I am not a supporter of Obama, that being said, I do agree with Michael (above) that, it is time to unite.

I read these blogs everyday, as well as daily read the Huffington post, the NYT, the Washington Post, watch MSNBC, listen to Air America radio, and have examined Obama's website very closely. I am in the demographic of those that are supposed to be a fan of his. Yet, I cannot find a way to support him.

I do not want to vote for a republican, (I never have in my life and do not want to start now), but unless someone can list out his accomplishments, I may be forced to.

Therefore, all Obama supporters PLEASE tell me what he has done...please give specifics, because I am not finding any. I know I am not alone, as nearly half of all democrats, as evidenced by the polls, are still not supporting him.

I am so afraid that this fall will be a repeat of 1988, 2000, and 2004....the candidate looked so good in the spring, just to collapse by November.

This is really a serious matter...we cannot afford another loss to the republican machine.

One of the premises of the Olympics from its inception in the early days of Greece was that it was non-political. To this point, they even demanded that all the athletes perform naked so as minimize the impact that an athlete's origins made on judgement of performance.

While it is probably unlikely that politics cannot be completely excluded the olympic contents, great pains should be taken to minimize their impact on an event dedicated to those who push themselves toward athletic excellence. Such politicizing by Sarkozy or Clinton or the Chinese is no different than Adolph Hitlers politicizing of the events that took place in Berlin last century.

Remember what happened to over 250,000 people in Bosnia when she told her husband not to send help because it may interfere with her health care plan going through? In case you don't remember; All those people died, and her health care plan -- which is the very same one she's touting now -- failed miserably. Boycotting the opening games only hurts all of the athletes who have worked their entire lives for this moment. If you're going to boycott the games, you boycott the CLOSING games, NOT the opening games.

The Clintons can look straight into the camera and tell such bold faced lies (Bosnia, Canada, NAFTA, Colombia, outsourcing, India, the lawsuit now in progress in CA, trying to get the superdelegates over turn the votes of the people, MI and FL suddenly count after she said "they don't count," donations to the Clinton Library, their 10M dollar donation to their own charity, I did not have sexual relations with that woman, etc., etc.) and most people seem to feel that it's okay to lie... in order to get votes. Yet when someone speaks the truth, you can't handle it.

Lets disenfranchise hundreds of athletes that spent most of their lives training for this very event.

How about we let them compete and show this country what freedom does for the soul, just like Jesse Owens did back when germany hosted the games before WWII.

Sporting events are no place for politics...if we want to really send a message, then how bout a good old fashion embargo on goods? This is just Grandstanding by someone at the end of their rope.

And for those mistaken by the fact that they think china owns us...they are number 2 right behind Japan and ahead of Great Britain. They have approximately 490 billion of our debt (about 12% of our yearly GDP). Hardly enough to own us...but let's keep up this borrow and spend congress...i'm sure we will have a grand ole time giving our roads and national landmarks away to pay off our debts....

Tighten the belts people, pay off the debt and invest in education so we can compete with nations currently destroying us in the marketplace.

The only time she is attacked is when she lies. Unfortunately, she is being attacked almost every day. I wonder why? Joe, can you tell me, Is Mark Penn fired or is he still working for Hillary? You see, I read this morning, in between the blogs about the woman without health insurance that died with her baby, the he was no longer with the campaign, but Maggie Williams said he will still be polling and giving advice. Not bad... fired but still does work and collects pay. Oh, I sorry for bringing up the woman and her baby lie.

I hope your donating to Hillary, Joe, because Mark Penn needs his money. And Hillary needs additional resources to keep up her work. You know, moving jobs out of the country isn't easy. And she has to find places where Bill and her can invest in order to generate income.

Think about it, Bush and Cheney are more truthful and honest than the Clintons. Isn't that sad.

I am always amazed at the lack of intelligence of bloggers that fail to read and comprehend what a candidate says or are just intentionally misrepresenying such! She is not calling for a complete boycott and when asked the question about such previously she wisely did not make an illadvised knee jerk response, typical of Obama. She is calling for Bush to boucott his personal appearence at the opening cremonies. Learn to read, not mislead, people!
