I am also very sad about the police officer's death. Running a motorcade is a very dangerous job. You have to keep moving and never slow or stop for security reasons. Traffic has to be stopped and blocked from cross streets ahead on a rolling basic. The motorcylist is watching for more than just the road ahead which makes it harder to avoid any road hazards. The public is also in danger. Cars could pull out. Pedestrians could walk into the path at any moment. A motorcade is dangerous but necessary to protect our candidates and officials. I thank and honor those who do their job and take that risk for the sake of the functioning of our Democracy.

That said, and please forgive me for injecting this but I think it is important for perspective, I was apalled to learn that Dick Cheney has on many occasions risked lives and used a secret service and police motorcade to get his dog to the vet.

I am an Obama supporter and I believe Hillary is authentic at her core. She's a life time politician whose exterior has been hardened by the battles she's had to fight in a male dominated arena. Her heart is good and true and that is why we see flashes of it on occasion. This was just not her time and that makes me sad for her. Hillary will continue to do good works and there will something better for her. And, no matter what happens, I'm glad Hillary will be on the Democratic side!

My prayers are with the family of the officer, and also with Hillary. The post by Hillary supporter is not really a Hillary supporter, but some one who is trying to make all of us voters of Hillary look bad. I'm sorry to say some people may believe this post from "Hillary supporter"(the first post he put on), but I'm here to tell you that the real Hillary supporters are good people and they don't espouse such hateful rhetoric. Honestly, after reading these posts, I wonder what happened to compassion, empathy and humanity! I hope this isn't representative of the state of our country. Never mind the blasted political parties or the candidates! This is about being human. A person has just died. An officer has died in the line of duty. I agree with James. I, too, am an Obama supporter. That does not mean I have to bash Sen. Clinton. To the contrary. Of course she made her comments in front of the cameras, folks. She was in a public setting. Realistically, how could she have done differently. Let's all follow Sen. Obama's example and not demonize one another, whether or not we disagree.
