He goes around saying hes a conservative yet hes the farthest thing from it, and wants to continue in Iraq for another 100 years. This world is dangerous, and considering China is the country that holds us up financially i'd be worrying about them instead of third world nations that dont even have an airforce or navy.

And in the end it all comes back to that one problem. This guy is sickening me to my stomach. We have terrible economy. Gas is almost at $ 4.00 a gallon, and all he can talk about is radical Islamic extremism. Can any reporter tell him please let's talk about millions of people who lost their jobs in Ohio and throughout the nation. I feel like we are giving him a free pass to talk about that bull...radical Islamic extremism. What the true issues. Please midia, let's do a better job that, I am tired of that guy political view on thing. Four years ago against Bush he was nothing and now there is contender in the republican race he's gotten a free ride. If that's all he has to offer then what doesn't take General Petreus's Job. I am sure he would have won the war in Iraq already. That guy is annoying as if he can't see the true reality that American people are facing. We are losing our jobs, our homes, health-care and education. I am tired of hearing about radical Islamic extremism. That is all he talks about. But Was She, Too?
In the past few days, as Hillary Clinton has intensified her attacks on Barack Obama prior to the all-important primaries in Ohio and Texas, she has claimed that he has been "missing in action" regarding Afghanistan. Clinton has been trying to make the case that she's better prepped than Obama to be commander-in-chief and more qualified to answer the phone at 3:00 a.m. when crisis strikes. To prove her point, she notes that Obama, who chairs a foreign relations subcommittee covering European matters, has held not one hearing on how to bolster NATO in Afghanistan. This weekend she told reporters on her campaign plane that he has failed in a "responsibility that is directly related to Afghanistan." She urged the journos to grill Obama on this. She said that Afghanistan is "one of the two most important challenges internationally." And she added, "I think he was missing in action...because he was running for president."

Senator Joe Biden, has held several hearings on Afghanistan that covered NATO's role there. It's not as if the foreign relations committee did nothing on Afghanistan because Obama did not take on the mission. Also, as happens with many committees, the chair of the full committee reserves the right to handle the big issues him- or herself, and Afghanistan counts as a big issue.

Clinton ought to be careful about hurling stones in this area. As she always tells campaign crowds, she is a member of the Senate armed services committee. In February the committee held two hearings on Afghanistan. On February 8, it focused on appropriations for U.S. military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates was a witness. Eight days later, the committee zeroed in on U.S. strategy in Afghanistan, holding a two-part hearing examining recent reports on Afghanistan. Clinton attended neither of these hearings. She was on the campaign trail.

Many hearings occur on Capitol Hill without all members--or even a majority of members--of the committee in attendance. In fact, that's more common than not. At plenty of hearings, the committee chair is the only senator or representative present. So it's no surprise or scandal that Clinton was not there for these two Afghanistan hearings. (She did participate in two hearings on Afghanistan held by the committee in the first half of 2007.) But in a campaign season, a spinner could easily say that she's guilty of the same charge she tosses at Obama: putting presidential campaigning ahead of Afghanistan. Her neglect, certainly, is not the same as his: he held no hearings for a year; she attended no hearings this year. But as Clinton throws the kitchen sink at Obama, she ought to make sure nuts and bolts don't bounce back at her.

http://www.motherjones.com/mojoblog/archives/2008/03/7442_clinton_says_ob.html

McCain talks foreign policy, again

Really makes no difference who wins the Democratic nomonation for when the voter goes into the booth on election day....this country is not yet ready for a black man for president or a woman and will not vote that way. The dems really had a chance to win the white house this time and blew it with their canadiates.

McCain talks foreign policy, again

One attack between now and November and it all will be about national security and (more) war. They talk about McCain like he is the devil yet have no mention of the scandals the Clintons have been involved in. Also they ignore the fact that Obama has no accomplishments what so ever. He is a pacifist and is ready to dismantle our missle defense system, discontinue weapon development, and will not continue to build nuclear weapons. Understaning this would be great if anyone believed the rest of the world would do the same but that is asinine. Does anyone believe Ronald Reagan could have won the cold war with this idiotic thinking. Obama has been linked with muslim radicals, racist extremist, and liberals that want to give everbody everthing (free college, free medical, etc. Someone tell me who is going to pay for it. If people aren't scared to death of this guy they are either stupid or totally uninformed.

