A Solution for All

To solve the democratic nomination and to find McCain’s VP what McCain needs to do is ask Clinton to join his ticket. This will solve everyone’s problem by the following:

McCain: he gets someone who actually does understand the economy, plus he can stick it to all the conservatives, who he hates anyway.

Clinton: this is the surest and maybe quickest path to the presidency, after all at McCain’s age he will be a one term president at the most, probably less. Also this would free her to really savage Obama which is what she really, really wants to do.

Obama: this would guarantee him the nomination and he wouldn’t have to ask Clinton to be on his ticket, therefore not having to worry about Bill hanging around and possibly doing something that would embarrass his administration.

American voters: First for those republicans who would like to vote for Obama but feel guilty it gives them the excuse they are actually voting against Hillary. For those white democrats who may not admit it but can’t bring themselves to vote for an African-American it gives them the excuse they are voting for Hillary. Finally everyone can then pick between voting for Washington experience or Washington change. The only ones left out are the true conservatives, but face it they really don’t have a horse in this race anyway.

I think the floater backfired in a big way. Consider the Clinton supporters who are asking themselves, "Well if he's as great as Hillary and Bill says he is, maybe I'm in the wrong camp". I found the proposition both condescending and audacious. I disagree that it was an attempt to pull Obama's votes. I believe it was an attempt to force Obama to say, if anyone was going to be VP, it would be Hillary. Fortunately, for the sake of change, he declined to bite. In case you didn't know Hillary YOU ARE LOSING! If The Clinton's manage to steal the nomination from Obama after the numbers show he was winning, it would be the same as President Bush winning the election in 2000 from Al Gore. --First, that is a misnomer. In my opinion, John McCain/John McCain's advisors are stronger on the economy than cut and spend Mitt Romney, my goodness. I, honestly, don't know why people allow the argument that Republicans are better on the economy to be made, much less to push that notion as a Democrat. As I said, I like John McCain's positions, it's not that he's weak on the economy, merely that he doesn't really care.
--And if a Republican with conservative economic notions is the strongest on the economy, wouldn't that mean that Democrats would be terrible? I'm just following the logic. There the Clinton campaign goes again, trying to (for some odd reason) score points for the GOP.

No Way!! Barack is winning and will win!! NO VP for him! He will also never pick Hillary as VP. The Quickest way to lose my vote (and others) is to have her on the ticket!

In the last 24 hours Geraldine Ferraro (Hillary Clinton's surrogate) has suggested that Barack Obama has somehow benefitted from, for lack of a better word, "Political Affirmative Action." That because Sen. Obama is black that those of us that support him are just "caught up in the concept". This is how far this process has devolved. We have come to a point where Hillary Clinton's surrogates, Democrats so we are told, are reducing this to no more than a tired, OLD argument that we are voting for an unqualified candidate only because he is black.

If this was the general election I do not believe that the Republican candidate would stoop to such a level. Imagine the furor we would hear from the Clinton campaign if an Obama surrogate said the only reason people were supporting Hillary Clinton is because she is a woman.

Hillary should demand that Ms. Ferraro step down from her position in her campaign. Senator Obama has accepted the resignation of Samantha Power for calling Hillary a monster. The comment from Ms. Ferraro was further over the line than Ms. Power's and it is time for her to own it and resign.

This attempt to pull out any and all stops by the Clinton camp has certainly backfired. It has made both Hillary and Wolfson look like fools. And then we have G. Ferraro making a racist statement on top of that. Obama just needs to keep reminding Hillary who is in the lead in pledged delegates and the popular vote. Especially after Mississippi and then again and again after Pennsylvania. He will still be in the lead of delegates and popular vote going into North Carolina and Indiana and afterwards. gull, hoax, meddle, mess about, put one over on, string along, toy, tamper, tease, trick.
It seems by using only these two words continually, Mr. Obama is trying to send a subtle message.
