Clinton is not the Huckabee of the Democratic nomination process...she has received over 10 million votes from the American people. They echo the best social scientific explanations of gun violence in America. They repeat some of former Republican Senator Danforth's vies on Faith and Politics. They recall former President Carter's Our Endangered Values on how the religious right misunderstands the relationship between faith and politics. Instead of recognizing that Senator Obama represents a totally new breed of politician, a politician that is on the intellectual cutting edge of social studies, Senators Clinton and McCain, and the GOP media resort to personal mud-slinging. Obama is an "elitist," a "crude Marxist," "arrogant," and "out of touch," attacking Obama's status rather than addressing what is being said, and the Clintons made over $100 mil over the last seven years. I understand your frustration, Obama was saying. I understand why some of you choose ineffective ways to release your bitterness. Genuine therapy can come from political involvement for social change. Intelligent observers would consider the evidence supporting Obama's comments: (1) armed vigilantes patrolling the U.S.-Mexican border and confronting "illegals;" (2) support for law enforcement stop-and-question policy toward Hispanic-looking persons; (3) the rise in expressions of anti-Muslim sentiments and physical attacks on Muslims and Mosques; (4)a significant increase in religiosity, in tandem with worsening economic circumstances; and (5) the National Rifle Asssociation's admission that its membership is enjoying an unprecedented growth. The Clinton and McCain's responses to Obama's remarks are blatantly dishonest and uninformed. This nation cannot afford to have any of these two individuals in the White House, especially after 8 years of blunders, lies, and mis-statements from George Bush. God, President Bush said, told him to invade Iraq. He was re-elected in 2004, despite wasting thousands of lives in Iraq. This nation needs a thinking President, one that is courageous enough to offer an explanation of our behavior that does not pander to self-righteousness. In light of all this, Senator Obama should cease apologizing for his words and ask America's voters to search their hearts and examine the evidence for what he said. Voters should show Senators Clinton and McCain and the misguided media that they are not taken in by personal attacks on Obama by voting for him.

Clinton attacks Obama on air

Hillary's jumped the shark and what's more she's playing right into Obama's strength. It's politics rule number one. Never make an attack when the counterattack's a stronger position. She gets to look like a whining loser while he gets to respond and look presidential.

Clinton attacks Obama on air

It is good they will debate here in Pa., before we vote in the primary. As an ordinary voter, let me tell you how most people seem to be reading this:

This is very transparent to most of us. After the boos you got today, you should be aware of how transparent it is. You see, the truth speaks for itself. People have an innate ability to recognize the truth. Obama stands up and speaks, and people recognize that he is speaking the truth. You stand up there and you spin, and you take things out of context, you lie, and you try to hurt Obama with your half triths and mudslinging. You stage your photo-ops, you pander to any segment of voters that suit you, you cackle at legitimate questions, and people recognize that you are not truthful. People recognize that you are insincere. It isn't working. You are losing this.

One last thing- Most people like Obama. For you to stand there and slander him, to try to tear him down, it doesn't do you any credit. Especially when you aren't straight with people. We see what you are doing. You are trying to manipulate us and people don't like being manipulated. You try to lie and twist anything and everything to your advantage. This is what everyone means when they say that you are willing to do or say anything to get elected. You talk about being worried that the Republicans will exploit Obama's comments and use them against him in the general election, yet you have been the one exploiting them more than anyone. You can't stop talking about it. You have attacked Obama more than McCain has by a longshot. Is there really nothing positive you can say about yourself, that you feel the need to bash Obama endlessly instead? You are losing this, and we are losing all respect for you.
Clinton attacks Obama on air

Wow, she is a LIAR. That is in NO WAY what Obama said.

She is no longer a democrat

Clinton attacks Obama on air

If there is a contest to take words (not even full sentences) out of context, we have a winner!

Clinton attacks Obama on air

Americans who vote for Hillary deserve what they get. Why would we be bitter? Maybe it’s because the bankers who offered predatory loans are now "retiring" with multi-million dollar packages? Maybe it’s because we are struggling to pay our mortgages while the banks get bailed out by DC? Maybe it’s because our jobs have been shipped overseas, some by Bill Clinton. Yes, we are bitter, and there is nothing "elitist" about speaking the truth!

Still can't figure out what was untrue or false about what Barack said. It's just like most American's not to like what we see when we are shown ourselves in a mirror that reflects what truly is before someone is able to cover it up with falsehoods.

It's good to have a candidate tell America exactly what it needs to hear. It appears to me that his rivals are a little 'bitter' that they didn't expound on this issue first.

Ultimately, we all have reasons to be embittered, having seen our government hijacked by those who seem entirely divorced from our aspirations. Small towns are occupied by some of those who deserve to be most frustrated of all. Barack Obama recognizes that our bitterness is not cured by ignoring it or dismissing it. It is cured by talking about it -- and working to replace it with hope.

Clinton attacks Obama on air

This is real Hillary... Online small town newspaper cites in PA do not mention this bitter argument - this is a scandal all of Hillary's making. Part of our problem in this country is that we seem to be able to accept all kinds of opinions about the other guy, but when a comment hits close to home, we're just looking to pick apart and over-analyze every comment a candidate makes. Or that only Obama supporters sling vitriol and mud. I have read comments by Hillary supporters that stray way beyond facts into character assassination and make racist references to the hilt. For example, how many times have I read a comment by a Hillary supporter spreading the LIE that Obama is a Muslim?

My point is that there is vitriol on both sides and both camps will be sorely disappointed if their candidate does not get the nomination. However, with Obama, at least at this point, there will at least be a sense of fair play-- more delegates, more popular votes, more states. By sheer virtue of the fact that more folks have voted for him, a Hillary nomination will alienate more people than an Obama nomination. And consider the constituencies that will be alienated if this comes to pass- youngsters just wading into politics who represent the future of the party and the Dem's most stalwart supporters, the African American community.
That'd be a bad tactical move, I'd say. We've got stop this nonsense soon and get our act together. If the issues are really what Hillary (and her supporters) care about, how about she (and they) start talking about them? That way we wind down this primary season without beating each other up. How about that? We are supposed to be rooting for the same team in the end for pete's sake.

Clinton attacks Obama on air

Its an ad, with a script, and in no way represents what real people are thinking or saying. If Hillary had conducted " live " interviews with rural voters asking their feelings about Mr. Obama's remarks it might have been a little more believable. I can see thru all this melodrama and I am sure many, if not most, people can too.
