Hillary’s gender problem is not that she’s a woman, but rather that she’s not comfortable enough in her own skin to make judgments independent of the fact. We can’t trust anyone as commander in chief that feels they have to look tough because of their race or gender. That’s why Hillary chose to side with Bush and McCain on the war authorization vote, and that’s why she has to run this negative buzz-killer of a campaign alternating bellicosity and victimhood.

The argument that Barack wasn’t in the Senate at the time and would have voted to authorize the Iraq war is just laughable. He not only said it was a bad idea, he predicted the negative consequences that unfolded. You really think he would have voted for it anyway? It’s not like he would have been lonely. It wouldn’t have been just Barack and Dennis Kucinich voting no. After all those administration briefings and all the neocon propaganda, one out of four senators still recognized that this was a dumb idea and cast no votes. Hillary chose to go along with Bush and McCain and voted to authorize the use of our armed forces in Iraq.

So take your pick. Maybe all her experience and all her plans and all her husband’s great advice still weren’t enough to lead her to the right choice on the most critical foreign policy decision in a generation. In which case I’m not much interested in hearing any more about all of Hillary’s qualifications. It’s utterly worthless hype.

Or maybe she’s really as brilliant and experienced and insightful as her loyalists would have us believe. In that case she went to stand with the other three out of four senators, two-thirds of them Republicans, because she was afraid that as a woman and future presidential candidate she wouldn’t look tough enough. We desperately needed courageous leadership, and she showed us timidity and political cowardice of the worst sort when it really counted. Either way she fails the commander in chief test miserably. We need a leader with foresight who puts the best interests of the country first; not another round of self-serving political posturing.

Barack isn’t running to symbolize the culmination of the civil rights movement. While the success of his candidacy signals the end of a long road for many, Barack himself is running as a loyal American trying to help this country make a fresh start. The paleo-feminist Hillary loyalists want us to believe that Hillary is somehow the embodiment of womanhood, and the mere fact of her election would mean the end of gender inequality. Talk about delusional. The real fantasy is thinking that you can foist this vapid, padded pants-suit on the American public as a legitimate commander in chief.

Barack Obama has shown himself to be an excellent candidate with a bright future in American politics. With the country and the world where it is right now though, we need a leader who can unite the people, and that person is not Obama. His candidacy is more about a movement then it is about leadership, and those are distinct differences. A leader will have concrete and objective plans. A movement has vague notions coupled with rhetorical speeches. Obama is a movement type of a candidate, in other words, he sounds better then he really is. It is time for the Democrats to unite behind a candidate that can get the job done on Day #1, and that of course is Hillary Clinton. Hillary has the concrete plans to go along with her speeches that unite all Americans. She has had many successes, and some failure that she has learned from in the past. Obama has neither. Any presidency with Obama would be a academic and learning exercise for at least his first term. There probably would not be a second term for Obama. He's lead in the manner of a Jimmy Carter rather then a Bill Clinton. Hillary is really the only choice. Later this summer the super-delegates will realize that only Hillary can lead these nation. Barack's time will come, but not this time.

I have blogged since I first heard Hillary drop this Dream Ticket idea that I really thought she was planting this seed so that SHE could be HIS VP! The first time I heard it was last Wednesday - the morning AFTER Ohio and Texas where she DID NOT win by the HUGE margins necessary to make a sizable DENT in Obama's Pledged Delegate lead. She and Bill knew then that the MATH was against them. There was no way she could catch up. So they figured they would rather be VP than be the Jr. Senator from NY. But she COULDN'T come out and SAY that she wanted to be VP - so she and Bill and Lanny Davis and Ed Rendell and others came out en masse last week with this Dream Ticket idea. By her not categorically saying yesterday that she won't be VP only confirms this. As does Ed Rendell's statement of yesterday. I, for one, hope Obama does not choose her. He should go with Bill Richardson or John Edwards or someone else. Why would he want to saddle himself with Hillary and Bill and all of their 1990s baggage that the GOP is just salivating at the prospect of digging up?

