For unity's shake, one of the candidates needs to step down. Whoever is ahead either now or after March 4 should be given the opportunity to build strength in preparation for the Democratic Party's Nov. win. This election cycle should not be aboutpersonal ambitions but who can persuade voters to support her/him.
Voters yesterday rejected the annoying claim of plagiarism by the Clintons. In short, they rejected the "attack dog" politics and they spoke up for change.
Hillary continues to focus on her phony 35 years of experience (let me be honest: as I noted earlier, Obama has more experience than her in terms of the length of electve office held, and his experience closely resembles Franklin Roosevelt, who undertook one of the most difficult economic policy decision in addition to leading America's battle during World War II, in trms of te length of public office held). If we continue to insist that Hillary will be ready "on day one", we must remind ourselves how she managed her campaign and the tactics she used.
Our continued insistence that Hillary is better than Obama may only reflect our ignorance, our refusal to open our eyes to reality, or the bigotry of some American voters.

Obama's organization skill and the campaign that he put together despite great odds given the early "coronation" of inevitability of Clinton leads me to believe that he has her beaten on experience time and again. Give *me* a break. I don't drink lattes, I drive an 11-year-old beat up Civic, wear boring old shoes, and definitely don't have a trust fund. I did go to hear Obama speak, and was so happy to be part of a truly diverse crowd that represented all kinds of demographics.

Can you imagine if Obama's introducer spewed some rant about Hillary Clinton's lower-income, lesser educated supporters? He'd be in all kinds of trouble over that.

I'm sick of being stereotyped as a wild-eyed cult member, or anti-feminist, or whatever label of the day the Clintons throw out, just because I think Obama would be a better President. It's ridiculous, and insulting.

I'll vote for whoever the Democratic nominee is, but this over-the-top bashing is really grating, and lessens any chance that I'd volunteer for a Clinton campaign, or donate to her cause.

I beg to differ about the allegations that all Obama supporters at rallies are birkenstock wearing latte drinkers. I make less than 20,000 a year. I don't have a college education. I am not a hippie. And I saw a LOT of older blue collar people at the rally in MADISON, WI where you'd think we'd have mostly far left liberals. Trying to downplay Obama's support by calling his supporters "too educated" and "too rich" is ridiculous. So is attacking him on his ability to properly use the English language to put his points across. "Oh, you filthy big-word user, you." Ha! Might as well laugh at him for reading books!

This kind of attack-dog mentality is going to blow up in the Clinton's face. Just because Barack Obama has not lowered himself to Hillary's level does not mean he can't stand up to Republican attack. There is one thing that is more effective than a tough fighter...and that's a SMART fighter. Barack is the most intelligent person in this race.

I have seen more scathing commentary about Hillary Clinton in this blog than in that speech about Obama.
The fact is that Obama is a good speaker which you could akin to thespian. I am not defending this speech but I am defending free speech. I have constantly been exposed to "trash talk" about Hillary, most of it personally slanderous having nothing to do with her policy or ability. Questions about her "crying" or "ability to control her husband" are not challenges that Obama has had to face. His supporter are even trying to give his wife a free ride. " for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country" and an inability to to commit to supporting the democratic nominee who ever it might be are divisive. I am not happy about a lot of things going on in our country today. Fiscal irresponsibilty both personal and in government. Erosion of personal liberties, rising healthcare, etc. But I still feel proud of my country.

Well, hello everyone! I've just sat and read all the comments from those who are also in serious danger of being called mudslinger, and who have made a habit of jumping to conclusions about Hillary Clinton, and her alleged "machine."
To address Tom Buffenbarger, president of the machinists' union, and his commentary, I will say this in his defense. He can say whatever he likes. Perhaps people are feeling hurt because his frustration was vented in a politically incorrect way, stereotyping members of the general public. Regardless, he can say what he likes. And, by the way, the reason he sounds venomous is because *HE* is being venomous—not Hillary Clinton. He can speak for himself. I’m willing to bet that the frustration he is venting at the Obama juggernaut is not a singular frustration. I’m also willing to bet that it’s not unshared, in part because the media has had a disproportionate level of criticisms levied against Clinton, while being fairly velvet gloved in their handling of Obama.
It’s no surprise that I am a supporter of Hillary Clinton, and also no surprise that I will continue to be after Obama “wins.” She is the best choice, in my opinion, which is no less valid than any other opinion of the plentiful Obama supporters blogging on this site. Obama is defensive when asked to account for his promises to the public on issues of policy, and has already taken the air of entitlement that all big men politicians have before they run for the general election. To me, he’s not the “black candidate,” or the “candidate of change” media coverage stresses. He’s just another man in a suit. Clinton has a credible track record and a personal philosophy that is laudable and focused on the greater good for all citizens, and in no small way for women citizens (after all, 50% of the population is NOT a minority. We have a strong and clear need for acknowledgement).
As far as the claim that this divide in supporters will be bad for the party, and that Clinton, like a Democratic-Yoko-Ono, will be to blame for “breaking up the band” is ridiculous. We are, above and beyond party line, Americans. We can vote for whomever we choose. It’s not about any grand ol’ party. It’s about how we treat each other—including how Obama supporters treat Clinton.
