Johnson wa sright too and had a right to be offended .that was Obama was lieing to make race an issue useing clintons. He twisted and jumped and wailed. It was them against us and made the race full of race.Thats how he got S.Carolina and even now if its a state with blacks in it in numbers polls give it to him and say cause of blacks. He smiles at that and uses it.Obama is a racist and will ruin this country.Johnson was shut up by crying foul like they shut up Pres. Clinton.Make everyone afraid to question cause we have all worked hard to get away from raceism. No one wants to be associated with being racial. They are good at what they do.His wife said we know Chiago politcs and are good at it.They sure are heres an example.Going to change anything for better my foot.He has damaged this country for his own means. He didnt even live here while we all worked on civil rights and being one.It wasnt easy for anyone white or black at times. He doesnt care,When no use throws them away. Not Hilary. Blacks are the strongest people I know. THey know how to stand up for right!!I believe they will. They can get help if they need protection . It isnt like the old days any more we ARE one. Obama is the only one doesnt see it. He wasnt here and doesnt care. It is all about him.I think Johnson was and is a hero.He was speaking the truth.Even so he apolized cause Hillary wants things to be good.

Revisiting Bob Johnson

this is ridiculous. I posted an entry about this topic on my blog: http://swimmingfreestyle.typepad.com/swimming_freestyle/2008/03/suck-it-up-hill.html
An excerpt:
Jeez, Senator Clinton, this is starting to look like pro wrestling here. Lots of drama, hammy acting and over exaggerated responses to what all observing can plainly see are pulled punches and minor blows.

Suck it up Senator. Is this what you think is "tough enough" to be President of the United States? What are you going to do if you're elected, call for the firing of anyone who calls you a bad name?
Revisiting Bob Johnson

People, lets calm down.
The Clintons are the Clintons. They are, well... you know... held to a different standard than the rest of us.
Power was obligated to resign not just because of what she said, but the fact that she said it about a Clinton.

Now, don't get your tempers up. Mrs Clinton will hold a press conference very soon to tell the press what to write about all of this. And then you'll have the only explanation you ever need.

Revisiting Bob Johnson

You are just scratching the surface. Its time for the press/media to point out lies and false statements rather than being the mud carrier for the campaigns. I was always told if you repeat a lie that you know is a lie you are as responsible as the liar. You want a fight so you can fill air time with "excitment". This is our country that is in play here shouldn't we be entitled a little trustworthy reporting.

Revisiting Bob Johnson

This is another case of Hillary Clinton having the pot call the kettle black. I am a senior citizen caucasion woman who unlike many others in my demographic wants this country to move forward not backwards. the vicious unfounded and not so subtle manipulation of the clinton campaign has disgusted me. I would like to see a woman in the white house but not that woman. Since their programs are virtually the same re:health care the economy, why would anyone want someone as divisive as mrs. clinton running this country. It is PRECISLEY because of the dirty tactics that she has shown that she has made huge enemies in the senate and if she becomes the candidate every program she supports will be rejected. The republicans would love to have her run then McCain will win and we will have another four years of the ugliness that we have had under. bush and cheney. I have never seen anything really get accomplished in this country when you have someone that does not inspire anything but distaste. So i will go along with the younger voters just like the 60's when we stopped a war, got a president to resign and restored the admiration of this country in the rest of the world. Obama has been the one saying all along that he will run a different type of campaign, would not engage in name-calling, and would avoid personal attacks.

2. MI (although they knew the penalty), allowing registered Republicans to vote in Democratic primaries (such as Texas), is a big reason we are in the mess we are in now. No matter what happens with Fl and MI, there is going to be a feeling of being cheated. If the DNC holds to their rules (BTW agreed upon by all candidates at the time including Hillary), people are going to feel cheated. If you allow them to revote (especially with Hillary doing all the pushing), people are going to feel cheated and will set a precedent for States in the future who want to be more of a player tomove up their dates, there is nothing good that come of it. We are going to have a broken convention and a broken party. At this point, no matter who you support, Clinton or Obama, more than likely if your candidate does not win, the other side will stay at home or vote Republican. Dems are going to lose in November and this is lifelong Dem saying it. We always find a way to mess it up.

Revisiting Bob Johnson

Howard Wolfson called Obama Kenneth Starr.

Kenn Star = Monster in Clinton Circles

Howard Wolfson MUST resign
Revisiting Bob Johnson

HILLARY ALSO WENT ON THE ATTACK FOR THE REPORTER WHO SAID HILLARY WAS "PIMPING HER DAUGHTER". THE MAN WAS SUSPENDED!

