I think Dean's 50 state strategy has paid off. As to John McCain accusing Obama of waffling on money for campaigning...if McCain thought he could raise the amount of money Senator Obama has through small donors which average about 96 bucks, he would do it in a minute. McCain is just scared to death that he won't have the money to compete.

Dean is making a mess of the DNC....I wouldn't donate a dime to the DNC as long as he keeps us mired in all this Clinton nonsense.

We have the Clintons smearing and distorting Obama's record, promoting John McCain, hurling insults at party leaders like Bill Richardson, lying about one matter after another......and Howard Dean thinks it's perfectly okay..............

We have a once in a generation leader in Obama who has brought millions of new players into the Democratic fold and shown he can be one of the most prolific fundraisers in history and Dean just sits there twiddling his thumbs.......

You mis-wrote, you mean 46 years as a Republican. Do your research on Michigan and Florida, everyone else but you. Don't worry, both states will be seated.

For everyone else who criticizes Dean, do your research as well. Everyone praises the 50 state strategy and rightfully so, it brought the Dems 2006 and it will bring them to the majority in 2008. I laugh when people actually think the Republicans will win in November. No poll, stat, questionnaire, survey, etc. will show how people are fed up with this administration. Come November, it will be a landslide for Democrats, and I can't wait.

I have sent DNC envelopes back empty and have asked to be removed from the DNC mailing list.

I have done so because of a complete lack of leadership and any evidence of a tactical/strategic vision.

The Florida/Michigan mess was completely foreseeable and is completely unforgivable.

I for one will not be donating money to the DNC, if Obama is the nominee. There are many more like me. After 46 years as a Democrat, I am ashamed to call my self one now, there are many more Americans from Michigan and Florida that feel the same! The DNC as denied me , my vote for the candidate of my choosing! Did you ever wonder why Obama kept his name off the ballot in Michigan, but not in Florida? Why Obama spent 1.3million in ads in Florida than in Michigan, even though he was told not to campaign? I guess he thought Florida was more important than Michigan!

You're an idiot! I too am in Michigan and I knew the vote wouldn't count, that's why I voted uncommitted.

Obama & Edwards both tried to take their names off the ballot in FL, but weren't allowed to under FL law. If you want to be mad at anyone, you need to be mad at the MICHIGAN & Florida Democratic Party & all of their Dem Representatives (House & Senate).

Both states were told that moving the primaries was going to involve a punishment. Now, you're crying..... You need to direct your anger at the people responsible for moving the primary (like Gov Jen-Jen), and not the candidates.

The money he spent was on national ads. Besides, I didn't hear you cry foul when HRC held fundraisers (private, at least) in FL.

Dean didn't create the mess, but anyone being honest has to admit he's kept it from boiling over. He also did a great job in 2006.

Whoever is criticizing Dean needs to shut up! His 50 state strategy is why the Democrats won so big in 2006 and it has laid the foundation for Obama to build upon.

Democrats won't need to worry about raising money this year if Obama is on top of the ticket. He'll have over 2 million donors by November and swell turnout to all-time highs in every race in every part of the country where a Democrat is competitive.

The 50 state strategy is going to change the electoral map. It's going to make the Republicans have to really spend a lot of resources defending their turf, instead of ceding it to them as in past years.
