I recently changed my support from Hillary to Obama; even though, I had been blogging for her for several months.

Me and my family used to be the biggest fans of Bill Clinton. Everyone in my community can't stand to see Bill on TV anymore. I’m not sure if its his older age or maybe the lack of sleep lately, but I truly believe his lost his mind. They're supposed to remind people of Malcolm X who used them in the 60s and to connect them with Obama who mentioned them, separately, in different venues in South Carolina. This is the same game they played in NH with the "Iron My Shirt" man: he was a radio personality called up from Boston by Michael Whouley to engender sympathy for the Borg Queen.

The Clintons had their "lackies" attack Obama earlier in the campaign and Hillary launched an negative ad against Obama over "debates" when he agreed to an additional two earlier in the month (which he didn't need to do as the new frontrunner). You should never try to create some sort of stereotype by saying "Obama's people" like we are all one in the same. We are a very diverse coalition of people who want change, and don't want some old Washington insiders to tell us how it needs to be done.

Do I condone what Robert Holeman did? NO! But, I also don't agree with what Bill Clinton is doing either. If his goal was to totally divide the Democratic Party, then Bill and Hillary have succeeded. I only hope that we can come together in November with a shared vision so that McCain and his "100 year war" do not win.

Unfortunately, as a former New Yorker and Hillary supporter living in Chicago I encounter numerous un-provoked hostile and rude Obama fans quite frequently when I wear my Hillary button out. I always respond by simply saying I have respect for Obama and for his supporters right to back him, I just have made a different choice. I am typically called either a racist, an idiot, or much worse. The irony is that the standard argument they sneeringly bark at me is that he inspires in them a desire for positivity and unity.

Also, regarding each candidates health care plan...why hasn't someone simply stated...under the Clinton proposal of Universal Health Care for ALL...she means it will be MANDATORY...it will cover all...because she will MAKE you have it...whereas Obama is simply stating that he proposes Universal Health Care for ALL also...but he will not make it Mandatory...if you want it...you can get it...but if you choose not, then you don't have to take it...however, if you don't, then you will pay the consequences if something happens and you need it but chose not to take it...this is not rocket science folks!!!

I was at a dinner party Valentine's Day, and without exception all those democrats at that dinner expressed that even though they are "yellow-dog democrats" they will not vote for Obama. What is interesting is that MSNBC spun this story as if it were yet another example of Clinton ineptitude. Clinton has a habit of pointing his finger at someone so he may have inadvertently jabbed the guy's face. Remember: "I never had sex with that woman"? Well, Bill ponted his finger in America's face then too.
I voted for Hillary here in California but it looks as if Obama is going to run away with the nomination and I'll support him. Hillary's going down. There's several things I don't like about either of them and the main one is that neither will really end our involvement in Iraq and they're not being truthful about that. We'll be involved there for decades. Sure, combat troops may come home and those left behind will be called something else. When they get in trouble, Obama nor Clinton have refused to say whether they'll send combat troops back to suppport those left behind or pull everyone out. That bothers me and it should pop red flags for everyone who really wants this war over and done with.
Neither Obama or Hillary support gay marriage either. You don't tell a minority that you support their equal rights BUT ... Blacks and women wouldn't stand for it BUT when it comes to Gays and Lesbians, it's a different story.
Hillary should also release her tax returns. There's a bad smell when she refuses to do so.
Obama should come clean about his long-standing relationship with Rezko too. The press has given him a free ride about it and he lied when he said he only knew him for a short time.
Lastly, Bill should have shut his mouth and not upstaged his wife's campaign. It's too late now. The damage is done and I wouldn't be surprised if when this is over, there's a divorce looming.

If the Clintons are such great politicians, why weren't the country's problems solved during their eight years at the helm? They had their chance, they blew it, now get out of the way and let someone else try.

I was there and I remember this guy. I sincerely hope this individual is not representative of the rest of Obama's supporters. Furthermore, do you know what would happen if someone went to an Obama rally and started shouting 'Clinton!' after everything he said? I shudder to think. There is a right way, and there is a wrong way, to get your message across. And claiming that Bill Clinton "hit me in the face with his hand" is definitely the wrong way. I saw Holeman--a 61-year-old Clinton would not have 'hit' him. Surely we know the Secret Service would have seen to it that Holeman never got even remotely close enough to him for that.

