Voters should write letters and emails similar in tone asking the signees of that letter to clarify their comments, you know, as supporters of their various companies and ventures.

Here is my response. If Hillary Clinton gets the nomination the I will NEVER donate another cent to the DCCC or its senate counterpart. I will NEVER donate another cent to the DNC and I will not only vote for McCain but I will vote Republican for every single race down the ballot (all the way down to County Council). That is an absolute fact. If Hillary Clinton steals the nomination there is absolutely no way at all that I will vote for a Democrat for any race in November.

Are these the same big donors who can't keep up with the Clinton campaign's runaway spending? They ought to focus their criticisms where they are due - on the candidate they support, who has built an organization that has only proved to be a fiscal and strategic disaster.

Clinton thinks the government should buy-off bad subprime loans? Um, buying those loans in huge bundles is part of what's caused this mess and required bailouts. I'm all for easing the pain of borrowers who were trapped by malicious lenders, but putting the government into a proven-to-be disastrous area of speculation seems guaranteed to end in disaster.

Oh, and another thing: for disenchanted Democrats who refuse to vote for the other side should their candidate not receive the nomination, there are options other than voting for McCain. If I'm not mistaken, Nader will be on the ballot (that might bring back bad memories, but if you're crossing over to send a message to the Dems anyway, why not send THAT message?), and there's always Ron Paul. He's not going anywhere.

I hate to say it, but I'm starting to regard her as a has-been. I'm just not interested in anything she has to say anymore. She has entirely turned me off.

I mean no disrespect to the people who have yet to vote...I realize they are still paying attention and they will still go to the polls. But I voted on Feb. 5th and people here seem to have already made up their minds (and actually CT is referenced in First Read today). So, for now, I'm moving on from Clinton...I feel secure in my choice.

Remember when Howard Dean's battle cry was "We can take back our country."? Perhaps it should have been "We can take back our party, and THEN we will take back our country."

I think the Pelosi letter may be the final straw. If rank and file Democrats refuse to honor the wishes of "major donors" and instead, give their small checks and donations to support the DCCC, we will have witnessed the first REAL change in party politics in this country in a long time. The PEOPLE, as opposed to the special interests and lobbyists will be running things. Now wouldn't THAT be something!!

The poll results indicate to me a couple of things...

1. People still have an open mind to Obama (except as Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan seem to still talk about, their constituencies, I guess those folks are close-minded according to Joe and Pat, not me) and that is heartening. He can still convince them that it's not all about Wright and I am confident he will.

2. I was right on Hillary's electability. I, for a few weeks, have found it tremendously ironic and somewhat moronic that the Clintons have focused so much on Obama's electablility. Let's talk about Clinton's shall we. Fair is fair. Her electability is something that brings Republicans out to vote a resounding NO NO NO. Sounds significant to Dems down ballot running for election in the Fall.

As to Pastor Bradshaw. We all want America to be blessed. I for one want her to better as well. What is un-American about standing up and admonishing her for the wrong that she has done. As a citizen of this country, who has had family members give their lives for her, as well as, a husband who served nearly 9 yrs. in the American armed forces in service to her, I have the perfect right, and responsibility, to speak out when my country takes a misstep, because I love her, and want her to continue to thrive. Have we forgotten Rome, or Egypt and how they fell. Anyone who refuses to engage our government in a moral conversation over it's policies, and behavior is not a true patriot.

It has been my observation that those who accuse their fellow sister, and brother American, of being 'unpatriotic' with the harshest severity, are the very ones who chose to 'dodge' the draft, (like Bill Clinton), and others like them. Look at the state of our nation after the Clinton, and Bush administrations have had their way with it. Boiling 'patriotism' down to lapel jewelry is a manipulative, evil charge, that won't get a drop of ink on the page of history.
