I have attended luncheons, parties, and other social events with caucasian co-workers. but I never felt that there was a real connection. While I was at that Obama rally, for the first time I felt a real connection. It made me feel really good, and for the first time, I felt proud to be an American. I am not saying that I hate this country, that has never been the case, I just never felt that I was completely a part of it. I say this because it appears that white america is extending its hands to black america whole heartedly. I finally felt embraced. It was beginning to seem as though racism was dying out, and was not as bad as I thought. But after witnessing all that the Clintons have been doing and the comments on this blog, I guess I was wrong. And I say this with a sincere sad heart. I almost feel like crying. Black people have always voted for white people, but the moment we vote for another black person, it is called racism. Does that seem fair to you. Since white americans out number black americans, probably half of his votes are from blacks and the other half from whites when you look at the actual numbers. I guess I was bamboozled. I thought America was changing. But, I do want to thank the white americans who have seen past the color of our skin and see what we are truly capable of doing.

The Ferraro back and forth

The Democratic party is looking less and less like a political party, and more and more like a Jerry Springer party. Let me prove it---check out the record below.

Who's the best? Obama's the best. Take a look you sad Clintonites and you'll see that Obama did more in 8 months then most senators do in a lifetime of service. That's the kind of president I want working for me.

The following information gathered from the Library of Congress on the Legislative experience Junior Senator Hillary Clinton and Junior Senator Barack Obama. Please Feel free to check these records for yourself and draw your own conclusion.

Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term, which is 6 years and another year campaigning, has authored and passed 20 twenty pieces of legislation in her term of six years into law. These bills can be found at (wwwthomas.loc.gov). Senator Clinton has passed.

(1) Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
(2) Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month.
(3) Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
(4) Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
(5) Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
(6) Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.
(7) Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
(8) Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day.
(9) Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death.
(10) Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
(11) Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship.
(12) Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program.
(13) Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
(14) Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death.
(15) Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty.

Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive.
(16) Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11.
(17) Pay for city projects in response to 9/11
(18) Assist landmine victims in other countries.
(19) Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care.
(20) Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

She has a nice list, but note that these are The Fact's straight from the Senate Record; Therefore, it is not made up.

Now, It is time to post Senator Obama's record from the Library of Congress.I have to mention that Senator Obama's list is too substantive, one is coalesced to categorize. Since its alot, remember you can go to the Library of Congress website, and check it out yourself, but I am just summarizing his first 8 months.

During Senator Obama's first 8 eight months of elected service he sponsored over 820 bills.

He introduced 233 bills regarding healthcare reform,
125 bills on poverty and public assistance,
112 bills on crime fighting,
97 economic bills,
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,
21 ethics reform bills,
15 gun control,
6 veterans affairs and many others.
In his first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included:
(1)the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 that became LAW,
(2)The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act that became LAW, (3)The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act that passed the Senate,
(4)The 2007 Government Ethics Bill that became LAW,
(5)The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill that is in committee just to name a few.

In all since he entered the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no legislative record. Read the facts and not emotion.

The Ferraro back and forth

I agree with Senator Obama's sentiments that the facts indicate that Ms. Ferraro's statements are indeed absurd. I dont think however that Ms. Ferrero should be forced out of the campaign, just like I didnt think the Clinton campaign should of demanded the resignation of Samantha Power for a comment she intended to be 'of the record'. And in fact from the above-referenced quotations, it does not appear that the Obama campaign is asking that she be removed only that her riduculus statements be denounced. This just continues to show her lack of morals, of cousre i am just one of the foolish voters from one the small states that do not exist according to her team. Just remember one day she might need us nobodys but then we will be important again. If we fall for her back stabbing attitude then we are as stupid as she thinks we are. what would be foolish would be putting faith in her promises tho fix all the problems she says she will fix, becouse she will need rupublicans and those unimportant democrates in congress to get things done. Unless you have a magic wand you need unity in the party and she doesnt understand this and will never have this. I mean, that's--you know, there is not basis for that. You know, I take her on the basis of what she says. There is a double standard. A lesser known white man running against Hillary Clinton would have lost a long time ago. A black man running against Hillary Clinton, technically, should be DOA too.

Open message to the voters of Pennsylvania. If that were true, than how can these two facts also be true. 90% of Predominately black cities have black politicians, and are also democrat. Also note that 90% of predominately white cities have white politicians and are republican. Make no mistake I do not fully agree with Geraldine Ferraro, but is she really all wrong. We are talking about a man who before the 2004 DNC, nobody and I mean nobody had ever heard of. He has had all of 2 succesful acts to pass congress. So what makes him so popular? He hasn't been in politics long enough to fully know the rules of the game. His popularity stems from the fact that..., yes he is a young black man, trying to accomplish a feat that has never been accomplished before. He also sounds really good saying it.All this being said I do admire Barack Obama the man. However I have not seen enogh of Barack Obama the politician to trust him. In this case I do think that Hilary is the better man for the job. Besides wouldn't it be great to be able to call Bill Clinton the first Lady.

The Ferraro back and forth

WHAT??!!! Hillary "stood by her man" after his affairs, blaming the republicans for exposing the whole story. Her objective all along has been trying to look good & honest to win the nomination for president. The Clintons are very wealthy, power hungry people. What's annoying is that she talks about necessary changes needed for health care and prescription drugs. During Bills white house years, one of Hillary's projects was to be working on the health care issue but nothing was accomplished in 8 long years. She is very good at putting the blame on someone else.

The Ferraro back and forth

By the same taken Ms Ferraro if Obama got where he is today because of his race then 'the inexperienced experience' Hillary got where she is because of Bill and the fact she was first lady. Can you beat this one? Her real experience was a good speech she gave in China. Betcha she will not ask Ms Ferraro to resign? I’m really not trying to be a smart guy and do actually understand the value and agree with wanting feminine representation, and to include truly fair treatment for those women who do run, yet should the loyalty be blind protection and include someone who simply doesn’t deserve? There are qualities women process which are assets for public office, for both in their performance and in benefit for their constituents, but Hillary simply doesn’t demonstrate them. Maybe not a monster but just saying it is because she is belligerently tough and men just can’t accept that isn’t accurate either. Look at her history and you will see considerably more aggressive and combative outbursts than conciliatory or considerate gestures. She literally is far more divisive than she is a negotiator. The sensitivity, intuition and understanding that you might expect all seem to be consistently missing and then everything always seems to be just obstinately about her. Isn’t it reasonable that there is sound basis for the strong feelings, and yes even the dislike, of Senator Clinton? I really suspect that her personality, a strong sociopathic personality like GWB I might add, has far more to do with it than her gender. I would really hate to see her defended for the feminist cause with the result being that we end up with the wrong candidate.

The Ferraro back and forth

Come on people! Forget the color. Forget the gender. Forget your selfish issues. Even forget which party. Start thinking about character and decide on the person who has the integrity, the honesty, the compassion, the strength of conviction, the discipline of conscience and the humility (yes humility, which is needed to reach others, to be real and to get things done), all of the qualities that are needed and that you want representing you. Remember what we got and what has happened over the last seven plus years when we didn't demand those qualities!

The Ferraro back and forth

Hillary Clinton continues to lose ugly.
