buying homes they couldn't afford, buying beyond their economic capacity via credit card debt, and now the chickens have come home to roost. President Clinton said his administration was building a bridge to the 21st century; however, some folk were left stuck on the Gretna Bridge in New Orleans, like the Katrina victims. Millions of working poor Americans never made it across during the alleged success of the Clinton years. More children dropped out of school. More American jobs were shipped overseas (Ross Perot anyone?). I could go on but when people start looking back on the Clinton years with nostalgic eyes, I have to chuckle a little bit because they certainly are doing the same thing that they accused the Obama supporters of doing now.

If Hillary Clinton experience is quantified by her many years as a corporate attorney, then I say no thanks.
If Hillary Clinton’s experience is valued because she advised and served on the board of Wal-Mart, then I say no thanks.
If Hillary Clinton experience is claiming to provide health coverage by garnishing the wages of the working poor and middle class, then I say no thanks.
First thoughts: Going back to Cali

"By relying on governors to certify that the border is secure, McCain is shirking responsibility," Napolitano said.
This is McCain's State Govenor from AZ speaking. Yet, they followed government mandates to spend our money on the illegal aliens through our social services, schools and hospitals. I am a believer that their action speaks louder than their words. You know, Albert Einstein had a way to prove stupidity. He said, “If you continue to do the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome then the answer is obvious, you’re stupid.” So, if you are going to do the same thing over and over again by voting for a republican or democrat and are expecting a different result from their service then you fit Albert Einstein’s definition. I've been around you guys since 1966 and NEVER saw you do it. We made a commitment to seeing in an age of non-violent,environmentally conscious, people oriented movements. Remember it was Bush's Daddy that put up Operation Dead Stop, the scene was over run by COINTELPRO and DeadHeads were bastardized as lazy dirty useless Hippies. You and I both know nothing was further from the truth. It was hippies that got the EPA. It was Hippies that created the first free food and Free Clinics back when our Government could'nt give a damn about the poor. They still don't.
I can get behind being active, hell I'm running a counter culture style campaign for president myself, but to say DeadHeads back some democrat that only did'nt vote for the war because he was'nt in Congress at the time and has never cast a real vote since he's been in,flies in the face of everything we've fought and some died for,for the last fourty years. Don't get me wrong,I don't think any of the so-called candidates are worth a bag of shit, because they are all supported by corperations that only care about profits and not the fact they are killing every living thing with their pollution. That these people really don't give a damn about the poor, elderly,or all the hungry and ill children. There's not one of them that's a true Peacemaker. Not one of them is interested in changing the policies that got us 9/11. My Ideas may be radical, utopian and drastic but after the 'moving so far to the right as to be unrecognizable',as Nixion proclaimed, they need to be. Yes I'd like to see see Bush and Co. jailed for their actions that took us into Iraq, and, they should be, shit Kesey had to leave the country for doing very much less. I'm all for people having a choice, that's real democracy. But don't roll out 'Wave that Flag' and DeadHeads Support So and So, since most of them live in the income bracket that will see the least amout of tax relief effort sent their way. The Democrats and the Republicans have become the same Party and what they have done to all of us, is what it is, Tyranny. If you want to hop up on a soapbox for someone at least do it for a cause that really stands up for the People, the Environment, Non-Violence and creating policies that bring us to Peace, not just a choice of the lesser of two evils. You and I both know what that spells...SELL-OUT.
I still see Mickey,Phil and Bob as Brothers and don't worry all of you together would'nt come close to being in the 90% tax bracket I talk about the wealthy being held accountable to,but the machine behind the candidates is.
Power through Peace,Power for the People
Jeffrey7
People Over Tyrants Party

Draft Candidate for Presidentwww.youtube.com/RevJeffrey7

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

All of you Clinton fans must read the Article "CLINTON DONORS OVERLAP" just write it in your web search bar and it will pop right up for you.

This article will explain most of the real scams the Clintons have pulled off for the last 15 years.

Clinton followers must get their heads out of the sand and read these facts. Whatever that means?????? He is for nothing except himself and furthering his agenda and he will be about as honest as he has been so far which is not at all and the same as the current congress which promised to run a positive term and get over all the political bickering and congessional investigations.First thing they did was attack attack attack.Obama says im running a positive campaign and the MEDIa like you have been saying how great he is for running a positive campaign, while all along going afterHilliary with attack attack attack. Sotuh Carolinian's vote for me Hilliary is racist. Then when Bill calls out the Media fr the biased and double standardness of their reporting, they blame him and say he and Hilliary brought up the rae card to cover Obama's butt as they have done the whole time.A lot of people know how Obama has gotten where he has gotten so far and the extremely dirty tricks he has played and the typical MEDIA backing of these dirty tricks.Par for the coarse.Makes you question anything in History in the last 20 years or more. Now i understand whhy there are so many conspiracy theorists.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

I must applaud you Chuck. For the first time someone on msnbc or nbc has exposed a little dirt on Obama. I am a republican and I hope that Hillary wins the nod but I must admit that I have never seen as much bias towards a candidate as yall have given Obama. It's actually a little disgusting. I just wish you guys could hide that big crush yall have on Obama a little better. Its a shame when the only reporter that has gone after Obama up until this point has been Meridith Viera.

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

If Obama sent in his resume, he wouldn't even be called in for an interview. In the words of Erica Jong, he is smart and attractive, but has little experience. In addition to her work in politics, Hillary's life long pro bono work has been for women and children, two groups often oppressed. She would be a real voice for these groups, that we have never had in this country in addition to reforming healthcare and ending the war in Iraq in a responsible way. (Yes she made a mistake voting for the war, but what politician has not tried to move to the center in order to get elected?). For the past 8 years this country has had a president without enough experience. Look what happened. It appears it's going to happen again. While Obama offers hope to some, in others he elicits fear. In a time of war and economic crisis, how can we elect someone with no resume? Won't we ever learn?

First thoughts: Going back to Cali

Obama is no more well loved in Illinois than the rest of the Democratic machine in the state.
