If Bill does not want a lot of distraction than he should remove himself from the campaign trail.

My wife was a Hillary supportor until two things happened:

1) Hillary said that herself and McCain were tested implying that Obama was not and...

2) It was obvious that Hillary could not control Bill.

With the lies, the Penn deal, the $800,000 check from Columbia and Bill spouting off at the mouth it just reminds us all of the things we did NOT like about the '90s.

It is time to move past the Clintons and get on with a new generation of leadership.

THE FACTS:

Bill Clinton has many of the facts wrong.

His wife didn't make the sniper fire claim "one time late at night when she was exhausted." She actually told the story several times, including during prepared remarks on foreign policy delivered the morning of March 17.

It's also not true that she "immediately apologized for it." Clinton has never apologized for the comments and only acknowledged that she "misspoke" a week after the March 17 speech when video of her peaceful tarmac reception emerged.

It's also not true that she was the "first first lady since Eleanor Roosevelt to go into a combat zone" - a claim that Hillary Clinton has also made when talking about the trip. Pat Nixon traveled to Saigon during the Vietnam war and Barbara Bush went to Saudi Arabia two months before the launching of Desert Storm.

Talk about distractions. Its Obama's fault for the misspeaks of his wife. Obama has shown restraint in not bringing the issue up. Maybe its Bill who is frustrated that his earnings may be an albatrosse on his wife's chances for election and wanted to create the distraction. Telling the truth is not a distraction. When we select a leader, it is not a popularity contest like in high school. Voters with a college education favor Obama over Hillary by 62% to 38%. Those with graduate degrees is even a higher percentage. Why? Because we read and analyze. Because we work with well educated people who are good leaders themselves. Because we can see through the daily nonsense that comes from the Clinton/Begala/Carville hate machine. The race is over Bill. Use the Slate Delegate Calculator and you will see that even if Obama loses every one of the next 10 primaries by 20% points, he still will have 50 more delegates than Hillary. He will win NC, Oregon, Montana and SD. Indiana will tie. That means Hillary must win PA, WV, KY and PR by 90% margins to pull ahead AND then still take 2/3rds of the remaining super-delegates.

NO.

Do I believe that he is willing to do anything to get his wife elected--even if it means stomping on the Black community (a community that has remained fiercely loyal to him) by using words to play on ignorant people's stereotypes/fears of the Black community?

ABSOLUTELY.

Earlier today, I thought that President Clinton should've been afforded a pass for last night's slip-up w/ regard to the "vote for me because I've never stolen a car."

Now, however, I believe that he knew exactly what he was saying/doing both times he spoke. Beyond being well educated, I believe that he is one of the greatest politicians that America has ever seen. He should be held to a higher standard than the average American or politician. This is shameful.

Also, he is plainly angry that his wife is not just being given the nomination because she has paid her dues, and, heck, she is Bill Clinton's wife.

With each passing day, Bill reminds us of what was wrong with the 90's and why we need to have a candidate that can represent a break from the ways of the past. $52+ million in speaking fees, including at least $800,000 from pro-Colombia trade pact backers, means that the Clintons owe somebody. Also, why won't they release their donors to the Clinton Foundation and Library. Clearly, if they regain the White House, their first thoughts will not be about the "little guy or gal." Remember when Hillary loaned her campaign $5,000,000. We'll given that they filed jointly this money came just as much from pro-Uribe/Colombia folks as it did from her book sales. She cannot have the luxury of separating income sources when she wants to. She wants to always have it both ways but the voters are going to be too smart to fall for this again and again. What was it that George Bush said, "You can fool me once, but....well, uh....that fooling stuff won't....uh..."

p.s. more doublespeak: yeah, they gave $10 million to charity. The charity was the Clinton Foundation. Come on people. Basta ya!
