This candidate's organizational skills and judgement in allocation of human resources bodes well for the nation if he wins next November. No wonder he was editor of the Harvard Law Review. This guy knows how to think. What a stark contrast of changing leadership we can look forward to, shifting from Obama to Bush: from arrogance to openness, from aristocracy to democracy, from management by fear to management by competence. Small business owners will be spotting these skills in Obama and that should foster hope in local business circles about how the Obama administration will function.

Obama IA director to head PA effort

I just don't think its possible for Obama to win in Pennsylvania. There was an article that highlighted Pennsylvania's habit of supporting "legacy" politicians and being skeptical of new comers.

The real fight from here to the last primary will be the other contests where it is still anyone's game.

I am so frustrated by the push by Obama and his surrogates to pressure Hillary to drop out now. I just don't understand the rush. We've been through 40 or so primaries/caucuses already, why not just finish this thing up? Campaigns are supposed to be tough, they help the voters see how the candidate will conduct themselves under scrutiny. If we just gave up now and Obama claimed the nomination, we may be doing ourselves a disservice because we don't know everything about him yet.

Obviously, Obama hasn't sealed the deal with Democratic voters yet because he is still struggling in some of the bigger, more traditional Dem states. If anything, you would think his interest would lie in proving to these voters that he is willing to fight to earn their respect all the way to the finish line.

For all of the Obama supporters who are so fearful of continuing this campaign because the Clinton tactics are tarnishing his image, please remember that the GOP will not be so kind. We can't fool ourselves into believing that any candidate is perfect. These are politicians we are talking about. The best thing to do is to air out these issues and allow Obama to address them himself before the general election. Handling him with kid-globes then throwing him to the wolves of the GOP will be ruinous in November.

www.greenpieceblog.com

Obama IA director to head PA effort

As the vote nears, it's interesting to read Mr. Todd's op-ed piece about why Senator Clinton should remain in the race. He's welcome to his opinion, but it should have been offered as that and not as news. Speaking of news, do you have a blackout on Senator Clinton's own "pastorate problem?"

Personally, I'd like to see global warming, the war in Iraq and the economy front and center. BUT if you're going to keep talking about Rev. Clinton placed 3rd in that contest as we all remember.

Obama IA director to head PA effort

Since Sen. Clinton launched her "kitchen sink" strategy, it has turned off many in the party, especially, as it has appeared that Obama is still headed for the nomination. When they were both sticking to the issues, she was having a hard time gaining any traction against him. Once she went negative, she appeared to be making some headway.

Now she is at a crossroads, stick to talking about issues and continue to fight or keep trying to undercut Obama and run the risk of angering the party leaders. The calls for her to drop out are based on this mud slinging and the fact that voters just don't want to deal with that for the next 65 days or so until the last contest. The problem is, I don't think her campaign believes they can stunt Obama's progress without somehow harming him.

Obama IA director to head PA effort

Obama also picked up Senator Casey this morning. For example, heaping prasie on McCain at the expense of Obama is not the path, Hillary win or loose, to leave run for the party to come together in the end and position the dems to win in the Fall. They once spoke that they were both honored to be running against each other. Hillary has forgoten that moment (where she actually said it several times),has ill positioned both Obama and herself for the fall campaign and is poisoning her supporters against Obama, while he simply has not done the same to her (his Mantra from day one is that she is qualified to be president). THIS gutter work is what is bringing dem officials out of the woodwork and pushed them to encourage Hillary that enough is enough.

Obama IA director to head PA effort

Paul Tewes was here in OH and you all know how that went. Hopefully, Obama will be able to connect with the voters in PA so they have the opportunity to hear him personally instead of relying on media reports.

Obama, 08

Obama IA director to head PA effort

daduke8475, apparently you have no idea what is going on. 2024 is the number needed WITHOUT Michigan and Florida. A couple of weeks ago, Senator Obama was being asked 'why he was not spending more time campaigning in Pa.'? The reporter questioning him, came off as a conduit for a Pennsylvanian attitude that was rather offended that Barack was stumping elsewhere.

In his cool, collected way, he listened, head somewhat lowered, and tilted to the side; smiling all the while; unflappable. He explained his strategy to his interviewer, then assured him, 'don't worry, I plan to spend so much time in Pa., you are sure to get sick of me'. When the reporter turned back to the anchors, he said, ' well, so and so, there you have it. Senator Obama is coming, and I'm really looking forward to that. I can't wait', absolutely beaming.

My husband, who works for a large university, in the heart of Pgh., with many other institutions of higher learning tightly congregated with-in a few blocks, said he saw a huge crowd of people standing in a very long line, 5 persons deep, waiting to hear Barack's message.

I have every confidence Senator Obama will make great in-roads with support in Pa.

Pulling for Obama '08

Obama IA director to head PA effort

I believe pennslyvania will not say shame on Obama this time, because NAFTA is obvious.

Obama ,09

Obama IA director to head PA effort

Senator Obama may not win PA, but Tewe's support will definately help close the gap!

Obama 08!

Obama IA director to head PA effort

Why is it that all I ever read or hear is that Obama has the lead in delegates and Hillary does not? Athough some of us are non-religious you christains ought to know John the Baptist was probably the Rev. Wright of his day. DO you know your religion well enough to put someone like a Rev. Wright in the proper context of todays world?

Those with your sentiments seem hyprocritical or just unfamiliar with the historical figures of your system of worship like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekial,etc... all these guys were hell raisers in their day being controversial about the social and governmental issues of their time.

If Rev Wright was a white man he wouldn't be getting nearly as much attention, scrutiny or judgemental disdain. Why does this conclusion assert itself to the forefront? Because Ron Parsley preaches whole sermons on the Gov. supporting and encouraging Black genocide through abortion likening the government sponsored planned parenthood to the Nazi's and not one peep about this anywhere in the news? Parsley is not the only fire breathing white pastor that asserts controversial views who has everday Americans attending their churches.

Many pastors have unsavory views about other ethnic groups, condemn our government, etc. and its common knowledge among the parishoners, however these pastors are not judged by those views alone. Francis Schaeffer, Pat Robinson, Jerry Falwell, and the list goes on

Obama IA director to head PA effort

I am voting for Senator Obama and think it is fine for Hillary to stay in the race if she stops her 'kitchen sink' campaign.
