If you can't even get your primary (no less) presidential campaign together how do you expect to run a country? Talking about how Senator Obama is not ready, Obviously so far he's ready enough to go against the CLINTON MACHINE….

With all the good that comes from Senator Clinton experience also come a lot of bad ones. That 35 years of experience also give us the war in Iraq, No Child Left Behind, Bankruptcy Law, NAFTA, not to mention secrecy conduct that would rival President Bush. You would've known what you know now Senator Clinton if you bothered to read the NIE report, obviously those 35 years experience didn't lead you to that judgment. I don't know what kind of your own research that you did, what kind of advice that you got, those 35 years of experiences still DIDN'T LEAD YOU TO THE CORRECT ANSWER.

AND LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS HEALTHCARE STUFF, with all HER EXPERIENCES, I watched when she came out with her healthcare plans after John Edwards & Barack Obama came out with theirs almost a year ago, HER PLANS were basically IDENTICAL WITH JOHN EDWARDS'. So, now she has the nerve to say Barack Obama plagiarized Deval Patrick, WELL SENATOR CLINTON PLAGIARIZED JOHN EDWARDS' HEALTHCARE PLAN. This is from somebody who says she’s in the solution business? She just copied his plan and changed his name to hers. WTG Clinton, no wonder you’re the loudest crying plagiarism, YOU KNOW IT SO WELL.

I mean is this the person who supposed to be the inevitable candidate? The person who has been collecting money from donors for more than 2 decades now, and THIS IS THE BEST CAMPAIGN & MESSAGE she can deliver FROM THOSE 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE?

I'M INEVITABLE, I'M EXPERIENCE, I'M READY ON DAY ONE,I'M SO READY I HAD TO COPY MY HEALTHCARE PLAN FROM JOHN EDWARDS, I'M SO READY I HAVE TO MAKE SURE QUESTIONS GIVEN TO ME BY THE PEOLE ARE PLANTED AND THOSE THAT AREN'T HAVE TO BE PRE SCREENED, I'M SO READY I HAVE TO KILL ANY ARTICLE FROM BEING PUBLISHED IN CASE IT SAYS SOMETHING BAD ABOUT ME, I'M SO READY THAT I DIDN'T THINK I NEED TO MAKE MY CASE TO PEOPLE IN SMALL STATES LIKE WASHINGTON, NEBRASKA, DELAWARE OR VIRGINIA, I'M SO READY THAT CAUCUSES AREN'T IMPORTANT SO I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY, I'M SO READY THAT EVEN IF I LOOSE 11 ELECTIONS IN A ROW IT'S STILL VIABLE TO SAY THAT I'M THE MOST EXPERIENCED AND READY ON DAY ONE AS COMMANDER IN CHIEF.

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!
Obama woos young Latinos

Interesting perspective from the young voters

Obama woos young Latinos

A cousin of mine in S. And I understand his arguement that you can have all of the policy ideas in this world like Hillary claims to have, but without the working majority and inspiring the American people to get involved, nothing will be accomplished. Or does anyone think the past Presidents did not try on issues like Health care? Offcourse they did, but they failded because of irresponsible partisanship which is what Obama is really tryin to avoid.

Obama woos young Latinos

Some folks just need to get back to making their homemade nooses and quit trying to stop and hang the inevitable. It has been and will have a ripple effect on social and economic wellbeing. Think about more than 2 trillion dollars or even more we will be spending by the time we get out of Iraq. And I was a John Edwards supporter she did take his health care Obama did, Edwards plan and Clintons plan are similar yet they different. Check Your Facts
Obama also has part of if not all of Joe Biden's ideas on withdrawing from Iraq.
And Obama also took a good part of Clinton's economic plan.
Really you should also take a good look at the companies that are backing Obama. They want to raise interest rate to a least 30% (Last debate with Edwards which he was stunned that Obama would have voted for that). I could go on but, with Obama supporters they just don't care the fact is you just either dislike Clinton or you dislike women
Obama woos young Latinos

http://survey.univision.com/ViewsFlash/servlet/viewsflash

Hopefuli my dumb self can link this correctly.

