Take the high road - you have let Senator Clinton bringing down into the mud. You need to get back on about change. Do not fall into the trap of he said she said. Your message yesterday should have been: it is unbelievable that the Clinton campaign has evoked one of the darkest times in partisan politics. To indicate that Senator Obama is like Ken Starr is beyond wrong! It needs to be indicated that this was brought up first here by the Clinton team. You need to say something to the effect that by voting for Senator Clinton you will be taking the country back to a time of devicive partisan politics. And that by bringing up Ken Star you're reminding the country of the mess that the Clintons, the Republicans and the scandals in the late 1990s. Then you need to say this is all you will say about this. THEY have opened the door.

2. He missed an opportunity this week when Senator Clinton planted the seed of a combined ticket. At that moment you should've had a statement coming out and saying quote in no uncertain terms would you want to share a ticket. To do so you would be indicating that you do not stand for change but stand for opportunity. Your campaign is about change. By accepting a VP slot or by asking Senator Clinton to be your VP, you would be showing the millions of people that voted for you that you really do not stand for change. By coming out with a press release saying this now you are reaffirming your stance for change and not politics as usual. She did this to plant the seed that you could be subservient to her. Get a statement saying he will not accept a combined ticket in any way shape or form. If you have the power and that you were bringing people to this party, she is not.

Clinton: Monster's ball

Ken Starr drug out his 15 min of fame for years and came up with nodda.Obama will if not this time than next will make his case I think. He has already made history by getting this far.

Clinton: Monster's ball

I am so sick of Hillary's bi-polar attitude. Some how the truth always comes about and this presidential race has been and will continue to be no exception irregardless of the politics being toyed with in front of and behind the cameras.

Clinton: Monster's ball

I cannot believe the bile that comes out of Obama's supporters, yet you claim that you are for "hope" and "change". The worst thing Ms. Powers said was to ridicule working class people, still the majority in US. There is so much arrogance in Obama's camp, they cannot see the reality of everyday life. They seem to have no clue why voters are for Hillary. She works hard, she gets things done, and she does not quit.

Clinton: Monster's ball

If Hillary doesn't want to be called a monster, then she should quit behaving like one!! The truth hurts and the comment made by the Obama staffer was mild, compared to the truth of who she actually has become.

If the Superdelegates decide to back Hillary, they will deserve exactly what they get. Has everyone in the DNC forgotten how humiliating it was to tow the Clinton line and defend the indefensible? I bet they are remembering right now...

As a former card carrying member of the right wing conspiracy, I had actually forgiven the Clintons for their behavior during the 90s. I actually started to believe that the Clintons may have been victims and forced to play hardball during the scandals. Now I know better. Hillary's campaign has proven that they are willing to do and say anything to preserve and regain political power. I voted for Obama in the TN primary but had planned to vote for Hillary if she became the nominee. Now, I would not consider voting for Hillary ever!!! Her ambition outweighs any dignity that she may have regained as a Senator. I will not vote for a person that believes that their person ambitions are more important than the democratic party or the United States. Her campaign has signaled by their reference to the 90s scandals that they believe that the "ends justifies the means". It does NOT and I can only hope that the citizens of New York see who they have elected and choose to elect a Senator that cares more for the people, than for herself. No doubt that her behavior will likely prevent her from becoming the democratic nominee and hopefully from being reelected to the Senate.

I am not surprised but am extremely disappointed that she could not find it within herself to be dignified and set an example for young women interested in the political process. Instead they have chosen to represent the worst in politics and to go back to the time when the President humiliated her and the rest of the country. It makes me sick and disgusted. I will vote for McCain if Hillary makes it to the general election.

Clinton: Monster's ball

If there any undecides reading this, please look at the Obama posts on this thread. They condone this type of behavior. Calling a wife and mother who is loved by so many people a monster is not the politics of hope. I respect Barack Obama, even though I do not agree with him on the issues. I really wish that Obama supporters did not hate me or the candidate who is the choice of millions of voters. If you are undecided, I ask you to look at the issues and voter for Hillary Clinton. She is not perfect, but she has a better plan.

Hillary 08

Clinton: Monster's ball

Can we please have a conversation about NAFTA/ Canadians? Obama and whines about the media. The media fell for it and instead of letting the voters decide who they wanted based on the issues, the focus became poor Hillary---has the media really been unfair to her. It has hurt the first female presidential candidate's feelings and the media better dig up dirt on Sen. Obama fast to make up for its actions. I thought she was tough and a fighter? I thought the media would be smarter. The result--the March 4 elections turned into a vote based on fear and half-truths and not the candidates' positions on issues. I am truly amazed that so many people buy into this kind of campaigning. It's very sad.

