Tony Rezko is nothing... Obama spent 90 minutes w/ the Chicago Tribune and 90 minutes w/ the Chicago Sun Times and answered all their questions - plus provided documentation. Both papers reached the same conclusion - "there's no there there" and that the level of transparency would be something that the two other candidates (Clinton and McCain) would do well to emulate.

'...For once, Florida chaos did not drag on endlessly as the state's Democratic Party put a surprising end to the re-vote saga by deciding to hold no do-over primary. The party chair Karen Thurman released a statement announcing this unexpected move, and here are some excerpts:

We spent the weekend reviewing your messages, and while your reasons vary widely, the consensus is clear: Florida doesn't want to vote again.

So we won't...

This doesn't mean that Democrats are giving up on Florida voters. It means that a solution will have to come from the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee, which is scheduled to meet again in April.

Thurman is transferring the pressure to find a resolution to the crisis to the DNC. This means that the state party is still determined to push to gets its delegates seated even without a new vote. We already know that this Committee will decide nothing in April and that the matter will be postponed to the summer. But we can already say that the Florida delegates cannot be seated if the Obama campaign does not want them to be, and if Clinton unexpectedly has the votes to impose her will, it probably means she has the votes to win the nomination.

This is thus first and foremost a crushing blow to Hillary's chances. (1) To catch up with Obama and his impressive delegate lead, she needs as large a reservoir of uncommitted delegates as possible, and there simply is not enough in the upcoming states to allow her to significantly cut into his lead -- which is why she was hoping that Florida and Michigan would be added to the mix. (2) This also takes away Clinton's hope of building momentum into the summer. Without Florida (and perhaps without Michigan), whatever momentum she rides will come out of April 22nd and May 6th, with a series of smaller states in the subsequent weeks. Not the most ideal calendar to get your groove back. (3) Perhaps most importantly, this makes it very difficult for Clinton to win the popular vote -- which she was hoping to be able to do if she won Pennsylvania on April 22nd and re-votes in Michigan and Florida. This would have allowed her to make a much stronger appeal to superdelegates....'

Last time I checked, there was a separation of church and state. What Rev. Wright said was for the most part, true. How he said it was the problem. So according to Obama Rev Wright's anger is OUR fault? And we need to look beyond that and give him a pass for associating with this hate monger b/c his anger is real and America is to blame? He just wants out of this by saying let's move on. America won't move on from this. The media might, but America will not. He takes no responsibility for his actions other than to make it about "Race in America" and that makes it ok. Playing on the white guilt. EVeryone should read the piece in the WSJ today about Obama being a bargainer and the okie doke he is doing on America. THE most intelligent pice on why Obama has gotten where he has. The media said this had the potential to derail. It DID derail him.

OBAMA is DONE... OVER and FINISHED. When you loose TRUST with the American people, it is VERY difficult to get this back... if at all.

TRUST is the single value Americas really care about and NEED now most. HOPE does not pay my bills; car insurance, mortgage, health insurance..

Judging from the tone of the responses, Slick Willie and Hillary should be proud. Their subtle (sometimes not so subtle) introduction of race into the campaign appears to have worked. Read the comments on this blog and see if many of them don't appear to be purely racist and bigotted remarks.

And where is the next primary? Right - Pennsylvania. The home of Ed ( a black man can't win) Rendell. That is a real Democrat for you.

Am I weird? I am white and I didn't see anything that bad in Rev. Wright's clips. It seems to me a pastor should hold society accountable for its actions. We did bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki, after all, and Black people in America endured slavery and discrimination for decades. These are just facts. I don't see how ignoring the truth is patriotic.
