I live in Ohio and will enthusiastically vote for Hillary next Tuesday! She will be a GREAT President.

Ohio, Texas, Vermont, Rhode Island and then Penn must stop this Obamarama train wreck. It's ruining our Dem party and ruining our chances for victory in November. A vote for obama now is a vote for McCain in November.

Obama is unqualified to be President and is unelectable in the general election. That's why the corporate owned media and their republican pals are trying to so desperately to bring down Hillary. Republicans are being told to "do their duty" and vote for Obama to bring down Hillary and then of course, vote for McCain in Nov. The media has engaged in a 24/7 hit job on Hillary for months, yet she's still standing strong. Hillary is one tough woman, she can beat them at their own game.

Short story to comment on but it is an opportunity to discuss the importance of the VP selection of both candidates. Any names being considered by Obama? After all the VP a candidate selects says a lot about their judgement of a person whom they believe would be capable of taking over as President for them. Unfortunately, Obama can't look to a consideration of Colin Powell who would be the man with Foreign Policy experience because of lying to the United Nations and the American People about Iraq's weapons of mass distruction. Yes, Powell like Clinton, were betrayed by Bush as they were put in the position of supporting the President. An knowing how Obama feels about Hillary Clinton's vote on the resolution giving Bush the option to go to war if the Inspectors failed (He did not wait for the inspectors to get back into Iraq as promised),
Obama must feel the same way about Colin Powell.
Actually, if Colin Powell would switch tickets and express that he would be a Democrate, he would be the perfect running mate for Hillary Clinton. Now
that would be a powerful, united ticket for the Democrats. Certainly, Hillary and Colin Powell have both the experience and the betral of Bush in common
and would be really great to help our country.

It would be much better if we knew before we vote for a Presidential candidate who their choice of running mate for VP would be. Really makes sense
and just might be part of the deciding factor in our votes.

Being the former First Lady only qualifies you to be a future First Lady. Hillary Clinton is running on her husband's record (and trying to cherry-pick that for "the good parts"), has demonstrated over the last week very poor judgment with regard to problem-solving and demeanor (the "whining" about SNL should be a real disqualifier), has demonstrated fiscal irresponsibility with the financial state of her campaign, has demonstrated poor people management skills (again via her campaign), has shown herself to be secretive (no tax returns, White House records), has demonstrated a desire to revise history and the facts (NAFTA, healthcare, foreign policy).

This ia a "change" election and voters are looking for something more than a skirt in the White House. A Clinton returning to the White House is a not a change and it will be Bill Clinton back in the driver's seat. In 2008, we have a better choice: Barack Obama.

It appears to be very easy to look the other way or make concessions for a candidate when ( once again ) we have a representative from Ohio looking for what THEY can gain from their candidate being elected, not what's best for our state. The mayor of Youngstown endorsed Bush in 2004 on the promise to be hired into Bush's administration ( even though Youngstown is one of the more oppressed cities in the U.S) .....he's still here, AND he is no longer the mayor of Youngstown. How many times is is going to take for the politicians in Ohio ( specifically Youngstown ) to get it through their heads that if you were promised a job in their administration ( potential VP nod )before and got left behind, that's the way the "old" politics work in Washington....you will be left behind again. Wake up for goodness sake!

The call for transparent government was valid for Strickland against his opponent when he ran for office....but he's willing to make concessions for Hillary and promote her to the people of Ohio, if it means there's something in it for him. Amazing how quickly one will abandon their beliefs when it suits their agenda.

I am an Ohioian, a lifelong Republican voter, and a mother of 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren. I have a strong interest in this country changing direction, moving from the extreme right wing politics of the past 8 years and becoming a center based moderate politically based government. I recently changed my political affiliation to Democratic in order to demonstrate my belief that the Republican party has failed this country. I have voted an absentee ballot already in support of Barack Obama. I believe strongly it is time for the next generation to become the leaders of our national government and lead us into a future that is based on common sense, sensible spending, and prosperity for all people, not just a select few very rich and well connected people. I also want the far right wing of the Republican party and the far left wing of the Democratic party to be sidelined so decisions are made in a bipartisan way and meet the needs of all citizens not just specific issues such as abortion, school prayer, sexual orientation and all the other personal issues that are not, and should never be, the business of the government, whether that be national, state or local government. People in these United States are quite capable of making up their own minds about personal issues of sexual preference, abortion, religion and how their children are educated. We do not need government making those decisions. I am 71 years old and I have been quite happy to see my children grow to adults who are educated, productive citizens now raising their children in the same manner. I have no doubt if we leave the country in the capable hands of my children's generation there will be no doubt the future of the United States will be secure. My youngest daughter and her husband have also changed their party affiliation from Republican to Democratic in support of Senator Obama. I hope the remainder of my family will do the same.

I love all the brave people on here who make racist comments and then hide behind the moniker John Doe. And to the person that was outraged about his smoking. He's spoked about that and has admitted it's a bad habit. But I'm sure you're perfect, so you rightly can criticize him for that.