Second, although Sen. Obama has tried to stay on his message of change/hope, talk about the issues and has tried to stay above the fray, if he doesn't return fire in a real way, Sen. Obama will lose the nomination. If I were Sen. Obama's campaign, I would say unfortunately I have no alternative but to raise certain questions regarding Sen. Clinton's ability to be Commander-in-Chief because she has chosen to take this campaign to a lower level. Instead of campainging on the issues, Sen. Clinton has chosen the path of fear and smear. I cannot let these unsubstantiated attacks go answered. Unfortunately he may have to be more like the Clintons--seek and destroy anything in the way on the road to whe White house and worry about picking up the pieces later. Let's face it, if the democratics want change, we will ultimately vote for whichever candidate becomes the nominee and that is exactly what Sen. Clinton is banking on.
By the way, besides praising Sen. McCain above Sen. Obama, did anyone catch Sen. Clinton stating that the general election will be about national security? If that's the case and she is the democratic nominee, what is the fate of the economy and healthcare? She's a hawk.

Clinton: Monster's ball

You know, it every campaign surrogates make gaffes, blunders, misstatements, cheap shots (to borrow Abrams' term). Ninety-plus percent of the time is nothing but a distractor. A surrogate blows off steam, vents. Just like we all do. Its unfortunate but it happens in very campaign.

The trick is to understand when it becomes a pattern or otherwise indicative of something of substance with the candidate (i.e., something you can reall link back to the actual person running for office).

I don't think her remark was well-advised. But she realized she had inappropriately vented and apologized.

I think we can move on from there.

The Starr remark was curious to me, just what was he trying to do there?

Clinton: Monster's ball

Carson,

You are exactly what is wrong with this country and why our culture has become immoral and indecent. She only sponsored 2 pieces of legislation that made it to the president's desk and that was to set up a historical site and name a fricken post office. By your standards any first lady who had a prior law career would qualify as president.

The one thing she does have is experience at manipulating and intimidating the media and we all know the electorate is basically controlled by the media. Fair is fair--there was plenty of reporting on the Obama campaign's alleged involvement before the March 4 elections and despite questions about the accuracy of the paraphrased comments in the memo. If you choose not to wait until Canada's investigation is complete before reporting possibly inaccurate details about one candidate, the same should apply to the opponent.

Clinton: Monster's ball

Talk about NAFTAGATE. Harper is sorry, he didn't mean to get involved in our primary elections with the leak on Obama's advisor. He wanted to get involved in our general election by also leaking the story about Clinton's NAFTA contact. See, both Democrats are hypocrits. The Canadians probably also contacted McCain about NAFTA, but he probably thought it was an ingredient in naphthalene and refered them to the EPA, so he's not a hypocrit. See how that works? Harper gets his digs in while appearing to be fair. I can hardly wait for the next Canadian election; payback time.

Clinton: Monster's ball

Wait a minute - Muslim, Monster, Muslim Monster - No apology required - Obama's response should be - She's not a Monster "as far as I know" -

Clinton: Monster's ball

Wait a minute - Muslim, Monster, Muslim Monster - No apology required - Obama's response should be - She's not a Monster "as far as I know" -

Clinton: Monster's ball

Howard Dean needs to do the job he was hired to do - stop this bickering. Obama had said the following:
"..And I know one way we could make a real statement for Mississippi and that is for Mississippi to vote for a Black man for president on Tuesday."

Do you think he would be taken to task by the supporters of the MONSTER?

I have the perfect solution to both states. It has been proven that ALOT of people for both Hillary and Sen. Obama did not vote because they did not believe that their votes would count. Since it is a record of the people who cast a ballot in both states simply allow the voters who DID NOT VOTE TO VOTE IN FL. AND MI. ALSO ALLOW THE PEOPLE IN MI WHO WAS TOLD TO VOTE UNCOMMITTED TO CHANGE THEIR VOTE TO EITHER CANDIDATE. Now this should appease all parties involved and should be more cost prohibitive than a complete re-vote.

Clinton: Monster's ball

Obama supporters rejoice!! Hillary has finally shown her true colors. Her supporters are showing us all how desperate they are to vindicate the fact that they have been supporting a viper all along!! Many Hillary supporters like to point out that the Obama campaign is acting "like" Hillary. Wow, has it not occured to Hillary supporters that the Obama campaign is based on moving on from the brand of politics invented by the Clintons. I'm willing to forgive the tactics of her adversaries as long as she is defeated. One or two negative comments by the Obama campaign do not even come close to the damage done to women's causes when Hillary paid for Bill's settlement in the Paula Jones lawsuit.
