My opposition to the war in no way affects my admiration for those that answer the call to serve.

God bless them, they are in my thoughts each and every day. I hope they can all come home to their families and friends and communities safe and sound very son.

Will his sons be serving in Iraq or present in Iraq? When his kids are partrolling in the Iraqi slums exposed to sniper fire and roadside bombs I will give him my respect for that. Until then I'll wait and see.

I am worried about electing a President who comes from a family of warriors. The predominant philosophy in the McCain household while he was growing up must have been one-sided and dogmatic. We condemn military coups in other countries, yet we too are being drawn in that direction. McCain's psychological trauma from his prolonged captivity as a POW must become an issue to be openly discussed without being painted as "unpatriotic". If Republicans can scream that Obama was somehow brainwashed by the rantings of Rev. Wright, then reasonable people can say McCain's anger issues reflect repressed rage against his captors.

He knew what was in the bill, helped pass it by voting for it, and is now pandering to the recipient's of 'pork'. Yeah, he'll look real innocent, whoofing down the basket-o-barbecue he want's for lunch.

So, Senator McCain hid, his own kids from 'the 100 years war'.

This will be fair game in the GE. Obama, here is the card that will trump the Rev. Wright scandal, 'any day', and yes, twice on your supposed un-patriotic 'sundays', spent in church. If the GOP pulls it out of their hypocritcal hand, throw it, and take 'em down.

First Read this is pretty lame. Is this the best you could do because McCain didn't take earmarks like your boy Obama, or the other Democrat you occassionaly mention? This like some other recent far reaches in hopes of damaging McCain only shows how bias some are.

Another bogus argument by the left. What experience doesn the Community Organizer from Chicago have? None What experience does the ex First Lady have? None At least McCain has leadership experience and has managed something larger than a Senate office, and like any other President will appoint others with experience. Not to mention the President doesn't run the economy nor does he have any say in how much oil China, India, or the rest of the emerging world consumes.

Oh I so agree with you David Kolva! I, for one, have wondered about McCain's psycholgical trauma due to prolonged captivity as a POW. Many, many soliders that came back from Viet Nam are STILL suffering psycholical trauma and they weren't neccessarily "tortured" by the enemy as McCain was. I think it's a fair question and one, no doubt, that needs to addressed in the General election.

Every time there is a vote, there is the possiblity of "pork" in it. Just because he doesn't offer any "pork," doesn't mean that isn't going to vote for it. This is the same trouble that I have with Ron Paul. You can say that you don't like something, but you might end up doing it anyway.

As for his sons serving in Iraq, that is their choice to do that since we have an all volunteer military. I hope for their saftey and the saftey of all our service members. This should not be brought up in the campaign at all. His sons serve; that is good for them.

Prince Harry was not allowed to serve in a combat unit openly for obvious reasons. He is a high value target and would endanger the mission, himself, and his comrades.
McCain's sons are to be praised for their service to the Country. But with such a high profile father I would imagine that the Marine Corp has the same concerns as the British. I don't know and I don't want to know in what capacity either of the McCain boys are serving in Iraq. That could endanger them and their comrades. But I will guess that they are kept secure. And if they are not now assigned jobs that keep them out of harms way, they will most certainly if John McCain is Elected President.

Its funny becuase I just read an article saying that the republicans want Obama as the nominee becuase it will be "easy" to defeat him.....

go to McCains website and you will see that he has no plans for the economy (he doesnt understand economics)he wants to lower taxes for Corporations, he has no healthcare plans unless you are big business (as shown above) He has NO educational plan, he thinks No Child Left Behind is doing great, and has no plan for the housing crisis except that it will play out like it should without govt. help......

BTW experience and tenure in washington has proven to be a bad thing....

whatever McCain's morals and principles were when he started politics have been sold off to his lobbyists and corporations.....same could be said of clinton...
