The issue is that such trade deals have to be re-written so those countries like Columbia will be made to apply the same policies that apply to US companies regarding wage structures, benefits structures, safety policies and environmental requirements. Then such deals will be on an even and fair playing field where US ingenuity and workmanship can compete successfully. Such changes will also make companies to think twice before moving their manufacturing businesses out of the US. But as long as these countries are allowed to pay their employees $3 / $4 per hour with no benefits or safety guarantees, and environmental requirements are lax, then states like Ohio, PA, Michigan and the like can forget such jobs ever returning to the US.

People in the country need to know that if Bill Clinton, Mark Penn and other lobbyist in the Clinton campaign are behind trade deals with countries who basically run sweat shops where workers are taken advantage of how the heck can they even think that Hillary is sincere in her support of the American worker and their rights. It is amazing to me with all the information coming out on this issue how any Union organization in this couintry can be endorsing Hillary.

Bush v. You have really sent a message loud and clear for the American people. We can only signal our disgust by voteing. You spoke for us in a way no one has in a very long time.I hope you will keep their feet to the fire over this bill. As a country ;we have been lead and pushed down the path of George Bush's making for 7 years. Columbia needs to do more work and our solider's need to come home. The Iraqris need to start spending that 30 billion dollars on their country's infrastruture, creating job, paying their own soldiers. Maybe they would stop taking a lunch break in the middle of being trained. They have a 30 billion dollar cushion in banks here in United States.I feel if they have not caught on to making their own decision about their welfare by now. We need to force them to by leaving their country and bringing our people home.If they are afraid of the Irainans' and Beladan. They will have to fight or are they so weak in their minds theat they have become used to being controlled. I believe they are helping to bleed our country dry under the guise of this helpess demeanor. These people will never take a stand for themselves as long as our forces are the on the ground. President Bush is determined to bankrupt our country to rebuild Iraq. I am tired and I no longer and never did support his and Daddy's war. As well as ;I strongly feel Sen. Clinton knew of the meeting with Columbia and Mark Penn. Who reported to her and her husband for 7 years. What has changed ? So how can we trust her to make sure that Americans are not steamed rolled again because she saids so and taking sniper fire someplace in Bosnia. I used to believe in her.She has lost my faith and confidence. Now I have only you to thank right now for being the one to stand up and loudly say no more.Hopely Obamba will bring more to the table for the American people, because the Clintons just keep bringing out the dirty laundry from before by accidents this time.

Bush v. (good excerpt)
"An agreement with Colombia is an essential component of our regional strategy to advance free trade within our hemisphere, combat narco-trafficking, build democratic institutions, and promote economic development. In addition to eliminating tariffs, Colombia will remove barriers to trade in services, provide a secure, predictable legal framework for U.S. investors operating in Colombia, provide for effective enforcement of labor and environmental laws, protect intellectual property, and provide an effective system to settle disputes. Also, since many products from Colombia already enter the U.S. market duty-free under the Andean Trade Preference Act (ATPA), the agreement will level the playing field and make duty-free treatment a two-way street,"

Bush v.
