It's just one trauma heaped upon another. I can understand her making a statement about that, and sending her condolences to all touched by this. But what I don't understand, and the Clinton's always do this, is why she had to appear in front of the cameras to do this. It made it appear that she was grandstanding and using this terrible tragedy to get some kind of publicity and political points from it. Whether this was planned or not, the Clintons set themselves up for criticisms by things like this, it's suspicious. A sincere written statement would have been more than enough.

Clinton devastated after police death

Sean, Voorhees, NJ said

She can show some compassion by canceling the rally she was on her way to and offer to help the officer's family out.

She DID cancel the rally she was on her way to and she's currently at the hospital with the family of the officer that died right now, dumb ass.

If I were you I would start looking over my shoulder, you just might have people heading your way to give you a well deserved ass kicking.

LINDA, MISSOURI said

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS ... Running a motorcade is a very dangerous job. You have to keep moving and never slow or stop for security reasons. Traffic has to be stopped and blocked from cross streets ahead on a rolling basic. The motorcylist is watching for more than just the road ahead which makes it harder to avoid any road hazards. The public is also in danger. Cars could pull out. Pedestrians could walk into the path at any moment. A motorcade is dangerous but necessary to protect our candidates and officials. I thank and honor those who do their job and take that risk for the sake of the functioning of our Democracy.

That said, and please forgive me for injecting this but I think it is important for perspective, I was apalled to learn that Dick Cheney has on many occasions risked lives and used a secret service and police motorcade to get his dog to the vet.

Clinton devastated after police death

J Merle, you can't possibly be as ignorant as your posts suggests.

I am an Obama supporter and I believe Hillary is authentic at her core. She's a life time politician whose exterior has been hardened by the battles she's had to fight in a male dominated arena. Her heart is good and true and that is why we see flashes of it on occasion. This was just not her time and that makes me sad for her. Hillary will continue to do good works and there will something better for her. And, no matter what happens, I'm glad Hillary will be on the Democratic side!

Clinton devastated after police death

My prayers are with the family of the officer, and also with Hillary. The post by Hillary supporter is not really a Hillary supporter, but some one who is trying to make all of us voters of Hillary look bad. I'm sorry to say some people may believe this post from "Hillary supporter"(the first post he put on), but I'm here to tell you that the real Hillary supporters are good people and they don't espouse such hateful rhetoric. Hillary did the right thing by expressing her condolences to the family. Hillary, you make me proud, and I will be even prouder when you become our President.

GO HILLARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Clinton devastated after police death

I want McCain to win.
nuanced (Sent Friday, February 22, 2008 4:47 PM)

That wasn't me.

Clinton devastated after police death

J.
