OBAMA’S WIN IN MISSISSIPPI.With 99% of precincts reporting, Obama defeated Clinton, 61%-37% (253,441 to 154,842). Since 1992 we all know Hillary has the highest negatives but everytime she looks like she has been put in a corner they drop and people ruah into help the poor thing. Their campaign has been using this tactic for the whole race.
Her rivals find it impossible to combat; should they look like they are attacking her they only add fuel to the fire. She how ever can be a pyton or pitbull attacking with out fear of being attacked back and the media goes right along with it. Even attacks that were not overtly racist in nature caused a dramatic change in perspective among African-Americans.

While Obama receives substantial majority votes from white voters in states from Wyoming to Connecticut, he struggles to receive a majority from white voters in states of the "Deep South." But when you examine the results among younger voters, Obama consistently receives a majority among white voters, even here in the "Deep South." It shows we have come a long way. It also shows thar Obama's success among all voters is due to his leadership, judgement and character and it is not about race.

Finally, it must be noted that Obama never asks people to vote for him because of his race, while Hillary asks people to vote for her because of her gender.

Obama's win in Mississippi

LOVE the first comment...here, here!!!

Obama's win in Mississippi

I find it interesting that Hillary recieved the support in MS from 75% of Republicans. Maybe that explains why the demographics were the way they were. Seems that they were trying to play in the democratic primary. Of course that destroys the storyline that you guys want to give...racial divide...so you don't report that nuggett. Do you think these Republicans would actually vote for Hillary under normal circumstances? NOT.

Obama's win in Mississippi

-----------------------------------------------------
Geraldine Ferraro is TYPICAL of the Hillary Campaign tactics.
----------------------------------------------------

Obama's win in Mississippi

Personally I am sick of this storylins about women over 50 being upset if Hillary doesn't win. I'm over 50 a woman, white and I wouldn't vote for her if she was the last person alive...That goes for all of my friends. We find the woman deplorable. Maybe you should move this number up to 65+ there maybe some truth in that.

Obama's win in Mississippi

Bravo. Well analyzed and spoken.

Obama's win in Mississippi

Geraldine Ferraro. 15 minutes of fame nearly a quarter of a century ago. Couldn't get out from under the shadow of her old man. Trying to be relevant today. It's over, Gerry!

Obama's win in Mississippi

The win in Mississippi is great, congratulations Senator Obama.

As an over 60 white woman I am disgusted with the likes of Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton and their views on race and gender. Neither has demonstrated the what I think makes on a good leader; integrity, self-awareness, statesmanship, collaboration, vision, intellectual honesty and principles-based behavior.

I believe practicing gender discrimination is bad, whether done by a woman or a male. It's no more justified, or forgivable than racism, religious intolerance or any other "My group is more deserving than that one" mentality.

This isn't rocket science. And I'm not unique in wanting more from American leaders that we've received in decades. People and nations deserve leaders that bring out our best. Leaders who play to our darker impulses only take us down.

That's why HRC will never win my vote or my support.

Obama's win in Mississippi

It seems to me that we have a candidate who is winning Independent and moderate republican voters in Red states.
It seems to me we have a candidate who is bringing in new and enthusiastic young voters.
It seems to me we have a candidate who because of his appeal to African American voters may be able to take a southern state or two that haven't been in play for Democrats for 40 years.
It seems to me that this perfect storm of a candidacy could provide a huge lansdlide victory in November and offer DEM congressional candidates coattails the size of a table cloth.
The only thing we have to do as Democrats to achieve this is to vote for the nominee of the party and not engage in this "I'll vote for McCain if my candidate loses" crap.
This party has shown time and time again that it is capable of screwing up a wet dream.
Lets not do that this time.
Think! Exit polls revealed once again an emerging racial divide that has opened in the Democratic party between whites who tend by healthy margins to favor Clinton and blacks who overwhelmingly favor Obama. African Americans comprised nearly half of the Democratic vote in Mississippi — and 90% of those voters, according to exit polls, pulled the lever for Obama, his strongest showing yet among African Americans. But Obama did poorly among whites, winning only 30%, according to exit polls. While this split was visible in Alabama and the border state of Tennessee earlier this year, it was visible in Ohio's primary last week, too.