Univision poll about latinos.

Sorry to tell you it doesn't look to good for Obama.

Obama woos young Latinos

Young Americans , I am excited that you are taking interest in this election, but please, think , research, then vote with a clean heart, not a regret that you’ve hurt your country. Young Americans are not aware of a lot of thing that took place prior to their births . They need to set back and research the facts prior to voting. If Americans are in a recession and many out of work, then where is all this money that Obama camp is raising coming from? Are all his voters well to do, not according to people I meant at one of his rally’s today . I was told that he has money coming into Muslim Americans accounts and then shifted to his campaign. That could explain how is able to raise millions of dollars during a recession. Does America want a to elect a President or a motivational speaker, a speaker that may be out to hurt our way of life. That could also explain why his wife may that statement, they are not for American they are out for the BIG HOUSE> Think Then CAST YOUR VOTE FOR AMERICA
P.S. It was Obama whom said that Latino’s are taking African Americans jobs, like just before he realized he needed Latino’s. The night was kicked off with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem by Cumberland Mayor Dan Mckee's daughter Kara and his niece Kate.

Attorney General Patrick Lynch, an ardent Obama supporter and superdelegate introduced Michelle's brother and Brown University Head basketball coach, Craig Robinson.

Michelle took the podium and electrified the crowd. Her powerful and inspiring words left many in awe. She spoke of the difficulties regular folks face in today's world. The larger and more important question we should ask ourselves is this - " Do we want another 4 years of Bush mentality?" I am not so much concerned about Hillary's vote for Iraq. The mind boggling thing is though she refuses to admit that her vote was a "mistake," whatever her reasons may be - political or personal. Bush even in the face of reality to this day refuses to admit the war in Iraq is a mistake. In our President, I want to see a leader not only of sound judgment and vision, but also of character and of willingness that when a mistake is made, he is willing to listen to reason & other views to correct the mistake. The President of the USA has the most influence not only on our lives in the States, but also on every individual on earth. If we choose a wise President, the people will be the most benifited. If not, all the people of this nation and other nations will suffer as a natural consequence. Thousands of our soldiers lost for ever and tens of thousands of civilian lives lost in Iraq never to return.

Obama woos young Latinos

Latinos aren't taking jobs from AA, no because the AA are too lazy to work those jobs, that is why the mexicans can get the jobs they do.
Juan, SD (Sent Friday, February 22, 2008 3:21 PM)

*************************

OH Juan you better watch out the mob is going to be after you.

I can't vote for Obama (Sent Friday, February 22, 2008 3:05 PM)
______________________

Actually YOU should check your facts:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/31/dem.debate.transcript/

OBAMA: Well, let me first of all say that I have worked on the streets of Chicago as an organizer with people who have been laid off from steel plants, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, and, you know, all of them are feeling economically insecure right now, and they have been for many years. Before the latest round of immigrants showed up, you had huge unemployment rates among African-American youth.

And, so, I think to suggest somehow that the problem that we're seeing in inner-city unemployment, for example, is attributable to immigrants, I think, is a case of scapegoating that I do not believe in, I do not subscribe to.

CLINTON: Well, let me start with the original question from Kim, because I think it deserves an answer.

I believe that in many parts of our country, because of employers who exploit undocumented workers and drive down wages, there are job losses. And I think we should be honest about that.

There are people who have been pushed out of jobs and factories and meat processing plants, and all kinds of settings. And I meet them.

You know, I was in Atlanta last night, and an African-American man said to me, "I used to have a lot of construction jobs, and now it just seems like the only people who get them anymore are people who are here without documentation." So, I know that what we have to do is to bring our country together to have a comprehensive immigration reform solution.
_________

http://credit-cards.interest.com/qanda/legal_maximum_credit_card_rate_qa.html

Federal law sets no nationwide limit on how much credit cards can charge.

While many states have usury laws that regulate the rates on all types of loans, they only apply to banks based in that state and don't protect consumers who borrow from out-of-state lenders.

