Obama has shown an amazing appeal (and perhaps not the general dem. appeal especially when running against a general dem. candidate/machine. The Dems. have to decide, will they unite?

As for Ayers, this will forever be remembered in my mind to typify two things about this campaign. (1) The Clintons' collective desparation and (2) the Height of Silly Season. And as a ps., the end of ABCNews. A lot of us will never watch it again (not that we were watching it before having long switched to cable). See ya Charlie and George.

Many agree for the last 2 decades, it has been rough and tumble, so why won't we try another approach? Go read Ayer's blog response to all of this. The problem isn't what ayers did 40 years ago, its who he is now and who he has always been. From an independant's point of view, it seems libs get a pass on their associations with "fringe" "radical" folks. But if you are associating with them (not merely receiveng their endorsements) but inviting them and participating with them in their causes, can these people still be considered on the "fringe" or "radical". If a person is asked to "introduce" you at a political event, aren't you standing in agreement at least in part with their politics? We Americans deserve answers to all those questions asked in the last debate about Obama's dubious relationships with men who hate or damn America, after all he is being considered for the Presidency of the United States of America and whoever is elected will be the Commander in Chief responsible for the security of our country. We didn't get clear answers and we will continue to ask the tough questions, but in our mind the main question still remains:
Does Obama love or hate America?

They blew up buildings people. Howard Wolfson in is follow-up from the ABC made the statement that "If Obama wants to associate himself with people who set BOMBS to buildings and said they didn't do enough he should be questioned by it." There's a difference between setting bombs to buildings and being Timothy McVie. They didn't intend to kill people although they killed two of their own. Its like those people who set bombs to abortion clinics because they don't believe in Abortions. They didn't mean to hurt people just destroy what they believed against.

What I still can't understand is why you anti-obama people keep digging on whatever he did in the past or did not do. how are you suppose to go forward while still living in the past? he is a wise and intelligent and educated man, period! he knows america's history..he is an american! he is a christian!i dont care whatever his ex pastor says! i dont care what his wife says! what his father said! what his mother said! whats important is what he believes now and his strategy to change this country and dig it out of its technical economic recession!stupid abc is asking all these unrelated questions about his relationship with other people!who cares who funds him? which president in america was solely funded by simple honest means?all you anti-obama people think about now and the future.If obama fails to implement his plan and strategy as he states..then you can impeach him or do whatever you want to do. but for now..stop asking unrelated stupid questions!

For all you Clinton idiots saying we cant vote for someone who doesn't have integrity or has to held accountable for what their associates say look at your candidate.Lets not bring up Mark Penn and The CAFTA thing again. According the the people (check the polls) she is the most untrustworthy candidate out there. Talk about lack of worthiness to run the country. YOU CANT HOLD SOMEONE ACCOUNTABLE FOR WHAT SOMEONE DID WHEN THEY WERE 8 YRS OLD THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE CAPACITY TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED LET ALONE CONDONE THE BEHAVIOR. As far as serving on the board it wasn't like they were buddies drinking beer and going to movies together. It was a charitable organization. Lets not forget Cindy McCain was a drug addict and STOLE drugs from her organization. Clinton pretty much said she lied about Bosnia and lets not talk about the shady things the Clintons knew or did while in office. (Paul, Vince Foster, Monica ect). So if were going to be holding candidates accountable for outsiders then lets talk about Clintons associates and hold her responsible for all those people.

That Mr. Ayers is now a professor at college, is on a board of a charity organization that was founded in the late 50's, and has helped thousands of people, is trivial, right? And oh my god, Barack and he were at the same place!! 40 years later. Keep up the good work. If you are going back 40 years, where did Bill Clinton go during the Vietnam war, or how about your president? Where did he go and what did either of them do? And who did Hillary say "screw em" to?

In a conversation with my neighbor while setting out trash barrels we talked politics. Her military son had been in Bosnia. She said, "we have to bring our boys home from Iraq. I want to vote for Obama but I question his patriotism." My reply: "being on a Charity board was much different than actively working with an Underground Group. What Obama actually did was positive community work in South Chicago. Patriatism comes from the bottom up as our National strength must include our poorest members. Wearing or not wearing a pin means nothing compared to really helping the poor have a better life.
