I'm a new voter in Pittsburgh and I can tell you I see lots of Obama signs. He has more signs than Hillary. Obama has lots of signs in Jewish American neighborhoods AND African American neighborhoods. Obviously from the absolute media lockdown that has taken place, Hillary made a huge gaffe at the debate when she said she would use a massive US involvement in the Middle East if any of the counties in her umbrella of favored countries was attacked. She is making the type of entangling commitment that led to World War I and could result in an un-ending war inflaming the whole Middle East. It is really scary. It puts her to the right of George Bush and John McCain. Yet it is spooky the way no one in her campaign or the media will talk about it. What gives? It's unfortunate that the smear and slash and burn Clinton stategy has tried to cover up what a great leader he will be.

It's important for people like Shapiro and Casey and others to bring that message to individual voters one after another.

Hillary's track record on jobs has been abysmal............not only have thousands of jobs been lost in upstate NY after she promised the very same things she's promised in PA, but she hasn't lifted a finger to help the folks in her state.

Her campaign senior advisor Penn has been involved in making thousands of dollars on the Columbian trade deals that she says she's opposing. that doesn't give much credibility to her position.

This is truly a movement for CHANGE.

Many people have decided to stop being complacent and accepting as a matter of course the way politics "works" in the past few decades.

The microscopic focus on every nuance of how words are spoken, the sound bit "phone it in" media coverage, the distorting of positions and the "say anything" 90s style politics has been a disgraceful example of what is worst about of political apathy.

Barack Obama represents and truly believes in a real deviation from this type of campaigning. What amazes me is how absolutely consistent he has been between his book that was written years ago and the words he speaks today. He has not changed his tune when he was down in the polls. He has not said that things would be easy. You see a new political philosophy that is taking strong root. It is represented by those 35,000 at Independence Park and countless other records setting events.

Barack has inspired me, not by telling me HE can save the World, but by telling me that I MUST save the world. For the past many years I have looked on and complained at what was going on around me. Thinking, "How could this happen in this great country? How could our leaders let things get so bad?" What I did not realize was that voting is just the first step in making real change. You must then be informed, then show up, then take action and make your voice heard. Not just at the ballet box, but by starting a blog, sending a letter, donating some money, showing up in the public gallery, sitting on a committee, running for office and more, more, more.

You have to do what you can, not what is easy. Watching the news dribble and the spectacle should not serve to pacify you, it should be inspiration to turn off the TV and go sign up for something.

This is what Barack Obama means to me. This is my chance to put action behind the words. My chance to show my children what it means to take back our country. What it truly means to be a democracy and why America is the greatest country in the World.

Please reach deep in your heart, look in your soul. You know this is the way it should be. The way it was supposed to be all along. Let us get Barack Obama to the White House, let's get off our asses and make this happen. For the love of our country, the love of communities, the love of neighbors and the love of our children.

I'm not going to judge people but Obama does seem to be the lesser of two evils.

On the other hand, what has (post WW2) Israel EVER done for the U.S.A? Every president gives Israel weapons. Every president gives Israel's enemies weapons. Every president feigns shock when they use these weapons on each other. Every president tries to make peace in the final years of their presidency.
Yet every time Israel attacks its enemies, even when out of retaliation, the "extremist" countries focus only on the fact that America funded Israel's aggression.

Hillary just declared herself as aspiring Empress of the Middle East the other night, but Obama's message was one of "same old politics" regarding Israel, not one of real change.

Real change would be to stop meddling in the Middle East politics, Israel included. American-funded weapons have have killed hundreds of Jews in Israel over the years. It would seem obvious than any self-respecting Jew would demand that America stop sending money to the region.

Geoff Garin's tempered appearance on Russert was a big reminder of Hillary's utter failure as a campaign organizer. Garin who is very new to his position on her campaign had to be somewhat embarrassed by Axlerod and Russert knowing more of Hillary's position statements than he did. The continuing campaign chaos Hillary has permitted is one reason why Garin is new to his position on her campaign, neither of which is much of a compliment to her skills as an executive. Good to hear. I'm Jewish and a strong Obama supporter. Some of the attacks leveled against him for supposed "anti-Semitism" are from people who care nothing about the Jewish community. Right wing Christian extremists have been trying to force their religion down Jewish people's throats for years and now they think that by out-Likuding the Democrats they can peel off some Jewish votes. Failing that in 2004, they've now turned to sending vicious and dishonest emails around to Jews, scaring them about Obama's supposed anti-Semitism, when the people pushing these lies are genuine anti-Semites in the first place.

There are many Jews who support Hillary Clinton and many Jews who support Barack Obama. It's important that we make the decision based on who is truly best for the Democratic Party and for America and not based on some right-wing slime.