That's why most major credit card companies are incorporated in Delaware or North Dakota because they have no usury laws and therefore impose no limits on how much they can charge customers across the country.

___

Credit Card companies *currently* have NO LIMIT on what they can charge in many places. Obama said 30% was TOO HIGH, and wanted a lower rate in the area of 22% maximum.

Obama woos young Latinos

Aren't they a nice and presdential couple to be the next president and first lady of the entire states?

Obama woos young Latinos

I love what Obama stands for but the biggest appeal is hope. when i look at him on T.V and see the muti-colors of people behind him that gives me, as a black man, hope. That one day I truely will be judge on my works and not my apparence. hope when I lay down at night and feel that all odds are aganist me that it can and has been done. And most of all the day that I have a son and he comes to me and tell me "daddy I want to be presedent" and I tell him, he can be the presedent or anything in this world I know with all my heart that's not a lie. that to me means more than an sweat little politic store you can tell me and that whats worth voting for.

Obama woos young Latinos

Has Michelle been to speech? Obama never said such a thing. It was Hillary who said that an African American told her that Latinos were taking jobs due to low wages. Obama intervened and said that she should not scapegoat Latinos and instead the Employers who take advantage of undocumented Latinos should be blamed. Hilary again responded that we must face facts and that this is really happening. That debate was in Los Angeles. We understand that we need to read up on the past. We understand that we have to take that into consideration. We also understand that the past is the reason we are here right now. As far as "reading up" is concerned we, as a generation, have more at our fingertips than any generation has ever had. And, believe it or not, we do use this information revolution to our advantage.

Please understand that I get that the two candidates policies are very similar. I also have looked at their voting record and campaign budgets quite exstensively. What I, and probably most of my age group, have come to is that Obama offers a different path to what is essentially the same goal. I am not saying it is the best path, what I am saying is that it is one that has not been traveled yet. I have looked at past candidates, I understand what has been done in the past, and I look at Clinton and see no difference. I am tired of partisan issues. I am tired of red tape. I am tired of favors that overrule constituency loyalty. I am looking for a new route. If it doesn't work, fine. Let's find a different route. But to walk down the same road that has already not worked seems silly.

I may be young but I know that if doesn't work find a better way.

Obama woos young Latinos

Chuck ,Keith and Christ -should look at CNN That is call balance reporting not campaining for obama .Let the people decide.Christ can no longer make a good coment on Hillary ,last night at 11pm ET ,he literally restraint himself from making an analysis on Hillary.(he got the tingles in his foot ).Chuck should go .

Obama woos young Latinos

MEDS! Both Hillary and Bill have promoted diversity…real diversity and they have delivered.

Hillary is not a stranger to the Hispanic community. Her long-term fight for healthcare for children and for universal healthcare resonates with Hispanic communities. She has consistently promoted the interests of Hispanic communities. And she certainly is not a stranger to areas like south Texas.

Obama has no track record with Hispanics at the federal level and a very limited record in Illinois.
Everyone accuses Hillary Clinton and her husband of being divisive. Well, isn't that exactly what Michelle Obama is when she says she will not vote for anyone BUT her husband! What arrogance and hubris!!

Everyone criticizes Hillary because they feel Bill will influence how she will run the country. Well at least he has experience - and things were better while he was in power than they have been at anytime during the last 7!! If Obama wins, it appears clear that Michelle will want to have her say as to how the White House will be run. Well, two people with no experience do not equal one with experience.

America is so desparate for a saviour that they have created one in Obama - like he is the second coming of Christ ready to save the world!! Obama pointed out that African-Americans had high unemployment rates long “before the latest round of immigrants showed up.” There were, he said, “a whole host of reasons why we have not been generating the kinds of jobs that we are generating.” And he cautioned against using the immigration issue to divide Americans. Obama talked about his plan to secure the border and provide the undocumented with a path to legalization provided they meet certain conditions.

Hillary was pandering to try to repair Bill's damage done in South Carolina while Obama (as usual) went for the truth.

