This seems to be a new era of politics in all parties and fashoins. No longer are the established getting the love of their candidates and vice-versa.

This speech just goes to show that more candidates are not "silver spoon" types but, oh my God dare I say the political catch phrase this year, "meat and potatoes" candidates.

Thank goodness one candidate knows about working for a living. He's not sharing (er, escaping) accountability with 534 colleagues.

Why is there no Republican debate scheduled? There are far more policy differences among the remaining Republican candidates than between the Democrats. And I think we all need to see each of their speaking and debating skill before they have to face Clinton or Obama head-to-head in the fall.

Gotta give Huck credit... he's got quite the wit. It's something of a shame that the public won't talk more about his record in Arkansas and less about his time as a pastor. I hope that his political career in the national spotlight isn't over, because whether you agree with the guy or not, I find Mike Huckabee a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stodgy and stifling Republican party.

I think your headlines was intended to ridicule Huckabee's campaign.

But let me remind your readers that it highlights that 3 of the 4 remainding candidates are SITTING senators who are absent from Capitol Hill and still are taking tax payer's money.

In US history, only 2 SITTING senators had ever been elected President although many ran. And the sad history is that both of them died in office - one because of heart attack (Rep) and the other was shot dead(Dem).

Do not repeat history by creating another "white house widow".

Leave those "Sitting but absent" senators in Capital Hill if you like.

Huckabee - the only candidate that actually has to work for a living. Taxpayers are paying the three senators to campaign full-time. Huckabee has to go out and give a paid speech to pay the mortgage on the house. He doesn't get paid by the campaign, so how are you critics proposing he should he pay the bills? Maybe he should run for the Senate quick so he can go on the dole with the other candidates. Then he wouldn't have to (gasp) go earn a living. Violation of FEC rules? The ignorance on this blog is staggering.

I also find Huckabee to be a breath of fresh air and quite brilliant compared to any of the others.All they do is so same oh same oh,and i am glad that he is not a quiter. I wouldn't be happy if i didn't have more than one candidate to choose from. I really can't believe this country iss voteing for a person with the name barrack husain oboma[not sure how he spells his name sorry if i blew it}.cant vote for the name clinton either.I reallythink they have there nerve to put our country thur them again.pleassssse spare us this imbarrisment again and be a quiter hillary.Cant you tell allready that we really dont want to go thru that pit again. I think Mike Huckabee is a wonderful candidate and person. He stands for whats right and idk it should matter at all if he wants to talk about his religious beliefs or his paid speeches. He's levelheaded and non-arrogant and I like that. If the Democrats paid half as much attention to details instead of petty bickering, it'd be actually somewhat less of a nightmare for how I feel about them. Nevertheless, I am convinced huckabee won't win. I know he won't; oh well.
He's still a hard-to-earth, intellegent guy!

We NEED to have a debate between Huckabee and McCain. This race is far from ended. Let's talk about the NAFTA Super Highway, things that affect Texas and others along the corridor to Canada.
Why should we(the Taxpayers) pay these sitting senators when they are not at work in Washington??? Our business fires people who do not show up to work!!
Huckabee is sure getting a lot of votes and he is a breath of fresh air in a stuffy political scene. He did great things in Arkansas for 10.5 yrs and given the chance he can revitalize America!!