Posting today from the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville. Bush is speaking here today. Tony Perkins and Dobson yesterday. In my business, I regularly cross paths with this wing of the Republican Pary and provide services in most election cycles to both parties. I try not to let on that I'm an Obama supporter.
Anyway, the theme here this year is "Just My Vote." That is what they are recommending for McCain. Just vote for him, but nothing else. No money, no workers. Just My Vote. They are asking folks to go ahead and contribute to and work for down ballot races, but if McCain wants anything more than votes, he has to ask for it and earn it.
Not a lot of Bush support here either. As a matter of fact, his speaking seems to be more of a burden because of all of the security precautions. I think most of the people here would rather he just go away now.
Anyway, not a lot of enthusiasm at this convention this year compared to previous years. Can only be a good sign for the Dems.

Obama actually netted a 13 delegate win last week. This talk by Clintonites about making the Popular Vote the deciding factor over Pledged Delegates won is yet another example of them trying to change the rules in the middle - actually the last quarter - of the game. The STRATEGY employed by each campaign - from Iowa on - was to accumulate the most DELEGATES - NOT POPULAR VOTE! WHY?? BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE RULES!! If the campaigns thought that the GOAL was to achieve the MOST POPULAR VOTES then the campaigns would have SKIPPED all the small, less populated states - like Iowa and NH - and gone straight to the highly populated states! But the RULES said the GOAL WAS DELEGATES - even MARK PENN and HAROLD ICKES are on record saying the name of the game is DELEGATES! That is, as long as they thought Hillary would win the most delegates. So each campaign set up THEIR STRATEGIES BASED ON THE DELEGATE RULE! The Party can argue the MERITS of this Delegate system - but NOT in the final quarter of THIS NOMINATING PROCESS! Whichever candidate has accumulated the most PLEDGED DELEGATES should have the advantage in getting the nomination. Of course, Obama leads in all three areas - Pledged Delegates, Popular Vote, and # of states won. And even with re-dos in FL and MI, it is unlikely these three areas will change. With a re-do Obama will no doubt receive most of the rather large vote that went to John Edwards in January. And when you factor in that in EVERY state where Obama CAMPAIGNS IN PERSON he closes - or OVERTAKES - Hillary's lead - there is a strong chance Obama will come very close to Hillary, or even beat her in both states. So after all is said and done, Obama will lead in all three areas and should be the nominee because in November he will win the BLUE states against McCain as well as many Purple and Red states - in the Midwest, South, and Southwest.

The news article stated Spitzer was moving money from "several accounts" to pay for the services he desired. Does anyone know if these accounts were personal accounts, or state funds accounts? If personal, why should that attract attention? The amount of money coming out was not much more than a monthly mortgage, so what do you think the real story is about finding him through tracking his transfers?

Barack Obama has been handling this so well because he's dealt with it his entire life.Let's look here, he's running against 3 Clinton's, John McCain, GWB, RNC, The MSM, none of them have been able to Reduce him to their level.That's why his supporter's know he'll make a gr8 POTUS.
I, like many of his supporter's have been amazed at his Resilency at the incoming fire from all angles.He does'nt have surragates out campaigning in every (Significant)state ahead of their primary.He does it all on his own, saying " Hey, I can handle This, I'm Used to It".
3 & 1/2 month's into the primary season, Hillary & her band of Illiterates(HP,J.Merle,Shutey, Patty) still can't tell us why they think Hillary should be POTUS. They only have the Smartelic remark's, which they love to Double post, for some reason.
I'm guessing that in 3-4 year's, Spitzer's wife will be running for New York's Govenor, since she is Now the Disgraced Wife who think's she can use that to her advantage.

In the State of Denial, Hillary has an Overwhelming Lead which Barack will have to have a Complete Mental breakdown(ala Hillary)to catchup before the Convention of the 12-14 states of Denial hold their Prozac Nomination.