Patty, aren't you the little devil, trying to stir up trouble with misinformation. Contrary to what you would like people to believe, Obama is truly the man for all seasons.
Obama '08

Obama woos young Latinos

I chose a charming tight black Dior with epaulets on the puffy sleeves... wait till you see my shoes!
Will I be wearing underwear? That is the question.

Mark Thieme (news junkie) (Sent Friday, February 22, 2008 3:31 PM)

Yeah, but does that come with tights and a cape? Thanks Mark, for the first laugh I've had all day!

Obama woos young Latinos

Stay informed.

http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id=2938016&page=1

Obama woos young Latinos

Thank you Obama followers.

Please stick together. You will need each other support come when you are crying foul.

There is no way Obama wins and that is a promise you can believe in. It has been a hard choice for me. Do I go for the one candidate who has a proven record or do I go for the one with the fresh ideas. I respect both candidates and I know both of them would make a much better president that George bush, However by looking at the way things are and the bad shape in which our economy, international relations and the social lack of equality I think that Experience plays a very important role on my decision. I admire Mr. Obama and respect his candor and his desire. I think he is the type of politician we love to hear from, He speaks from his heart and passionately about issues that he fully is dedicated to. Sadly I think his decision to run for president is a rushed one. I wish he would have stayed in the senate a bit longer deal with the Washington political machine and gain the experience he need to have to be a commander that demands respect and offers solutions from day one. Hillary has the experience and the desire. I have made my decision to support senator Clinton based on what this country really needs. I am sad to turn my back on the one candidate I like the most but I will not elect one candidate based on his candor and his desire Just like any other job we need someone who can do the job and requires very little training. In my eyes Obama represents that great student just coming out of a wonderful school and who has the potential to be a magnificent employee. unfortunately he is running at a time where our issues are serious, the irresponsibility of this president has costs us Americans a lot and we are facing a dark, dark future ahead. I am positive that Mr.Obama will one day be our president and my support will be his at this time and based on the terrible situation we are facing I support the candidate that offers solutions and will be ready to respond to this crisis. I am just giving my opinion , no interest to offend anyone. I just simply wanted to offer my opinion hoping that somehow it will give others the opportunity to decide not on what is better for his candidate but what is better for our country.
Obama woos young Latinos

Best Line To Describe Obama:

All Hat and No Cattle!

Obama woos young Latinos

Nicholas: Which brings to mind the Will Rogers quote (which Chris Matthews continually attributes to Mark Twain - no Mark Thieme): to paraphrase, "I don't belong to an organized political party; I am a Democrat."

BTW, Nick, great comment! We are the party of the unassimilated masses.
Obama '08

Obama woos young Latinos

Carlos Monge that is a wonderful post.

Obama woos young Latinos

Best line to describe hillary CLINTON.

Been there, done that!

Obama woos young Latinos

no Patty he said, when asked the question about the idea that blacks think that latinos are taking blacks job that " ..we should not scapegoat the loss of jopbs on Latinos..." he said this during his debate with Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles

Obama woos young Latinos

isn't he the one that said latinos are taking African-American jobs? -Patty, sd, ca

No Patty that would have been Sen. Hilary Clinton is a great politician, but she has a fatal flaw with voters like myself. She can't give me a vision of America that inspires me, and makes me feel empowered to vote for a candidate that speaks to what American can and should be. That's what she and her supporters can't understand, he makes people feel empowered by voting for him. It seems to me Clinton supporters trying to garner votes as some kind of anti-Obama vote. An Anti-Bush message is what the democratic party tried in 2004, and we got smoked, because Kerry couldn't inspire people to come out and vote him. Clinton is having the same problem, and that is why she will not be president.

Obama woos young Latinos

Carlos Monge (Sent Friday, February 22, 2008 4:54 PM)
"As an undecided Hispanic voter..."

Carlos, your post demonstrates a far more educated opinion than many of the others who have posted in his thread so far. Politics is a touch game. All those people whom she burned or snubbed smell blood and are going in for the kill. It's cold but true, and noone should feel sorry for her. How many people has she burned or thrown under the bus on her rise to power. Boyce Jr. issued a statement saying: “Without a unit designation or time frame of deployment, it’s difficult for us to verify the validity of what was told to the senator. Our soldiers deploy as complete units — either as companies, battalions or brigades, and they do so with every soldier armed with his or her individual weapon. … Army units and individual replacements arrive in country fully capable to conduct combat operations.”