Truly if this is a representative sample of Obama supporters I shudder to think what might happen if he wins the nomination and loses to McCain. Will there be rioting in the streets? Will it all be blamed on race? Or will people look to people like Holeman and realize that maybe--just maybe--if they conducted themselves with a little more professionalism and maturity they might have actually won.

As former President of the US, if someone stood up and gave a public speech saying that some other President or Presidency had been the Presidencey of ideas, I would have assumed that ideas = good and lack of ideas = bad. I assume that the "ideas" words is a compliment; most people do. To MNdem- I'm no great fan of John McCain (not nearly conservative enough for my taste) but he never said anything about a 100-year war. He was talking about US troops maybe staying in Iraq for decades, but most of that time would be peaceful.

You're not upset that we have troops in Japan, are you? They've been there for 63 years. How about South Korea, 55 years later? US troops, stationed in other nations AT THE INVITATION OF THOSE COUNTRIES, are a stabilizing influence in their regions. Do you really think North Korea would not have crossed into the South had we not had our forces there?

Now that Iraq is calming down (due to last year's troop surge) they now have the prerequisite conditions needed so that lasting political and social change can possibly be effected by their government. One guy? Obama people have been following the Clinton's around from city to city since this campaign started last year. If the Obama butt kissing media would do their jobs you would hear about it more often. The stories are on the Internet.

I have been to five speeches of both Clinton's and at three of them some nasty Obama people have showed up. At two of them they weren't that smart. They started heckling Clinton supporters who came to hear Hillary speak about her ideas for America outside the door. When they got to the door they were turned away. Thank god they were so dumb. It was nice to hear about ideas and plans for America. At the other one the hecklers got in and Hillary had barely started when from behind me several guys yelled, "Go home woman! You don't belong in the WH!" They yelled the same thing over and over and over again until security came over and escorted them outside. All six were wearing Obama t shirts reading "Obama the man." What a load. As the guys were being lead out Hillary remarked, "With so many great men in the country, how did I end up with those guys?" She laughed it off. Hillary was nicer than I would have been.

To have to hear remarks like that over and over and over again she has a steely resolve. I love her ideas and plans for America and she inspires me. What a strong and great president she will be. I can't wait to get rid of Bush.

The New York Times reported on February 3, 2008, that his campaigns have received at least $227,000.00 from Exelon Corporation, an Illinois Nuclear Power Company. Exelon is one of Obama's biggest contributors. David Axelrod was also a consultant to Exelon.

What did Exelon get in return for the huge sums of money?? - Nothing right because Obama is Mr. Change - WRONG - Obama voted for Dick Cheney's 2005 Energy Bill, which gave nuclear energy a $4.3 Billion dollar tax reduction. Clinton voted against it because it was widely viewed as a huge corporate give-away and it was drafted in secret by Cheney and energy companies like Enron.

Further, the New York Time's article focuses on the FACT that Obama's nuclear leak reporting legislation changed from mandatory to voluntary AFTER EXELON's input.

Obama' message of HOPE and CHANGE are HYPOCRACY. Without that message Obama would be considered just another light-weight, inexperienced candidate for POTUS.

We should be focusing on the behavior of the candidates. I've voted Democrat and Republican over the years because I judge the candidate's actions...not just their words.

I'm supporting Sen. Obama because he has been very consistent over the course of the campaign. Sen. Clinton and Sen. McCain, on the other hand, continually tailor their message to attract a particular group of voters...if this message doesn't work, we'll try saying that...I want a candidate who simply tells me what they believe, what their vision is, and where they want to take the country. I was at the rally in question and Mr. Holeman was rude, his behavior strange. He positioned himself in front of the media and talked on his cell phone, laughed, danced and heckled. There were times we couldn't hear the former President's speech because of Mr. Holeman shouting Obama over and over and answering back to the former President.

I came to see the former President and to make up my mind who I wanted to support. Mr Holeman was there for one reason, to create distraction and to get personal recognition. There was NO, repeat NO physical confrontation. Mr Holeman gestured and laughed throughout the entire speech and was being watched by the police. Several members of the crowd asked him to quiet down. When he pushed his way to the front of the gym, he was yelling AT Mr. Clinton and Mr. Clinton was gesturing back. Mr Holeman wasn't slapped. Mr Holeman blew this all out of proportion and for what reason? Face time in the media maybe?

