Condoleeza is just as adept at spinning as the Clintons. Do you imagine the Republicans would want her for VP, (which could turn into Madame President after a bit), if Senator Obama were not in this election cycle? They'd use her as nothing more than a pawn. She'd be their 2-fer,( black, and female). Talk about the Clintons willingness to do anything to win!

She has stood in the gap, for her cowardly boss; done his bidding; and allowed herself to be taken for his bullet-proof vest, time and time again when his policies, rightfully, came under fire. She's the female equivalent of Clarence Thomas.

Powell had the guts to get out of that wrecthed administration, come before the world, and tell us why. I don't know how she lives with herself.

I'm trying to think of one thing that Rice has been right about. She never did notice that Putin was a Communist even though Russia was supposed to be her area of expertise. Running Rice on the ticket would further burden McCain with a third Bush term in the voters minds. Rice has been incompetent in EVERY area that she has touched. Just like her boss.

People who advocate for her continued involvement in govt. are not only ignorant, but don't care about the nation much.

How is it that Rice has never been held accountable for her incompetence leading up to Sept. 11th? If you are the national security adviser, isn't it your job to know what threats are out there? She didn't say no! Of all the people involved in our government at this time she is the most qualified. There is no one who can come close to her foreign
policy experience, nor her diplomatic skills. She's been there,done that! And all with great dignity.

She's tough as nails as she has demonstrated many times in her appearances before Congress and her many personal meetings with heads of state,friendly or otherwise. She is respected all over the world.

Condoleeza Rice is a patriot who loves this country. It would be a great loss if she returns to private life, although she has certainly earned the right to do so.

Condoleeza Rice as Vice President? Her actions as National Security Advisor in the months before 9/11 remind one of the name of that Texas swing band of the ‘70''s - "Asleep At The Wheel." She was in that position during the total mismanagement of the post-Iraq War period. Now she is in a mad dash to salvage whatever shreds of legacy remain to be had for the Bush Presidency, and not coincidentally, her own non-eventful tenure as Secretary of State.

But the question to be asked is: if elected, what role would her friend, co-author and State Department Counselor Phillip Zelikow - the ideologically neo-conservative, pro-Israel Bush loyalist and grand cover-up meister of the 9/11 Commission - have in a McCain-Rice administration?

Ms. Rice would make an excellent choice for a VP candidate for Mr. McCain...just based on her qualifications alone. Her race and gender, combining Mr. Obama and Ms. Clinton's attributes into one candidate, would help Mr. McCain. But, her qualifications make her worth considering, not her race and gender.

An interesting proposition to say the least. I think the big question is whether or not Dr. Rice hurts or helps the McCain presidential bid.

On one hand, she is almost OVER-qualified to be veep. She could practically run for the presidency herself.

On the other hand, she is inextricably linked to the Bush administration - and all of it's failings.
