Way to go Mike!
I'm an Iowa Democrat (who caucused for Obama). In August last year I drove two hours to Ames to vote for Huckabee in the Republican straw poll. (Their only rule was that you had to be from Iowa.)
Anyhow, the two dimensional media portrait of the Governor is unfair. He's not the Bible thumping fire and brimstone conservative ala Pat Robertson. He's the genuine article compassionate conservative.
Last July Lance Armstrong held a cancer forum and invited all candidates from both parties. Huckabee stole the show.
I wonder if Republicans will regret not giving him a second look.

Obama suddenly has said he opposes NAFTA however will not repeal it.

All Obama is trying to do is create a wedge amongst voters in Ohio vs. Texas. He is after the Latin American vote, he knows he will not get Ohio, so he is trying to wedge Texas. Latin Americans want more connections with NAFTA countries, hence he is pushing this wedge.

Obama is the most strategic waffler ever to be in the political arena. The media if its truely fair, needs to clearly point this out to Latin American voters in Texas and in the Ohio that he is doing this only for Latin American Texan votes.

There are tons of great reviews about Mike Huckabee all over the news. I barely read any rave reviews (or even lukewarm reviews) about McCain on these blogs.

Huckabee supporters are fired up about him. Huckabee is really connecting with the American citizens. Whereas McCain supporters are not fired up about McCain at all, they are just casting their vote for him because the establishment bosses told them to do so. They have no excitement about their candidate.

McCain is going to get thumped on in the general election against Obama. The Republican party establishment didnt learn their lesson when they got thumped on in the 2006 House & Senate election campaigning on the theme of "My way or the Highway" attitude that John McCain is delivering.

Unless Ohio and Texas voters come to the rescue and vote for Huckabee a dynamic charasmatic leader, than the Republican party is doomed forever. Mike Huckabee has the charisma to go one on one with Obama in the Ring.

Huckabee has the guts and courage to appear in public and still maintain his cool. Very few people have that courage to face the public with dignity. The way he handled himself deserves much praise. SNL was hilarious! Mike Huckabee has perfect comedic timing and delivery. It's refreshing to see a candidate who's not so "full of himself", not hauling his ego around in a Mack truck with his entourage.

I've noticed that there is a small minority of folks who insist that he is a "hate monger." I challenge them to find even one incidence of him speaking hatefully of anyone, even his rivals. As always, the ones who accuse Huckabee of hating are the ones who are actually intolerant and hateful themselves -- such as calling him a Nazi and saying he's like Hitler. Huckabee genuinely cares about people from ALL walks of life. Ask some of the Katrina victims that he persaonlly helped.

And he is authentically pro-life, caring not just about innocent babies in the womb, but for people at every state of their lives.... unlike Obama, who voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. What kind of monster would allow helpless, abortion-survivor babies to just lie on a table and die?

The most subtle of jokes about media bias by the first new SNL for a long time was the fact that they didn't even mention Ron Paul. Wow, can they read the media or what. Maybe they should have a sketch on media bias and reported misquotes saying Paul has dropped out of the race, haha;) They could get Jimmie Vaughn to play that night like he did for Paul at UT last Saturday afternoon. Another idea is a sketch about McCain and his new FEC problems, maybe Johnny Mac will meet the real "Mack the Knife".

huckabee is a funny man with a good plan,I think he would make an incredible president. humility will take a person far. people can trust someone who is willing to admit when they make a bad judgement call or mistake of some sort. we feel safe with someone who can see their own flaws because they can correct their direction when their plan is just not working. arrogant people just plow through no matter what negative outcome their decision cause.

Huckabee turns self-effacing humor into an art form. And because of this, he continuously remains visible in spite of his impossible bid in this election cycle. Though I strongly disagree with many of Huckabee's policy positions, I still admire his winsome wit and tenacity. Other politicians could learn much on grace under fire from Huckabee's example. Irreverence of oneself is both disarming and sexy!

someone compared Mike Huckabee to Hitler.You gotta be kidding.You don't know this man very well then.Mike is a man who has principles,lives by them but never forces them on anyone.You can't win.If he had an affair,did something illegal or his campaign was less than above board it'd be all over the place and ppl would be pointing fingers.So Mike has princples and ppl point fingers.
Mike Huckabee is one of the nicest most pleasant candidates out there.He's intelligent(if you take the time to listen to him)articulate and understands our country and its history better than ppl give him credit for.He wasn't elected a gov of Ark for two (10yr)terms because he was some kind of Hitler.He was also voted one of the top 5 Gov in the U.S.No Hitler there.To call Gov Huckabee some kind of Hitler is just nonsense.Gotta do your homework to know the man.
MIke didn't come from privilege,money or political ambitions. He came from a family a lot like yours and mine.We couldn't have a better man for President.

I thought the Huckabee skit was good. That was the only one I watched basically.

I changed from the Democrat party after being a registered democrat for the last 21 years, so I could vote for Huckabee in the primaries here. I like his fair tax support, and think it is the best economic stimulus for our failing economy.

It is the bible and the God behind it you have a problem with, not the man. The way God has created things they were GOOD. When people started to mess with the basics of life, and change things according to their corrupted desirers, God has left them. Whenever people listen to someone else instead of the Creator, they will end up turning everything upside down. It is our responsibility to tell apart good from evil. And yes those categories do apply to sexual behaviors too. The supernatural evil connects to people through their desires. He wants to rule the center of their personality by putting those desires in charge over their heart on soul. It does not mean people crossing the lines God has set up are all evil, but certain desires and acts do root straight back to the supernatural evil. It is the responsibility of those, who knows God to tell people that God has a very strong opinion about their desires and the direction they are heading to. It is the true manifestation of love, when someone conflicts with people and tries to convince them to stop from turning their lives into an eternal disaster.

The problem is that some people only hear what they want to. God’s message is not that how bad and sinful WE ALL are! His message is that even though this is true, he still LOVES US so much that he rather wanted His Own Son to DIE than any of us. See, THERE IS a SOLUTION! But, you have to do your part too by accepting it, and using mercy to make your life heading towards God, not away from Him. GOD is truly holy, without faults. If you choose acts which have sin in their center to lead your life on Earth, it will separate you from God not just here in Earth, but you will become irreversibly separated the moment you die. In eternity there is no mixing good and bad. If you choose heading towards God while you are here, he will make His presence permanent in You after your leaving Earth, and will also cut out sin completely from You. If you are heading away from Him, you will lose everything that is actually good in You, and will spend the eternity experiencing only the bad, you have chosen. Expect it to be truly bad, not some sort of eternal party.

When you accuse people telling You, the same thing God is telling You, and you still call them evil, then it is God who you declare to be Evil.
