Good post Kat. Doesn't it seem that he is more of a "speaker of words" than a "speaker of substance"? He is offering change without detailing the changes, at least not lately. There is no way he can go into DC and "change" the way things are done. The ways of DC are too ingrained in the representatives who make it their lifes work to stiffle change. Plus we have already had 8 years of a president that does not want to be hands on, look where that has taken us.

And most importantly... bringing our troops home! These are just some of the reasons I support Barack and the ideals he's inspired.

I think Obama has done a great job. He has stired up excitement and brought new voters and that is great. But for the party could be a double edge sword.He brought also race issues and did it conivingly. I am a Hillery supporter, Kind of past middle age.OK Retired .Oh OK OLD!! but I remember back when we had racial problems and thought we were working our way through them. I feel now it is going back to those rotten days and worse. I was in the store while back and a black man pushed me. I said what was that for he told me to get used to it .He said it is our turn now yes we can. Some of you have been asking "What has Obama done?" but the truth is you need to be asking what hasn’t he done? The very question proves to the ones in the know that you haven’t done your homework & are clueless so ill make It simple for you by giving you the facts and then showing you all where to go to check them out.
Simply put The answer is: Obama has been doing His Job Introducing bills, voting wisely & endorsing what works or makes sense which is all he needs to do because at the end of the day that’s all that politicians do. They vote to pass bills and occasionally introduce them. Obama has spent over 11 years doing this (8 in the Illinois Senate & 3 in the US Senate). In contrast Hillary has spent only 1 term (6 yrs) in the US Senate. The 8 as the first lady which she keeps trying to shove in her resume honestly do not count since the role of first lady is to run around greeting people, naming things, acknowledging accomplishments and occasionally starting a program or two such as her failed healthcare reform. Although meaningful to some these are not critical tasks since god forbid a president ever be single (sarcasm).
Getting back on the topic “So what exactly has Obama done?” to answer that question lets first look at what Hillary has done in the her past 6 years in office in which she’s passed into law 20 pieces of legislation.

Here they are
1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Hon
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O’Shea.
7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men’s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men’s Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.
13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.
15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty.

Only five of Clinton’s bills are more substantive:

Is it just me or does it Seem like she’s gotten too comfortable with her roll as first lady?

Now, I would post those of Obama’s, but the list is too substantive, so I’ll mainly categorize.

During the first eight years on the Illinois senate he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced:

233 regarding healthcare reform,
125 on poverty and public assistance,
112 crime fighting bills,
97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,
21 ethics reform bills,
15 gun control,
6 veteran’s affairs and many others.
& during His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These inculded:

**the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law),
**The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law),
**The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,
**The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law),
**The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more

Going off the facts Hillary is playing house while Obama is not playing at all. He’s the real deal. But then you would have to be if you were a black man taking a serious run at the white house.

As a middle-class american, I notice experienced individuals in the workplace and it is apparent just how little they know. I believe change (new direction and people) is needed and Obama will be the "outsider looking in" able to unite a nation (which he is currently achieving), a world who has suffered greatly from our past administrations, especially our current one. As a woman, I would love a first woman president, but not one who cries when under pressure and who has a husband trying to play the race card to gain more support. It is not about blacks, whites, hispanics or other nationalities as whos worth or vote is more relevant. It is about a new America where all people can be equal, not divided. We need a strong candidate able and capable and Obama is the one to take us to the White House.

Hope is not new, but at least we have a chance to convert hopes and dreams into reality. It is obvious how the hopeless vote...

I went to vote at 9am this morning in my small VERY VERY RED part of Virginia. I was the 118th Democratic Primary voter so far in our little precinct. I didn't even know we had that many Democrats here. My 4 year old son told everyone in line that we were there to vote for "Bach Bama" and everyone around us smiled and a few told him they were too. It was amazing!