NOW THIS!

PEOPLE: STOP GIVING UP YOUR POWER TO HILLARY!
Revisiting Bob Johnson

Julie, you are so right. Makes me wonder-if Obama cannot even win support from so called liberals how is going to win the general election? He failed to win a single big state bar his home state of IL. Its true that he has energized a large (very liberal and visible especially on internet) democratic base but is that enough to win the gen election-guess not. And so far I have only factored in his backgound as a criteria for his viability.many more questions are yet to asked. If you have watched any of the debates,I dont think you needed Saturday Night live to tell us that media has given Obama a soft gloved treatment so far compared to what Clinton had to go through. And I am not even talking about the obviously biased MSNBC here. Real scrutiny is inevitable and looks like he is having a hard time handling it. If you think Clintons 3 AM ad is negative “you havent seen nothing yet" and wait till he get the nomination and see what republicans will do to him.
Even I hope that America has changed enough to see him in the white house but the answer so far has been NO NOT YET. I can understand the passion behind extreme liberals"hate Hillary' and "Obama or die" attitude but I dont think that healthy for their party. If they dont want to see another Bush term, its time to get real and stop hating Hillary who is their only viable choice.I dont think that she is guarenteed to win against MCCain either(unless the extreme wright wing evangelicals stay home) but amongst moderates,I think she has a fighting chance

Revisiting Bob Johnson

Hey, it took another WOMEN to see Hillary the way she really is. She's going back to the 70's.

Revisiting Bob Johnson

as a member of the demographic (a woman & over 60) who should be voting for hillary, i definitely don't fall in with the rest of this group. further, ms. powers should have known better. although i strongly agree with her sentiment, what sheer stupidity to share these thoughts with a member of the press!! also, after a lifetime of observing presidential politics, it seems to me that hillary & co. will do anything to get her elected, regardless of how it may hurt the democratic process and the future of our country. monster tactics? absolutely! monstrous stupidity? even more so!

Revisiting Bob Johnson

Enough coverage of the Samantha Powers incident. She crossed the line, was held accountable and paid the consequences. Give this incident it’s due coverage and then please move on. Must we be subjected to analysis, cross-analysis and over-analysis of this single event all day long and into every news show tonight?

I proudly support Obama for many reasons, however until recently I have also listened with respect to Clinton's positions. I used to feel that she would be a good second choice to win the nomination and take back the White House. Not anymore. Her negative attacks and exploitation of any possible Obama misstep is just too hypocritical and disingenuous. How can I possibly know WHO this woman is anymore, let alone trust her to answer that "call"? Just who would turn up: the gracious, intelligent woman who was "honored" to run against Obama; the shrill, outraged and "misrepresented" candidate, chiding him for fliers that were no worse than some of her own; or the sarcastic cynic who gleefully and quite disrespectfully mocked him for his own unique message and style? Or perhaps it will be the Hillary who cries foul with the media and pounces on and exploits every wrong inflicted upon her by the Obama campaign. Then again, we may see the Hillary that wants to rally the Democrats into a unified party, yet continues to insult her OWN party's opposing candidate and places him below the Republican nominee. (She truly should be ashamed of her own behavior for that last one).

I am done; I just cannot trust Hillary Clinton anymore, despite her deep intelligence and experience. I will continue to trust my own intuition and support Obama, who--like all candidates--remains imperfect, yet still has the knowledge, experience, judgment AND authenticity to lead our country.

Please, media, give us some balanced coverage! Run the Samantha Powers story, then juxtapose it to some analysis around the alleged Clinton doublespeak to the Canadians about Nafta, the Ken Starr remarks, the Bob Johnson double-standard, and the Clinton/McCain "lifetime of experience" vs Obama "speech" argument.
Revisiting Bob Johnson

So for being objective journalist.. I agree with one of the other comments posted here, you in the media business seem to enjoy this dirty politics, coz you get more coverage and hence more money into your pockets.
So do your job media and do it right. You have bought into the Hillary glitz, not the people. so get over it and do some actual reporting

Revisiting Bob Johnson

Come on. Queen Hillary has the god given right to treat us differently.

Who is worse?
Bush+Cheney
Hillary+Bill

Funny thing is Obama and Hillary introduced legislation to eliminate this type of dirty politics.
Hillary tried living up to her own legislation.
When she fell behind, she flushed her moral ethics down the toilet.

Why does the media back off Hillary when she cries? When Obama says foul, the media attacks him more.
Guess the media is bought off by Hillary's federal lobbyist friends.

ABC gave Hillary large sums of money.