________________________________________________--
Do you have anymore votes now Barack? For a black person to get ahead in America, they have to be twice as good as the white person-I see it in schools, in sports, and in politics.
Democrats should see that Hillary would never win the presidency because I, like all of my white women friends, would vote for McCain or Nader rather than see her and Bill in the White House again. Obama is a unifying force in our country.

Obama's win in Mississippi

I'm no jock, but they DO say in sports, "Awin is a win, no matter how it happens."

Obama's win in Mississippi

I am not an American, but I have been following the U.S Presidential primaries since it began. Obama.

It is not only America that needs a change, I believe the whole World need a change, because it seems the whole world didn't realised that if American economy is not doing very well, it will affect the whole world, if the American dollar depreciate, it would also have an enourmous effects in the World economy.

Please I would like all Americans to cast their vote for this gentle man Sen. B. Obama He is the man that can answer that 3 am phone call in the white house.

Sen. Clinton, should go back home and retires with her husband. Hillary is not a racist and her record shows it. What about Obama??She helped Latinos and blacks with health care and child education as well as whites. Obama went to a black neighborhood so he could start building for his political runs.he was helping Resko dupe peopl in the slum Resko rented to. because he needed Resko and sure enough Resko came across for him time and time again. This isnt over by a long way.Obama may be named and summoned from this trial. Maybe this is why Obama says he cannt wait has to get pres. now.It wont save ya bro.Obama wouldnt live in one of Resko places but didnt do anything to help those people. The Iraq Auchi had a son .Wasnt he Obamas ade for a bit??Did Obamas wife recuse herself when papers to devide the property Resko helped with came to her office. She sat on the board that gave permission for property devision. It would be illegal if she did the dividing so it is a legitamate question. But lets cloud all this with whineing race.Keep peoples eyes somewhere else.Obama is a very coniving and calcaluated person.

Obama's win in Mississippi

If Hillary was ahead by 100 delegates she and her campaign managers would be screaming for Obama to pull out of the race. That's playing heavily into FLAWED ASSUMPTIONS that constitute the remnants of racism in this country and that is what Clinton is attempting to manipulate which Is really and truly quite despicable. Clinton is counting on both less educated and overly entitled ruling class whites to fall for the holier thatn though side of the race card. The only good to come out of this 'ugly head' rising in our countires politics is for it to be cut off!

'Thirty Something' is quite correct in the realization that the Clintons are being devious, attempting to ignite an explosive emotional reaction that will keep hr in the race by leveraging key states with demographics her team feels can be manipulated. At the saem time Clinton is downplaying the role of voting blocks like Missippi in the election..which winds up reinforcing the racial disenfracnhisement historically experienced by African Americans. They are both devious and clumsy in the all out attempt to gain power. I think that truth bears itself out by attracting more of the same and deception begetts more deception, so much so, that lots of people are looking at Clinton increasingly confused by the conflicting approaches and chatter. It's all really a sing of how desperate they are. It's great that a woman can run for president but anyone not seeing how bad she could potentially be based on the behaviour during this election doesn't need Clintons nonsense to confuse them, they are confused without the extra BS.

Obama's win in Mississippi

If Hillary was ahead by 100 delegates she and her campaign managers would be screaming for Obama to pull out of the race. Telling.

Obama is unelectable.

If you can't win in states like Ohio, you can't win the Presidency. In Ohio, Obama outspent Hillary 3 to 1 yet won only 5 out of 88 counties in Ohio. Ouch.

Hillary has proven she can win big in the big states that are the must wins for the Dems in November. It's that simple.

Hillary is the strongest, most electable candidate in the race.

It's time for Obama to exit the race. He's dividing the party and damaging our chances for victory in November.

Follow the money trail. Who is funding Obama and why? Why is Obama deriding a fellow Dem Past President Bill Clinton? It's unwarranted and disgusting.

Obama is the one who has interjected race and sexism continually into this campaign. Shame on Obama.

Geraldine Ferraro speaks the truth. Some people just can't handle it. She's not a racist, she's just giving people the facts. She has absolutely nothing to apologize for.
