From NBC's Chuck ToddAs expected, one of the two major Democratic candidates saw a downturn in the latest NBC/WSJ poll, but it's not the candidate that you think. Hillary Clinton is sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. This poll shows Obama as the great uniter still. I can't imagin how someone who sat in a congretion under Rev. Wright for 20years, was married by him, and had his kids baptized by him, could possible unite this country. Obama can do damage control all he wants, but you cannot change the fact he was under this man's leadership for 20 years. If you didn't agree with what someone had to say, you wouldn't sit and listen to it for 20 years, simple as that. Obama's "mentor" spews antiAmerican and racist speach. Uniters normally aren't people who call a known racist and anti-American person be their "mentor". This country will get nowhere by oppressing ourselves which is what people like Rev.Wright do. And it all comes back to Obama's 20 year relationship with him. I wanted to believe in Obama as much as anyone else but the problem is his history with this man and church, and his actions. He gives speaches on how the wealthy need to give to the poor. His tax return indicates he: a-barely gives for his income level and b-doens't even give to the poor at that. His largest donations were to Rev. Wright's church, a dance compnay and the Congressional Black Caucus! He and his wife portray this history of struggle. Their lowest joint income was $240,000! That's about $200,000 above the average American... oh but they couldn't pay their student loans... right... Please explain what numbers in the data support your contention that “voters still would like to know more about Obama”. I find it amazing that you can interpret quantitative data like poll numbers to represent anything other than the poll question asked. You might as well be reading tea leaves. “…that is both an opportunity and a potential obstacle.”, so you are inferring that the more people learn about Obama, the more his unfavorable number will go up? Again, you seem to be pursuing an agenda that is not aligned with the polling data. In short, I’m saying that rather than tell readers what their interpretations of the data should be based on your own bias, how about leaving that up to them?

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

Here we go again with the Pro-Obama Network.

Rasmussen Reports which is most reliable because it is a complete tracking poll:

Obama

Favorable 46%
Unfavorable 51%

http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/overall_favorable_ratings_for_presidential_candidates

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

We have a History Channel, but no one has learned from watching it.The world, the United States, continue to fight, rape, and pillage. It was only a matter of time before people realised who was the main cause of the disunity in the Democratic party. Her "win-at-all-costs strategy which included just stopping short of endorsing John McCain, (she said both her and JOHN McCAIN would be ready on day 1-Obama wouldn't thereby bolstering a Republican at the expense of a fellow Democrat), then soliciting Obama as a vice-presidential running mate (Mr. "not ready on day 1") rightfully made her come out looking like the most confused and disoriented of the bunch. I understand that in a political campaign things get said and done by aides and supporters that aren't "necessarily" supported by their respective candidates, and therefore we can't hold the candidates directly responsible for them, (although it's easier to do so if they don't seek immediately to denounce and distance themselves from the remarks), however things said and done by the candidates are their responsibility, thus they can be held directly responsible for those. If Hillary feels so confident about a John McCain presidency then perhaps she doesn't really care about ending the war in Iraq, reforming health care, or ending tax cuts for big business/ wealthy 1 percenter's- things that define today's Democrats. This now raises the question of her dedication to the party for it seems that for Hillary it's more important that Hillary wins in November than it is that the Democratic party wins in November. I've never heard of a Republican candidate supporting a Democratic candidate at the expense of a fellow Republican (even Romney and Huckabee didn't go that far).

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

More BS from the obama network...Get a job Todd!!!Other polls show diff results..

