Imagine what it's like for Hillary, who has to get her point across to thousands of people at speaking engagements, answer questions from both potential voters and the media, refute false allegations and mean spirited propaganda from Obama's proxies, and be at as many as a half dozen speaking engagements all in one day. ...and if you wonder why she got a little teary eyed, it was most likely due to lack of sleep.
#2) The media seems to be more worried about the news it creates than covering the story at hand. This "thread" proves it. We aren't here to read about the plight of the poor traveling media, we're here to pick a President.
Get over yourselves, and start reporting the news accurately and fairly.
STOP THE YELLOW JOURNALISM, STOP OPENLY CHEERLEADING & LYING FOR OBAMA, AND START DOING WHAT THE PUBLIC EXPECTS YOU TO DO....TELL THE TRUTH.

Surviving the campaign trail

Being a resident of Hamilton, NJ I had the great privilege of seeing John McCain speak in my town today. One of the things that really amazed me was the hard working press corp. I travel as part of my job responsibilites and understand the hardships that go with it. My respect for the traveling political press corp has increased immensely after my experience today.

Surviving the campaign trail

I hope Barack Obama supporters who live in the Boston area will try and go to his rally this evening at the Seaport World Trade Center @ 8:00 pm.

I wish I had known Mika and Joe were broadcasting in Boston this morning; I would have loved to have met both of them. The thought of reliving the muck slinging of the 90’s certainly takes the wind out of my sails.

I do not want a return to the arguments and conversations about Bill’s indiscretions, and when I hear this coming from those who have supported the criminal actions of the Bush administration, I become afraid my head will explode. However, the problem is this; Clinton will be running, Bush will not.

One more thought. This nation has disgraced itself in the world. We are not trusted, we are no longer respected, and we are no longer believed.

When a person or a nation behaves badly, it is not enough just to return to what you were before you behaved badly, which is what a Clinton Presidency would be. What you were before you behaved badly was someone who proved capable of behaving badly. So we have to do better.

I will go to the polls tomorrow and vote for Barack Obama.

We need leadership that is smart (he is brilliant), that understands the need to garner advice and perspectives from many fronts, which can provide an iconic image that represents a progressive change in conscience, and leadership that can speak to America and the world in a way that makes us proud.

We need leadership with the integrity to stand strong on important issues before public opinion catches up, as Barack Obama did with regard to the war in Iraq.

We need to send a message to the world and ourselves that we have learned our lesson, that we intend to use our power wisely, and that we are capable or righting our wrongs.

We need desperately to prove to ourselves and the world that misinformation and divisive tactics can only briefly sideline us.

We need to demonstrate to ourselves and the world that we are capable of coming together, recovering our reason, and acting responsibly.

I am convinced that this will only happen if we choose to move forward, together, with reason, courage, and integrity. The future is in our hands, we must not return to the divisive politics that has become our norm, we must move into the future united, clear minded, and with the reason that can return this nation to greatness.
Surviving the campaign trail

About the self centered author of this piece, she got on national T.V. and said in response to the proverbial question what does Hillary say to Obama about his voters not voting for her while he would get her voters, and the response? "Well, Hillary 'TRIES' to say that she has already gotten republican votes" Listen Ms. Jones with the braids which look sooo fetching in your photo, I'd like to 'TRY' to tell you that indeed, Obama is the one who has not actually been tested with all these votes he claims he will get that Hillary won't. Even though he has spent the last YEAR going around the country using republican talking points claiming that Hillary is so divisive, the truth is he is the one who is actually divisive. In questioning her character, his comes into question. In saying she will say anything to get elected he just said anything to get himself elected. In using republican tactics, going to Idaho and telling those people he's for gun ownership while conveniently leaving out his big support in Illinois for gun control, this is the man who will say anything to get elected. This is the guy who picks up the jive talk while in S.C. America will get a lot of the same or worse than what it has right now. They have been in Washington and haven't gotten anything done. America will go no where on any stance, whether it be militarily or otherwise, if it doesn't have a strong economy. As much as a lot of people don't like Mitt Romney, he is the only one that can expose Washington for what it has done to this nation and turn it around so we, as a nation, can get back on track. Mitt Romney understands what kind of nation we will be living in if any of the Senators go back to Washington, that is exactly why he has put his money where his mouth is. He won't have anyone to payback but himself. None of the other canidates, Democrat or Republican, can say that.