McCain talks foreign policy, again

McCain better come up with more then one issue to run on for President. The Amercian people, left, middle and some on the right are going to get real tired of hearing the same chest beating the surge is working comment over and over again during the general election. Can't wait for a McCain / Obama debate. Let's see what McCain has to say about the economy and domestic policy issues. I did not mention a McCain / Hillary debate. She would claim she has more experience on foreign policy then McCain and then put out ads answering a white phone after it rings 6 or 7 times and then get swamped by McCain with her 49+ negative ratings with the Amercian people. So we'll just leave her out of the equation. And then Obama can explain to McCain one more time when baited with his debate comments that he would protect American interests if forced too in Iraq after a troop withdrawal by stating read my lips donkey breadth, no one said anything about putting troops back into Iraq. There are other more effective ways to eliminate a terrorist base in Iraq without having to send in troops to act as policemen. Believe me, Obama will be ready for McCain on this issue. And if need be Obama might ask McCain how is it he (McCain) is such a tough man when he allowed Bush and his campaign to abuse and smear his own wife in the SC 2000 primary race yet kissed the guys butt for the last eight years. I'd like to hear the explanation for that?

McCain talks foreign policy, again

"If the other Democrat candidate gets the nomination, I'll vote for McCain!" Well, that talk basically seals the Deal for McCain. Imagine what society would have said and done if Obama had played the race and gender card or engaged in any of the dirty and horrible tactics that "Billary" has engaged in. We all know that he would have been "put out to pasture." Imagine further how we would be treating Obama if Hillary had won 11 straight contests. Yet somehow Hillary is a victim and has been treated unfairly by the media.

I have been a Clinton supported and a huge fan for many years, but I am no longer. I do not believe that even seeking the Presidency of the United States should be a reason or excuse for saying and doing absolutely anything irrespective of the consequences.

I am no longer a supporter or fans of the Clintons and I will never ever support one again.

McCain talks foreign policy, again

jerry,
did you vote Republican or follow the dittoheads?

McCain talks foreign policy, again

Ohio State Director Paul Tewes:

Our campaign’s goal today is to ensure that any registered voter in the state of Ohio can go to the polls and cast their ballot for their candidate of choice without interference. We understand that the Clinton campaign may want to depress turnout because Barack Obama has closed a 20-point gap over the course of this month as voters across the state got to know him.

It has been the hallmark of the Democratic party to educate and protect the rights of voters. If the Clinton campaign disagrees with that principle, they should say so today.

We have received reports from around the state of independents and Republicans who chose to vote in the Democratic primary receiving issue only or Republican ballots instead of the Democratic ballot they were entitled to. We have also had reports that the voter ID requirements have been misstated at various locations, causing some voters to be turned away.

We will take action when necessary to ensure that all eligible voters are able to cast their votes and to have their votes counted.

We will continue to monitor the polls to ensure that all Ohioans who choose to participate in today’s election are able to do so regardless of who they choose to vote for.
McCain talks foreign policy, again

This just in from the republicans! It's idiotic and childish to assume he meant a war in Iraq - it's been 60 years since we ended WWII -- guess what we have military bases in Germany and Japan, our ALLIES. Mc Cain wants to make up for the screw ups during Viet Nam.Problem is it is the same old stuff all over again. The jobs have been sent out of the country and the ones that are left aren't enough to live on except for illegals living in grossly over crowded conditions. With all these domestic problems do we need a president who thinks the only problem is Iraq.I think not.As for Hilary you want to talk about dangerous she is!Iam not completely sold on Obama but given the choices
he is as good as it is going to get.If the economy
jobs and so on aren't fixed there won't be a United States left. You can't have it all.Mc Cain means another Bush Administration.Hilary brings us back to the Clinton Years. No Thanks.Do the math.Mc Cain is out of touch to say the least.Lest you think Iam some kid I'm 59 Retired military so all you folks who have been so pro war I hope you served at least one hitch
I have 22yrs.69-71 73-93.If you haven't then we know
you have no idea what your talking about.War is extremely expensive not only financially but in lives lost physical and pyschological trauma the list goes on.I'm not saying Obama has all the answers but the other two candidates are not an option. As for him being a Muslim WRONG!Here is a final note regarding that the General in charge during the Gulf War "Storm'n Norman" grew up in the Middle East and understood a lot about the way things were there.Does this make him a Terrorist Muslim etc.?