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

Interesting numbers. Wright and just as I suspected, the "sound bites" that have been floating around the internet and played and replayed on the news were taken out of context. You need to hear the entire speech in order to make an informed decision. There was a message in that sermon that EVERYONE should hear. I happen to agree with quite a few of the things that Rev. Wright said during that sermon, one of which--and he was quoting someone else when he said that America's chickens have come home to roost--is the fact that America has ALWAYS done dirt on foreign soil in order to have the almighty buck go the way they want it. WE created Osama Bin Laden when we helped him and his rebels fight in Afghanastan against the Russians during the cold war, or did we forget that? Would it also surprise people to know that those caves we "lost him in" when we invaded Afghanastan "looking" for him, we helped HIM and his rebels DIG those freaking caves. So you mean to tell me we can't find him in caves our troops helped him dig???? WTF??? So yeah, when you do dirt, you will eventually get dirty.

My opinion of Barrack H. That Wright fiasco can properly be compared to a White presidential candidate hobnobbing with the local Klan's chief Wizzard and attending monthly Klan Meetings.

Also a lot of Americans will recall those many politicians, public figures -- hounded out of office, forced to resign or lose their jobs -- because of a perceived slight, insult or joke as offensive to Blacks. His reputation as both a Liar and Closet Racist having been ensured.

As to Lying Hillary -- Hillary, like hubby Bill, is a pathological liar who would force her daughter to whore for a Black inner-city pimp if it would gain the White House for Hillary. Wright issue head-on. He did so with a well received speech and has not ducked questions about this issue. He condemned Wright's comments but would not throw the man under the bus for making some terrible comments and mistakes. People appreciated that. The fact that someone can be constructively criticized yet also noted and forgiven for their good works. "That is how you bring people together"!! If a person has good in them along with some bad you don't ostracize them. You stick with them and show them the light and hope they can grow. If not then they will do themselves in. Obama knows this and has this knoeldge and sensitivity that you must give people the opportunity to change their ways or to make things better then what they were. Imagine if any voter or blogger here had never been forgiven and/or given another opportunity to redeem themselves. It would be a sad world indeed.

Hillary on the other hand continues to embellish her background. She won't meet controversy head-on but rather tries to skirt around those negative issues that she is confronted with. Her camp attacked a well liked person in Bill Richardson when Carvelle called him a Judas, and once again Bill is hurting her campiagn more so then helping it. Obama makes errors, he is human, but he always seems to come back with honesty and always meets the challenges head-on without skirting the issues or taking responsibility for miscues. Hillary on the other hand attempts to avoid her errors or to sidestep them or to excuse them with comments that make the situation worse. There are many articles and comments out there that show Hillary has a problem (past and present) with sharing the truth or speaking directly and openly about many issues and her negatives are reflecting this.

Hillary is her own worst enemy. Proof of this has been the last several days where Obama remains on the sidelines in the Virgin Islands leaving Hillary and her camp all to their own on the campaign trail. Yet even in his absence Hillary could not take advantage. She continued to attack Obama with a prepared coment about Rev. Wright, and failed to be honest on a the stupid but showing issue of Bosnia. And Bill kept putting his foot in his mouth.

No wonder her negatives have gone up and her positives down.

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

The double standard being applied to Obama is deafening in this election. I understand that Wrights comments were awful, but they were not Obama's comments. In Hillary's case, she has pushed her experience as the mainstay of her campaign and the main reason she should win out over Obama. She has also denegrated him for "plagerizing" his "just words" speech. She has rode him into the ground on the Rev Wright issue. Yet in her camp, she has out and out lied about her experience in Bosnia and Ireland, repeatedly, and calls it just a mistake. One time, shame on you , two times (or more in her case), shame on the rest of us. If she is going to hold Obama to such a high standard about the honesty of his words....well, she can't just yell "misspoke" when she repeatedly chooses to misspeak over and over again. Then there is the Geraldine Ferraro comparison. Hillary's comments were simply that she didn't agree with Ferraro's statements. She didn't disown her or disassociate with her, yet that is what she calls Obama to do in the case of his Pastor. On top of that, at least we have not heard Wright on every news channel he could get on spewing new comments about how he didn't regret any of what he said or claiming victim himself, which is what Ferraro did.

