While this is not a criticism of him, it makes me wonder how corrupt government really must be to spend all that money for an opportunity to become president at a salary of $400,000. There must be other perks that the American public is unaware of or the candidates are on such ego trips that they want all this power. Do you think we need to question the process? Obama is electable and WILL be the next President of the United States!

Obama raises more than $40 million

Any of those Barack contributor's want to lend me some gas money?

Obama raises more than $40 million

There you have it! I was on the fence until Feb 5. Hillary was supposed to have this thing wrapped up by then. She apparantly didn't get the memo from the American public about this being a change election. It is difficult for her to be a change candidate, when she is Bill's wife. I think the tax return issue is a valid point to be made, as the American public need to see where Hillary got the $5 million to loan herself, when she only makes $135k as a US senator. I am not being anti-Hillary, but she has demonstrated her inability to lead her own campaign...in vivid color. She has raised considerable (over $160 million) since this began, but yet she is broke and has only won a handful of states, and did not compete in the "less important" states. Obama, on the other hand, has raised considerably more money, from more people. He has campaigned in ALL of the primary and caucus contests to date. All of his bills are paid in full, and he also has cash in the bank. You tell me after reviewing those facts who is better with money and who cares more about what EVERYONE thinks...not just the people in big states.

Obama raises more than $40 million

WOW!!! Why is this? Why are so many people, who are losing their homes to foreclosure; losing their jobs to downsizing and offshore labor and paying the highest gas prices in this country has ever seen, contributing what little disposable cash they have to this man's campaign?

Could it be that they see something in him and his ideology that is not present in either Clinton or McCain's?

Could it be that the tactics being employed by Clinton only highlight what's wrong with our country's politics and ironically, are the indirect cause of why our ecomony, energy and foreign policy situations are what they are now? Is that these people are that unsophisticated and star struck, overwhelmed by Obama's charisma and charm?

Or could it be they are tired...tired of being lied to; tired of having their intelligence insulted by insisting they can't think critically and logically reason for themselves; tired of being force-fed lies (Obama being a muslim); and substance-less distractions (a la J. Wright) and pitches in the dirt (issues like fictious 3 AM phone calls); and HRC and her surrogate's temper tantrums (a la Bill and Carville) incenuating the nomination and white house are somehow a Clinton entitlement and anyone who disagrees is disloyal and a Judas.

Maybe, just maybe those who have contributed to Obama's coffers are more intelligent than the pundits, the Clinton and McCain campaigns would have us believe. Maybe they know REAL CHANGE and REAL SUBSTANCE when they hear it and see. And to prove it, they're putting their money where their votes will be.

Obama raises more than $40 million

He is raising so much because he is supported so much!!! I also, am proud to be one of those contributors, and will give more in the months to come. Thank you, Barack, for giving us hope. You are a breath of fresh air!

Obama raises more than $40 million

Why dont the very, very old/the old ones live the office for the young ones coming up with a very new idears for a turn around.

                   GODBLESS,
                             WASBORN.

Obama raises more than $40 million

Senator Obama is bringing a divided country together;bringing young voters to the poll in unprecedented numbers and offering hope to Republicans who are crossing party lines and the people are seeing that and offering their support...How refreshing!

Obama raises more than $40 million

One of these days the media will actually get the message the American people are trying so hard to send. We want change, and we wants someone with the character and intelligence of Barack Obama to lead that change. My wife and I have never given more than $250 to any campaign before, and we will max out giving to Obama in both the primary and general elections. We give $50 at a time, $100 at a time, whatever we can afford. We skip our date night and movies and dinners out and give the savings to Obama. It's especially great to know that there are a million plus other people out there thinking the same way that we are, and making the same sacrifices for our country and our children's future.

Obama raises more than $40 million

HMMM...HMMM!
