Mike Huckabee came out of nowhere with ideas and a platform that he can actually back up with a record. He's had a great campaign and achieved what he has having only spent 9 MILLION dollars....and that means a very respectable number of your fellow Americans, especially in YOUR neck of the woods, agreed with his ideas. Huckabee has been called "the best natural campaigner" in this race. He has the likeability factor that McCain needs to campaign effectively against Obama.

By the way, it's just silly to think we need some sort of economic messiah in the Presidency/Vice Presidency. We need economists to handle economic policy, not businessmen. (Remember, it wasn't Reagan who devised supply side economics...it was ECONOMIST Keynes...and proposed as policy to Reagan by USC professor and ECONOMIST Art Laffer.) Plus, we are in a cyclical correction. Any economy NEEDS short cooling off periods to stay healthy in the long run. We'll pull out of it soon enough.
The true culprit in this correction is the MSM. They are going by the old playbook of emotionalizing/sensationalizing economic news in order to impact consumer confidence. Our economy goes as our consumer confidence goes. Think back to the end of the Clinton presidency. Darel from Greenville SC - McCain is winning fair and square? Do you think it's fair when Ron Paul was given almost no time to talk in the debates and no media attention. His speech at the Conservative Convention was the only one not televised. They televised McCain, Romney and Huckabee. Ann Coulter said she was afraid to have a conversation with Ron Paul because he is so intelligent that he may make her want to support him.
It looks like more people would be confronting the media about why they are afraid to let people hear Ron Paul? No more free speech in America so we can decide for ourselves?? Even if you're not for him, doesn't this bother any of you. Ron Paul MUST have something very special if they go to such an extent to hope he's not seen and heard!
What I don't get is why everyone says they don't like Bush and how bad things are right now and then they turn around and vote for McCain who is exactly like him. Can you tell me the difference between them? Ron Paul gets more financial support from veterans than any other candidate, republican or democrat. Supporting the troops is getting them OUT of Iraq, not sending them there over and over until they end up killing themselves or so mentally messed up that they don't want to live anymore. You call that supporting the troops? Do you all care more about Iraq than our own citizens?

P.S. All of you that say to stay in Iraq until we "WIN"??? How can anyone think that there is a way to win? My brother was killed in Vietnam and now after 40 years some people are saying we won in Vietnam? That's the biggest bunch of garbage I've ever heard. Also, I believe Ron Paul when he says we're in much more danger by being in Iraq then if we weren't. By being there our enemies have a reason to attack us.