Get over it Clintons, and yes, they are both running. This election is just a backwards way for Bill to get back in the White House. I heard a Hillary supporter on MSNBC get all upset when someone made a comment about the "Clinton's" running, he said "the Clinton's are not running, Hillary is!" Then the next day on MSNBC there is a spot of Bill campaining, he says in regards to dropping out of the race "many people have come up to me and said Bill, don't quit, I tell them we won't, unless you haven't noticed we don't have much quit in our family." Sounds like a Obama is running against both of them to me, right out of Bill's mouth. But, oh yeah, I forgot, it's okay to say if the Clinton's say it...just not the rest of the world. Like I said, double standard, period.

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

Ill try again since you won't carry my analysis of your fake poll of 700 people loaded with African americans....Perhaps you should include those statistics. Wright to counsel Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky drama. I guess the Rev. was good enough to counsel the "I didn't have sex with that woman President" but his reputation is now a topic for her to condemn Mr. Obama about. Since his statements are at least 5 or more years old and based on his own ignorance, I don't see Mrs. Clinton's or Mr. McCain's pastors receiving such scrutiny as to their statements or mistatements as Mr. Obama's former pastor. Right is Right! If you are going to hold one man accountable for the misstatements of another, let's open up the vaults for the other campaign participants' pastors as well. It is a double standard that the media (TV, Radio and Newspapers combined) has created in an already divisive nation of racists. As the world watches how down and dirty they can get, it will only hurt us and our children who are watching our lead in the end!

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

I disagree, polls are often wrong as this one is. Obama sat under a racist and was so impressed with his teachings that he wrote a book using much of what Wright said, even th etitle was a direct quote from Wright. The reason it seems Hillary has taken a bigger hit is this is the first big blow of behind the phony facade of Obama and he hasn't been around the political media battlefied as much as Hillary has. Ths is just the beginning of finding out more about the racist background of Obama and his fans are not used to it but that will soon change as we gather more info. Recent poll showed Hillary Clinton coming in more favorably than Obama, this after his "typical white person" remark on radio. Only yesterday a poll released saying if Clinton was not the nominee, 28% of her supporters would vote for McCain; if Obama was not the nominee, 19% of his supporters would vote for McCain. Now, who do you think the Democratic Party should back? The candidate who will lose them only 19% of their independents or 28% of their independents? Sounds to me like if they make Obama the nominee, McCain will have a much better chance of winning: McCain believes it, too, as he tries to attack Obama and ignore Clinton in order to get people used to the slate he wants to see. Is that what the media is doing as well?

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

Why even spend all the money for an election when polls and the media already have the outcome all wrapped up?

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

The only voters o'bama will unite are those who have never heard of the rev Wright or know anything about Black liberation Theology...all of which you have never told them what the doctrine of that Church teaches.......and for 20 years O'bama has sat there and been "indoctrinated" and "baptized".He is not a believer in a religion that unites.

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

I think Obama is the leader this country has been seeking for at least twenty years. I would vote for him in a New Yrk second, but I will never vote for that lying, hypocritical, dishonest ****, Hilary Clinton. If she somehow obtains the nomination, I will vote straight Republlican to punis the Democrats for being so stupid as to nominte this crook.

