The only problem I have is that it is not fair to support only Jewish people's side. I agree with Obama that he should show concern for the people of Israel, but he should also focus on peace. I have to admit, that in the beginning I too though Obama to be anti-Israel but after I got to know him through the last 6 months, I am satisfied of his Israel position. The Jewish community plays a great role in American society and Obama should be willing to defend it as much as he would defend African Amercian.

The Rev. Wright comments bothered me like everyone else but the truth be told, that is customary throughout the church (both black & white churches). In the black church, they preach fire and brimestone like Rev. Wright...and in the white church they preach fire and brimestone like Pastor Haggie (Catholics are the great whore of Babylon) & Pastor Rob Parsley (homosexuals are devil workshippers), etc. To that end, both churches preach against USA in a judgement fashion, meaning if they don't like a position the U.S. took and if that position is contrary to the Bible, there will be judgement. But Rev. Wright, Haggie, Parlsey and thousands of other church pastors have no authority to pre-judge anything or anyone. I was part of the Christian church, black & white, for over 30 years and they are all alike, so you can't isolate Rev. Wrights comments without labeling the entire church community. But lets be clear, I don't agree with any of Rev. Wrights comments, but like I said, I heard that type of sermons all my life...nothing new.

No president can become all things to all people...its totally impossible. None of the white Presidents sympathized with all ethnic groups because they just can't. You can try but that would be unrealistic expectations. Obama should be very very clear with Israel but even if some Israeli topics are not satisfied it doesn't mean the Obama is anit-Israel.

You are right, Rev Wright did meet with the Libyans with Revs Jackson and Farahkahan..... There was a Navy Fighter Pilot who was downed over Lebannon and held by the Libyians. The Regan Administration was unsuccessful in negotiating his return. These three men went there and he was returned. Rev Wright was commended by Pres Johnson while he was a Navy Cardio-pulmonary Technician who took care of Johnson, commended by Pres Regan for efforts to release Pilot Bobby Goodman, and invited to the White House by Bill Clinton for prayer when he committed adultery in the White House. I also believe that Rev Dr. Wright and Rev Dr, Martin Luther King, Jr. preached on a paralell track. White america seems shocked that black churches speak out about the darker side of our nation. In order for us to be Chrisitians we would have to look at these things and forgive them. The bible speaks against slavery (the israleites by Pharoh). African Amreicans were inslaved by Christians who read the same bible, but did not follow it. Think about it.

By the way, Dr. King's last sermon was "Will America Go to Hell?"
