It just amazing folks. Clinton keeps criticizing Obama stating that Speeches are not enough yet she keeps announcing 'major speeches'. Also fact checks on her so-called exprience have only a speech she gave in Beijing still standing.

So speeches matter only when given by the Clintons, right?

You know, I'll never forget the clip of Hillary Clinton making fun of Barack Obama's speeches.

It's too bad there is no record of SENATOR Clinton giving a speech as to why it would be against everything America stands for as to why we shouldn't INVADE Iraq.

Yet Bill Clinton keeps talking about the patriotism of John McCain and Hillary Clinton.

Evidently he has a different interpretation than I do of what exactly being the United States of America means. What we're supposed to stand for - what we're supposed to represent.

As a young woman, I am proud to have a qualified and viable woman running for President. It's about time. America is a leader in the world, yet other countries have had women Presidents and Prime Ministers (e.g. England, Pakistan, Israel, Argentina, Philippines, India, etc.).

American women were given the right to vote in 1920, after a long struggle. A few women have attempted to run for President, without success. We now have a strong and viable candidate in Hillary. It’s a tough job running for President. For a woman, it’s even tougher.

Let's support Senator Clinton and make history by electing her the FIRST WOMAN President of the US. A woman President will be CHANGE. We may not get this chance again for many years.

Today's speech on the economy is an example of what Hillary badly needs to do. Except that she needs to do it with a lot more passion and importance. It needs to be positioned as a "major policy declaration" and delivered in a major venue. If she does it right, it could become the cornerstone of her campaign, much as Obama's "race" speech has become his cornerstone. A week later, people are still talking about that speech. That is the kind of reaction that Hillary really needs if she hopes to turn the race around.

What Hillary doesn't need is a "soundbite" speech which doesn't present a genuine, personal, "from the heart" point-of-view. We don't need to hear anything more referring to "on day one", a discussion of a universal health plan which we know she is for or another recitation of how she is going to bring the troops home. They don't provide any news value or help to strengthen her argument as to why she is the best candidate. We need to see Hillary looking like and acting like the next President.

Patty, although you generally are "crust deep" I've never noticed you as racist before.....Could Hillary Clinton have beeen at home this past weekend thinking about her chances, hearing from "party elders" and worrying about her image and future standing in the party? As entitled as she feels, as unwilling as she is to ever stop fighting, she is not stupid. It's hard to imagine her ever seeing a path to a nomination that would be anything beyond an awfully pyric victory. Imagine her standing with the party, the electorate and the press if she were to step out for her party and "the country's sake" to do her all to get a Democrat in the White House. Imagine the unity she could engender with a positive, supportive and rousing speech (with Obama at her side?). This would be the time for such an action... before PA. If she wins PA in a big way Obama supporters will claim backlash from Rev. Wright & that this could last thru No. Carolina & Indiana, but that he'll have plenty of time to recover before November. She cannot pass him in delegate count, and I bet she's exhausted. A move like this would cement her leadership role in the party, at the convention and in the Democratic controlled Senate. What scares me is that some of us(Democrats - gender nor race trumps the dact that we are Democrats at heart) are planning to sit out or vote for McCain if our candidate does not win the nomination. EVERYONE, before you reply.... Take a step back and think about what you are saying. I have come to the realization that I do not want to see more troops die in Iraq. I could care less who voted for the war, or what the heck someone's pastor has to say. OUR Democratic candidate (whomever they shall be) will be the better OPTION in the general election.
