But President Carter isn't meeting with them as per the U.S. diplomatic strategy - he's meeting with them despite U.S. diplomatic strategy to the contrary.

I'm as critical as anyone of the Bush Administration when it comes to foreign policy, but until President Bush leaves office, he's still the only president we have. For a former president to defy the current administration with such a sensitive visit is worthy of criticism.

Whether President Carter likes it or not, he'll never be just another private citizen. He's a former president. Its a similar criticism to how President Clinton may be diminishing the prestige of the office by acting like a Wolfson-clone campaign hack. He's not a private citizen, and not just a candidate's wife - he's a former president.

Obama talks about PA race, Hamas

I would hope msnbc will have some kind of an investigative report on the voting fraud hillary and camp are undertaking today, you are going to report on this tonight, right? we'll all be watching

Obama talks about PA race, Hamas

he is pandering for the Jewish vote, and I don't blame him because wright hurt him on the jewish vote....

be smart listen and learn... he is no hypocrite he is softening the blow the right wingers set
Obama talks about PA race, Hamas

To "Democrat", actually you are wrong. The Hamas political party won the majority of seats in the most recent Palestinian elections for parliament. That makes them the majority ruling party, and that is when the US said it would not deal with terrorist organizations and froze Palestinian assets.

Hamas is both a political party and a radical islamic group bent on the creation of a Palestinian state and the destruction of Israel. They are one and the same.

Obama talks about PA race, Hamas

Hamas is the actual government.. they were elected, labeling them plain terrorist organization is both misleading and dehumanizing. President Carter knows that they have to be involved in the peace agreement if there will be any change what so ever for a lasting peace in the Middle East. Hamas elected to join the political process instead of working as underground group. They were cursed by Bin Laden and Alzawahri for doing so. The government here should give them a chance to prove they can join the political process. Only that will get rid of the radical ideology that has polluted the Middle east now for decades. Prove to them that there is no use of joining the political process by supporting a puppet that is generally hated in the occupied Palestine will get us no where but more wars for the next 50 years.
Obama talks about PA race, Hamas

Now that I think about it, Pat I can see your point, the are the elected Parliment, but still are considered terrorist. Interesting, because Palestine is as you say not a state and thus the PLO and Hamas make up... what? I don't what to call it LOL

Obama talks about PA race, Hamas

Common Democrat (Sent Tuesday, April 22, 2008 3:26 PM)

He is NOT a racist, and you can't come up with PROOF that he is. Just you saying it, doesn't make it so.

The DNC is not 'shoving Obama' down your throat, that would be the millions who voted for him who are doing that.

Slander and libel are serious offenses, stop it now.
