I'd like to know what they specifically believe is false about his "false attack ads." That quote in general is fairly ridiculous, given that it was her campaign that struck first on this issue.

I guess they may not like the "same old politics" line in his ad, but in general his ad is positive, talking about his own plans and uses sourced quotes.

This issue is nonsense anyway. Seems like grasping at straws to me.

WOW! The Clintons are now resorting to distortions and outright likes. I guess I knew the Democratic campaign would be getting ugly, but in my heart I hoped and believed that Hillary would not reach this low. I'm naive.

PLEASE let this be the election that finally disproves that adage "Nobody likes attack ads, but they WORK."

America is really trying to grow up here. It's like America is stuck inside the mind of a 13-year-old who is struggling with his first notion of ethics, personal responsibility, and altruism, but just can't trust it. Perhaps the 13-year-old has a history of being abused - told he doesn't matter - made to feel worthless - felt the pain of bigotry and discrimination?

We need a child psychologist to be president. But in the absence of that, I'm voting for the candidate who speaks to my hopes and aspirations, rather than my insecurities and these poking little pretend-barbs of policy slant.

How many debates have there been? 18? 20? It's not like there haven't been any debates. The only reason Clinton wants debates is for the free air time. Do you really think she'd be asking for debates if she was up by like 500 delegates? Obama agreed to 2 debates which I think is fair. I can't remember a previous presidential election in which there were so many debates BEFORE the nominees were selected, so Hillary's ads just smack of desperation.

Won't some 527 please come forward to remind voters that Hillary Clinton has been just as fond of secrecy and as loath to give up any requested information as Dick Cheney is, since day one in the White House as First Lady.

Remember the travelgate incident, for instance, in which, as first lady, she pretended for as long as she could that requested information couldn't be found? When the pressure got too great, a folder just appeared on a side table? After Bush, no amount of pressure seems to be enough to force the executive to cough up anything and that would be just fine with Hillary.

She is also hardly likely to want to reverse the trend toward secrecy and consolidation of power in the executive branch with which the Bush administration is tearing down the beautiful structure of our constitution, which means our country, as the United States of America IS the constitution and visa versa.

We can quibble about policy details but what is more important than getting away from such arrogance, secrecy and unconstitutional concentration of power in the executive. That's the change we so desperately need and not at all the kind of change Hillary wants. How about it, 527s?

Why is the ad negative? Seems to me, if it is baseless it would be simple to knock down. A good forum for doing just that would be a debate.

Someone from the Obama camp can help me a great deal by explaining why lobbies are inherently evil. I though a lobby was simply a group of individuals with a common cause engaged in an effort to influence congress or other legislative officials.

Say you think children should be protected from sexual predators and you link up with a group of like minded citizens to take your case to Washington. What's wrong with that? And what is wrong with a group making donations to a political campaign or political organization that is in support of their cause?

All this accusatory language about one pol or another taking donations from lobbiests seems silly. Certainly there is such a thing as a bribe but to be harshly criticised for taking a donation from a group whose ideas you support; made up of individuals that stand in support of your ideas doesn't seem so wrong to me.

Maybe I'm just a little slow. When Senator Obama talks about Clinton taking money from lobbiests is he just using a form of code to imply that she has taken bribes? Pretty heavy charge.

Many economists and The Wall Street Journal (not exactly a friend of Hillary's) says his health plan will leave about 15 million people out.

I wonder how many clamouring for more debates have watched any of the prior ones. Although it'll be interesting to see the 1st real debate that isn't underlined by all Democrats like each other.

The "challenge" seems trite but I admit I'd watch it.
And did anyone really think this wouldn't go negative as it narrowed down? My only issue with all of this is the following.

The public polls say Americans are tired of attack ads. I wonder what ganja are they distributing before they poll? Read these posts, the public themselves are attacking each other based on who they support. How can the candidates stay positive when their staff and they too sometimes read weblogs like this? Booooooo.

And to every Democrat in here. We're bashing 2 Democrats here. No one is challenging McCain, calling him out or questioning his policies. Booooooo, again.

I am 58 years old and have never contributed to a political campaign before now. I lost my job of 30 years in 2004, and my husband lost his job of 27 years in 2005. We both were able to get new jobs (making less than half of what were were making before), but my husband just found out that he is losing his job again due to downsizing. Also, my son-in-law lost his job last week, also due to downsizing. In spite of all of our hardship, I dug down deep proudly donated what I could to Hillary Clinton's campaign. I feel so strongly that she is what this nation needs at this critical time in our history. I am so very afraid of where or how Obama will lead us. I have heard some of his "inspiring" speeches, but they did nothing for me except confirm that I was making the right decision in backing Hillary Clinton. Maybe it's because of my Catholic background.....I never could tollerate the southern preacher style delivery. I prefer a calmer tone, a less desperate tone......the tone of a strong leader. I will cast my vote on March 4th for Hillary Clinton and, God willing, she will be the next President of these United States.

Regarding Obama's little experience. Little experience at what? Chris Matthews states the Clintons can get going when the going gets tough. What hogwash. Read between the lines. What he meant to say (and many of us know this) the Clintons can do a good job of slicing and dicing you from head to toe when they find themselves in a corner or on the losing end. There is a big, big difference between someone who loves to win (Obama) and someone who hates to lose (Hillary). If Hillary won this nomination I guantee you Obama would be congenial and decent about it and congratulate her. Think Hilllary will do the same if Obama wins? Think about it.

Isn't it all about hearing what the electorate have to say? I would rather have the candidates look me straight in the eye and tell me the good and the bad so I can make the judgement for myself. Dad was not going to vote for him but after having the opportunity to talk and listen to him JFK changed his mind. Hillary states she will garnish the wages of those who will not purchase her health care plan. What will the premiums be that she is proposing that people will have to pay for health care. Hillary also fails to note in her proposal that many republicans who dislike her will not work with her to pass her plan. So on this issue here are two questions. One, how do people not working pay for health care under Hillary's plan
(they have no wages to be garnished). Does Hillary suggest we garnish their unemployment checks, food stamps, welfare checks, what? Second, how does she cover everyone under health care when we already know the republicans will not work with her or approve her universal plan. Ok, there you go, an issue.