I believe in freedom of speech. I believe in choice. But this crossed the line. It was bizarre.

When the stories are reported, the facts need to be told.

I attended this rally and can tell you that there was an Obama supporter continuously trying to insight an argument prior to Bill Clinton arriving, as we stood there for over an hour and a half awaiting the former president's arrival in the packed gym. It was a bit annoying at the most, and barely heard after Mr. Clinton began speaking due to the fact that Bill had a mic and the complainer did not. I was within a a couple of feet of the security rail, and watched him make his way around it shaking hands with people after the speech (including one of my children) and saw him hit or become angry with no one. Based on the tenacity of the Obama supporter I suspect he is merely trying to get a rise out of it for his candidate. Clinton gave an inspiring speech, was very engaging and even complimented Obama and other current and previous candidates of various party affiliation. Bill Clinton displayed the utmost respect for the people and political process while in Canton, and in my opinion this story is nothing more than an attempt to cloud the fact that this is a tight race between two very capable candidates.

I think all Democrats would agree that BushCo's policies - carefully vetting their audiences and keeping out all protesters during the 2004 campaign, restricting protesters to certain zones and arresting protesters, and having hecklers arrested (such as at the graduation speech Bush gave a few years ago) and asking people with t-shirts/hats critical of Bush to remove them (at the same graduation speech) - were wrong and often, clearly infringed on first amendment freedoms.

Are we Democrats going to criticize our own for expressing their displeasure with one of the Democratic presidential candidates? Whether or not you agreed with the heckler, you must admit he has a first amendment right to do this.

8) Co-Chair, with Clarence Thomas and Larry Craig, of blue-ribbon National Commission for the Rights of High-Minded but Misunderstood Public Servants.

9) Washington-based Rove-ing correspondent, Hustler magazine.

I am a black but my intuition tells me that it pays us more for a White person to champion the cause of the black and where are these blacks during the era of Bill when he was being referred to as the "Black President"? Human memory is very short! 1. Obama would be tagged "too soft on security"
2. Too naive and inexperienced - promising to meet with our enemies instead of engaging in diplomatical onslaughts
3. His voting against Tehran under the guise of not wanting George Bush to use it as another means of engaging Iran.
First of all, President Clinton did tell the nation that while he was briefing the new president on the extent of Al Qaeda, President bush was already thinking of how to attack Iraq. Now, when the President and the CIC comes boldly to tell the nation that a particular nation is incubating Al Qaeda, Senator Clinton was right to support him. Even after that, her vote to maintain a tough stance on Iran was well placed as it demonstrates that US would not tolerate any meddling with Iraq!
Now, coming to the real blow for the Obama folks: Obama actually came from a muslim background even though he has changed to Christianity! I'm not so sure that the Republicans would not exploit this to the maximum during the national debate should he clinch the nomination. Let him clear the rumor that his full names are NOT Barack HUSSEIN Obama!
All the folks that are swimming in a dreamland would have their works cut for them when Senator McCain wins Obama hands down in November and we would all be here when the democrats would be licking their wounds of just sustaining the Republicans in power for their lack of knowledge.

Hopefully, enough Democrats and Independents who are voting Democrat this year, will vote for Hillary in the next month and a half, to put her back in front. And I thought politicians were prohibited from taking money from anyone outside of the United States of America? What about the $10 million the Saudi monarchy donated to the Clinton Library and Foundation? What about Frank Giustra, the Canadian billionaire - $31 million to Clinton's foundation with a pledge of $100 million more. What about Bill Clinton's controversial pardons during his term as President - most were bought and paid for. Some commutations were even opposed by the FBI and the Clinton Justice Department - but yet Bill Clinton granted them to 16 FALN terrorists!!! And Hillary claimed to have had absolutely no knowledge or involvement in this matter. Do we believe her? Good grief this is ridiculous. As a strong Obama supporter who has volunteered, read about 2000 collective pages on policy and bio (not kidding, it's becoming too exhausting to stay up on the issues in this election), and watched a ton of pundits, debates and roundtable discussions, I am disgusted by this heckler and strongly disagree with the tactic of heckling, name-calling or many of the other "low-road" tactic that I have read employed on these boards by Clinton and, yes, Obama supporters alike. If this person is an Obama supporter and not a prop, there are millions of supporters who would rebuke such behavior were we to encounter someone like him. The problem is, who is that Obama supporter that is willing to stand in lines for hours to file into a stadium where you will listen to tacit and not so tacit critiques of your candidate, be surrounded by people who will disagree with anything you say, and where you will waste a few hours where you could have, say, made phone calls or canvass for your candidate with much more productive results. Why on earth would an Obama supporter do this? I don't think he would, unless he was mentally ill. In either scenario-- a plant, or a crazy man-- this man was in no way "typical" of an Obama supporter. Quite the opposite.

