Jim Clyburn as always been a purveyor of RACE BAITING and the obama camp sending him out on the eve of North Carolina primary which have a large black population is suspect. Wright and Sen. Obama, but does anyone really understand how real Sen. Obama's judgment is?

Clinton and McCain have said that that would have left the church...well I applaud Sen. Obama for not leaving the church. A church is more that its pastor, a church is a community. The good this church has done for the community far outweighs the sound bites of Rev. Wright’s unfortunate choice of words.

Had Sen. Obama left the church, he would have left the very people he has been fighting for his entire career. Perhaps Sen. Clinton and Sen. McCain should read the entire sermon. Perhaps they should have read the entire Iraq study guide as well; evidently these two make their decisions from sound bites.

Sen. Obama shows that he is thoughtful, caring, honest, very intelligent and a fair person. He has strength of character his opponent’s lack. He also has an extraordinary sense of judgment that his opponents also lack. I believe he is the type of person we want leading our Country back from the brink of disaster.

Obama 08
Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

Is Obama playing the "it's just politics" card to tell the American public one thing and his friends something else. Well, I guess Wright should know since he's been Obama's pastor and mentor for 20 years. What deceit!

Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

What makes all these ads worse is that all the idiotic media outlets play these ads over and over and over and over and over and over (for FREE), at the same time that they decry them even being made.

Anything to make a buck.

It's a wonder why we can't ever talk about the important issues, like people losing their houses, or people DYING in Iraq, or people spending half their paycheck just driving back and forth to work.

Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

"After all, isn't this the same state that wants to fly the Confederate Flag everywhere?"

Actually, that's South Carolina.

Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

UGH! You could be blind and still not want to vote for Obama. He is all style and no substance. Stick a cardboard cutout up on the camera and spout "Change, Hope, Yes We Can" over and over and the worshippers would still faint.
Momoffive (Sent Thursday, April 24, 2008 11:45 AM)

------------------------------------------------------

But it's ok to worship a white Jesus? Reverend Wright is a patriot who served this country honorably as a marine and to paint his career otherwise using those sound bites is an attempt to diminish the important work he has done for this country and his community.
Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

Is this the America Cindy McCain and the Republican Right said they've always been so proud of?

Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

You're all a bunch of ignorant yankees! I can say that as a native New Yorker happily transplanted in NC (after a 10 year stint in CA). First, the "Stars and Bars" flag flap is in SC, *not* NC. There IS a difference. Second, Purdue and Moore are DEMOCRATRIC candidates not Republican. Daves is a GOP operative commenting on the dirty fighting among the DEMS!! The Republican candidates are running a much more civil and issue-oriented campaign. Hopefully this year we will be able to throw the corrupt and incestuous Dems out of power at the state level and start over with a fresh and constructive leadership in this state. Accountability, people... accountability...

Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

When will politicians learn that negative campaiging brings negative voting? I refuse to vote for either Purdue or Moore as a result...sorry folks...you lose!

Dem NC Gov race just got nastier

From CC, Boston: "Well it is NC. I wonder if the starch the sheets or Iron the befor puting them in the closet?"

"Well," Boston, I am a born and bred Yankee who also lived in the Heartland for many years. I am now living very happily in northwest NC, after several decades of part-time residence. This is a very progressive community, believe it or not, probably more so than Boston. Attack Linda Daves all you want; she deserves it, but not North Carolina. And, incidentally, did any of you read Sandy Grady's column in "USAToday" Monday before the Pennsylvania primary. I am a native Philadelphia, and Grady was a columnist for the "Evening Bulletin" for many years, before its demise. He was very prescient in describing the negative role that racist attitudes might play in the Pennsylvania primary. Exit polls seem to indicate he was right. Sen Obama is going to win big hear not just because of the black vote, but there are LOTS of white people here that support his candidacy. Hillary and Bill are spending most of their time campaigning in the less educated parts of the state where they feel they can bamboozle the people there into believe she's a "fighter." In reality, she's only fighting for her own quest for power.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 15 to 20 point victory in NC.

And, it's kinda funny to hear the radio ads from the dems gubernatorial candidates. On the black radio stations, they both tout their strong support of Obama. Moore even has a radio ad that says "Richard Moore was the FIRST candidate to support Barack Obama..."