Obama woos young Latinos

Patty (from San Diego) - your perpetual ignorance continues to amaze me. I've seen your postings surface time and time again and I wonder if you realize that as you claim to be a Clinton supporter you do her a terrible disservice with your remedial, poorly composed postings...along with your unwarranted and outrageously inappropriate racist remarks. This is not what the fading Hillary campaign needs and I am certain it is not the type of support she is seeking. You are offensive and rude. Your divisive undertone is a perfect example of what people want to see change in this country. When Obama wins the nomination, kindly pause for some introspection and realize that such behavior is what caused your candidate to lose.

Go Obama!

Obama woos young Latinos

This is sad, we have a Rep. candidate who touts his ethics & whose campaign consists of a lot of lobbyists and a Dem. candidate whose campaign is backed the most of all candidates by the lobbyists and the special interests groups.

This is precisely why we need a fundamental change in Washington.

Go Obama!

**************************************

you are making me very sleepy.

Obama woos young Latinos

Please read these articles (couple of them were obviously written by Clinton supporters, one from a news pundit):

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23276453/
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8630.html
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0208/8630.html

After all, Obama is more of the same.

One interesting thing I've learned today from my friend: She didn't like Obama and still doesn't, but she would vote for him if she were given another chance. One of the reasons: if Obama gets to be the president, it would pave the way for other people of color to run for president in the future (so it would be easier for people to accept it). She was just convinced by her friend and said enough of white presidents, time to change the color to lift the spirit of minorities. Her years of experience didn't help her then, and they certainly won't help us now!

Obama woos young Latinos

When I said "but I have too many reasons to vote for Hillary at this point." I meant " have to many reasons to vote for Hillary"

I really would like to have her as our president.

Obama woos young Latinos

Welcome back, David Shuster!

Obama woos young Latinos

Leigh,

Although I'm sure none of the many intelligent posters on this thread are taking you seriously, I would just like to alert you to the facts behind Senator Obama's tremendous fundraising success. A cursory look at the Senator's website or any number of news stories will show you that the Obama campaign is closing in on a total of one million individual donors. Almost all of these donors are giving in the $25 to $100 range, which means that we (yes, I'm one!) can keep giving on a regular basis, because we are nowhere near the $2300 maximum. Unlike Senator Clinton's campaign, which targeted a smaller number of big money givers, Senator Obama has worked hard to build an enormous and nationwide organization of small givers who can give again and again. There is no need to construct entertaining but clearly false conspiracy theories to explain the facts: Obama inspires so many people that his ability to fundraise is something heretofore unimagined. :)

Obama woos young Latinos

Young Latinos aren't be the only ones intrigued by Obama:

http://acropolisreview.com/2008/02/endorsements-of-barack-obama.html

Obama woos young Latinos

Obama is wooing........ while admitting to inaction in his senate responsibilities.

Incase you missed it (and it's all on tape )....................
During the Feb 19th debates in Ohio Senator Obama who also serves as Chair of the subcommittee that has oversight over NATO admitted he has not held one single substantive hearing to figure out what the U.S can do to have a stronger presence with Nato in Afghanistan.

Obama admitted it was true stating it was because his responsibilities as chair started at the same time he began running for President.

So while hundreds of thousands of our young men and women are at great risk and being killed in Afghanistan he's too busy running for president to hold a single hearing- UNBELIEVABLE.

Even more unbelievable were the comments that followed the debate reflecting mostly on how cool, calm, collected and presidential he "LOOKED."

Obama’s admission should be a huge wake up call for Obama and the rest of the country that he is not only not ready to be president - he's not ready to be a senator either.

The day after Senator Carl Levin (D-MI), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee noted that Senator Clinton has introduced more legislation to address the problems facing wounded service members than any other Senator, including The Dignified Treatment of Wounded Warriors Act (accomplished while running her presidential race).
