Simple, fair solution - honor both the voters and the rules - seat the elected delegates in proportion to the tainted election. Do NOT seat the SuperDelegates from Florida or Michigan. Neither side gets what they want, but no one will be able to criticize it. Bill Nelson should show leadership and recommend this solution. The voters and the rules are both honored.

They must seat them according to the vote. 1.7 million voters came out to vote on an election that "didn't matter". Obama was on TV on CNN and Msnbc with commercials although they both said they would not do so. Obama is so way far out ahead what's the difference? Does Obama think he can win the general election without Florida? I don't think so

Sorry but if they don't use the results from the OFFICIAL election, people will not be pleased. Too bad that the DNC is too proud to admit they made a draconian decision to start with and will do nothing to resolve that. Good luck on getting the campaigns to agree. I keep hearing Obama reps saying "he didn't campaign there." So what? Nobody did!! He doesn't deserve half the delegates of FL. Have heard in MI Obama folks want all uncommitted votes to go to him. Wrong. He and Hilary were not the only people in the race at that time. What a mess and frankly the reason I will most likely change to Independent. That way in the future when the DNC makes another ignorant blunder then I don't have to vote for them.

The delegates will be seated AFTER the nominee is named. This whole revote thing is already DOA, and what Billary doesn't want you to understand, is the fact that the delegates CAN be seated AFTER the nominee is decided.

She wants a revote because that his her only chance of possibly catching up to Obama on popular vote, but that would even be a long shot.

The rules were broken and that is that. The "fake" vote that Billary claims to have won means nothing and will still mean nothing.

No revote will take place and the delegates will be seated AFTER the nominee is chosen.

The same thing will happen with Michigan.

I guess that means there will be no revote. Will the Clinton supporters still vote in PA knowing that she can't win the nomination? I can't wait to hear Chuck Todd explain how its still possible (albeit remotely) for her to win this thing. Its also will be interesting to hear the Clinton spinners try to come up with some new metric that will justify their attempt to hijack the nomination.

The Potter plan works for Florida. What you Obamamites can't seem to get through your thick heads is that unless the delegates are seated in a way that reflects their votes they will not be willing to back the Democratic nominee, especially if it's Barack Obama. If he doesn't have the backing of Florida and MI in the general, and can't win Ohio, which he won't and everyone but you knows it, then how exactly do you expect him to win the general election?

As time goes on I wonder how much the RNC payed Howard Dean to screw up this election. This year should have been a slam dunk, but thanks to the DNC and their poor handling of the scheduling, and MI and FL, the general election is in serious jeopardy.

And don't hand me any of that crap about Obama's new electoral map. The only red state he might conceivably win is Georgia, or maybe SC. That won't be enough to offset MI FL and Ohio. And depending on how the exit polls from PA look, that state could be in play for McCain, as is NJ.

Howard, you better find a way to seat those delegates and count those votes or get used to saying President John McCain. And you will most certainly want to start preparing to go back to private medical practice, because if the Democrats lose the G.E. you're going to be out of a job.

Based on comments I have seen in my local paper by Rep Tim Mahoney, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Sen. Bill Nelson I wonder if they recall the name of Katherine Harris. If so I hope they remember what became of her political career.

The FL primary vote was disenfranchised before the primary not after.

- Reality is that many Dems stayed home or voted in the GOP primaries.
- Also, without any campaigning, Hillary's brand was well known while Obama's was not.
- Before she realized that she might need them, Hillary stated on the record that no delegates would be awarded as a result of these votes.
- Harold Ickes voted to strip FL and MI of their delegates.

The only fair solution is to either do a complete do-over where everyone is allowed to vote, follow the rules as agreed upon by all candidates OR go to the convention's credentials committee in August.

The rules are the rules. Florida and Michigan knew the penalty for ignoring the rules. Now's the time to endure the penalty and not be seated. It would seem the best solution next time would be to rotate the states to be first in the primaries. As if it's going to matter then.

Problem with stating that the Democrats shouldn't be punished for something caused by the Republicans is that the Democrats in Florida's messed-up political system also voted to move the primary forward. The delegates in Michigan and Florida should either be seated 50/50 (with no superdelegate representation) or should have no vote at all. I live in Florida, voted, and know that what my state representatives did was in violation of the rules. If you reward a temper tantrum, then expect that same tantrum to keep showing its ugly head. If you're not happy with the rules being enforced, then vote the people that violated the rules out of office when they run for re-election.

The high turnout for the property tax amendment in Florida skewed the electorate. Most likely the people without property to tax stayed home since nothing was at stake for them in the election and this population was probably more likely to vote for Obama. Has anybody done an analysis of the turnout for this year's primary and compare it to turnout for previous presidential elections and primaries?