If you really want serious change, we need to all grow-up. If you disagree with someone, stop trying to shout them down; listen and the present your argument. And before calling someone a racist simply because they disagree with you, look into your own soul and see if there aren't a few prejudices harbored there.

No doubt, we have some major attitude problems in Washington. The winner-take-all, my-way-or-no-way, you-can't-win-on-this issue-because-my-party-won't-get-the-credit partisan battles are destructive to our country. There are some real threats to our nation and people, from inside and out. Our leaders are going to have to make some tough choices, and we as citizens should lend our voices during the debate, but once decisions are made, we need to press forward and collectively bear the consequences. It's an inherent quality of our imperfect (but human) system of government. PROS: Barack Obama is charasmatic and is a good speaker.

CONS: Does not take firm stances on issues and has one of the worst voting records. He pretends to be anti-war, anti-lobbyist and anti-corruption but his record shows otherwise. He said he could invade Pakistan.

He has not shown strong leadership in the US Senate and the Senate committee he was a part of. Obama's involvement has not been that impressive. Obama has not convened a policy-related hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Subcommittee on Europe that he is on and Europe does not figure into Obama's travel profile. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/steve-clem... "Obama who?" will not be taken seriously by foreign leaders due his lack of foreign experience and has not had the chance to build relationships with many world leaders or countries. And if he comes in there preaching - they'll look at him and go "who the heck do you think you are?"

He claims to be an outsider as a positive but outsider's can't unite. No one listens to someone all of a sudden. You need to have built solid foundations with other senators and leaders in order to get things done.

He has less experience in drafting policy and has not been through enough failures and successes to really know what will and won't work. He also has no clue of what it takes to be president and how to actually implement change.

Overall, he is naive and does not know the issues as well as a potential president should. Nor is he ready to be President. He focusses on using buzz words and giving generic inspirational speeches. He has insultingly carried himself like MLK, an American hero, yet Obama has no leg to stand on - he has never been opressed and he has not done anything for the people.

His supporters claim his lack of experience is a good thing. But that is illogical. Experience doesn't mean you're old and won't change. Experience means you know what works and what doesn't and you have learned the best ways to effectively institute change. Not someone wildly saying "change change change". Saying it doesn't make it so.

-Promises to protect New Orleans from another Cat. 5 hurricane and that it should be up to the government to do this<------wtf?
-Don't forget he voted for the patriot act.

He would also ignore the hundreds of thousands of US Soldiers based all around the world, at the cost of hundreds of billions of US Dollars every year. Everyone seems to forget about those soldiers. 70,000 of whom are in Germany, one of the most militarily advanced countries in the world.
-Obama will give Amnesty to 30 million illegal aliens. He doesn't sound like he knows what hes getting himself into.

-How can he fund the war but be opposed to it? That war doesn't need any more damn funding with America being 9.1 trillion dollars in debt. Let's get real here.

I love it when liberals fight. It reminds me of twin boys I went to high school with. They were small for their age and emotionally underdeveloped. You couldn't tell them apart and they were virtually the same in every way. Every so often they would get into a crying, screaming fight complete with slapping and hair pulling. At the end of the fight they would cry uncontrollably and a few minutes later would go back to whatever they were doing before their spat.

That's what I picture when I hear of incidents like this. What the fervent Obama supporter doesn't understand that Bill surely did is that Hillary and Obama will do virtually the same thing if either one gets elected. They are both ultra-liberal in every way. I guess the real issue is over who is less corrupt and which person can get crowds riled up. Since Obama's record of corruption is considerably shorter than Hillary's and he is good at using Deval Patrick's words with an MLK-like delivery he will probably win the minds of enough morons to square off against John McCain.

In the meantime, aren't my taxes paying them to be senators? I guess congress can handle steroid hearings without them for a little while longer.