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

I would just like to say every since this has started i have been unemployed. I am a Afro-American woman 50 years old that is just so sick of this country and the way they do things. I know i am going to be considered unpatriotic which is the new term if you do not agree with the status quo but i think we have some real issues that no one is looking at. Employment, poverty h.i.v. I almost dispise Hillary Clinton she has caused this to be one of the most devisive and underhanded races to ever be and they say it is always like this i do not beleive it . You all know your self if the situation was reversed meaning she had more pledge delegates she would be out . I know what is going to happen they are going to keep this up until everyone get sick of it or give it to her or John Mcain wins guess what we all loose no matter who wins. You all have disefranchise as you call it a new generation great. I for one will never vote again and neither will a great number of people i know since it does not matter how. I feel sorry for Obama he had the audacity to hope in this country. I see why his pastor feels this way look at how we do thing and the sad thing is you know it and do not care. I am afraid we all loose as i said, Bravo you have suceeded once agin only this time as never befor to disenfranchise blacks all over this country as well as latinos spanish etc. Lesson unlearned. Once this is over Hillary Clinton should never show her face again. It is clear to me she does not care one way or the other and after all she is already rich she should have been stoped early on in this race. and If Obama would have done or used these tactics he would have been disqualified so why do you not just go ahead and disqualify him now. Blacks are sick of it all accept those select few of black commentator that do not want to jepordize their jobs. or books one for example Larry Elder please stop talking to him he is an idiot and has a identity crisis. Poor Ophrah i been reading these blogs all she has done for a lot of people of all kind and she is being wish dead. They dont care what they say in this campaing i am not taking up for Obama but i do not like the way the media is portraying him and the way that he is being done is how they do blacks all over this country in the workplace iknow not just when you go for a top job period. This is just showing young people that fairness is not an option in this country and never will be. Hillary calls this a spirited campaign no i call it two republican's running against a nigger and i know you want as you will not print it or approve it but who ever decides it will you just think about it.

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

Chris,
You really got to stop quoting these biased polling and making a big deal out of it. Guess what? Obama is having it both ways. People are scared to say antthing negative in fear of being branded as racist. Why is it that any Obama guffaw is a distraction while any mistep by Clinton is a major headline. Please do some meaningful polling and stop this nonsense at NBC and MSNBC. It is so obvious that you are all pro-Obama. Tim Russert used to be my favorite and now I just cannot looking at him on TV. One thing you are not realizing is, you've lost credibility.

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

This is bullshit you assholes get your bloody comments and critizism together. New Yorkers were desperately focused on their own needs for protection and they were saddled with a Senator who was not one of them -- an Arkansasn or was it a Chicagoan?

Interviewed on the "Today" show one week after 9/11, she spun an elaborate yarn. The kindest thing we could say was that it was a fantasy. Or a fabrication.

She said that Chelsea was jogging around the World Trade Center on 9/11 and happened to duck into a coffee shop when the airplanes hit. She said that this move saved Chelsea's life. But Chelsea told Talk magazine that she was in a friend's apartment four miles from ground zero when the first plane hit. Her friend called her, waking her up, and told her to turn on the TV. On television, she saw the second plane hit, disproving Hillary's claim that "she heard the plane hit. She heard it. She did."

So why did Hillary make up the story about Chelsea? Most likely to was because her co-senator (and implicit rival for the voter's affection), a real New Yorker Chuck Schumer spoke of his daughter, who attended Stuyvesant High School (Dick's alma mater) located next to the TRade Center, being at real risk on 9/11. Hillary needed to make herself part of the scene.

She invented the entire story on national television, the "Today" show, and didn't blink an eye.

Her fabrication on the "Today" show was no unique foray. It is her standard M.O.. It gives us pause in evaluating all of her stories and calls into question her entire credibility.

The woman just stands and LIE, LIE LIE.
We should not let her get away with this.
we do nit want this in the white house, she will sell us all out.
HRC is just a BIG FAT LIAR.......

Obama '08

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

I started out really admiring Hilary Clinton. I cannot seem to tear myself away from watching it, and absolutely believe that Barack Obama will be the best leader of our country. As a result of the media's feeding frenzy and polarization on this, I think that we are all going to suffer from some "syndrome" when it's over because of the drama/trauma of it all. The more this goes on, the less I believe in the democrats as a party, an organization. Where is Howard Dean? He's a complete wimp, in my opinion. He should never have let this get out of hand this way. A democratic defeat in '08 would be the end of the party as we know it, that's for sure, and on his watch. Last word, Hillary is the scaariest thing that could ever happen to this country. She's a liar, and has been since we've known her. How can people mot see that?

NBC-WSJ poll: New Clinton lows

Why would people even vote for Hillary?
