Hillary’s 2008 presidential campaign has always been about the Clintons’ own self-interests. Hillary started her campaign believing she was headed for a coronation; a sense of entitlement that screamed “I deserve to be president.” She has deliberately tried to undermine Obama’s electability in the general election, knowing that would be disastrous for the Democrats in November. She has engaged in what can only be described as the ‘kamikaze strategy’ - (‘I’ll destroy Obama before I’ll let him win!’) Is Hillary trying to set Obama up for a November loss so that she can be the Democratic candidate in 2012?

It is ludicrous for Hillary to argue that “Obama cannot win” against John McCain. It is Hillary who cannot win a general election among all 50 states. In the Democratic primary – it is a majority of the Democrats who are voting against Hillary. She has a chronic problem with how she is viewed by the majority of voters; her ratings for honesty, favorability and trustworthiness are in a steady decline this year. How can Hillary expect to win a general election where Republicans and Independents will be in the voting mix? She is either delusional or underhandedly hoping to damage Obama so he will lose to John McCain and she, therefore, will be the Democratic frontrunner in 2012. Kinda of like getting another bite at the apple. Crazy? Not nearly as crazy at Hillary’s campaign tactics. Her repugnant presidential campaign is the second major fiasco over which Hillary has presided, ‘Hillarycare’ being the first. A recent AP poll found that Obama has as much a chance of defeating John McCain as does Hillary.

I don't think either one of them is worth their weight in water. Obama is a better speaker, he is more passionate when he speaks and he seems to want to be a person who can change the world. I gave him a pass on his relationships in the church in with Rezco, due to the fact there has been no serious proof that either Rezco or Wright have seriously hurt him in any way shape of form.

Having said that, I would have to drink a case of Jack Daniels and follow it with a beer keg chaser before I would even consider walking into a voter booth and vote for The Clinton's. Ho can you trust a campaign that has raised over $189 million dollars and is still in the hole? Having read through some of The Clinton's campaign spending, it is pretty obvious that they do not know how to use money properly, so I doubt they would know how to spend the people's money wisely as well. Hillary approaches this campaign as her own and she will expects to be president, she does not want to earn it. Her plans have backfire and rip off written all over them.

When you look at these two people, you know why John McCain will be the next president of the United States.

The only reasonable, possible explanation to the Wright/Obamba debacle is that Obama agreed with his mentor for 20 YEARS. I watched Bill Moyers' interview with Rev. Jeremiah Wright. I also watched the speech he gave to the Detroit NAACP last night.

I guarantee that the critics of Rev. Wright and of Sen. Obama posting on this blog will not be able to make either of the above statements.

Rev. Wright is a whole lot smarter than he has been given credit for being by his critics. He is a lot more complex than a 30-second sound bite can demonstrate.

My advice to the GOP and to the Clinton Campaign is quite simple:

If you want to stop the Obama Campaign you're going to have to stick with Senator Obama himself because Rev. Wright is WAAAAAAAAY out of your league!

I think what the country is now seeing in big numbers is buyer's remorse. From the middle of January - March, we heard a lot of inspirational talk with no substance. Then a few skeletons were revealed, kool-aid effect started to weaken, and many began asking "who is this guy? what does he really stand for?" The middle class started to realize that if they did not speak up, this country was surely going down the tubes.

Who votes for him?
- new young voters, with not a lot of experience at trying to make ends meet
- affluent liberals that have few if any financial woes
In other words...the McGovern crowd...very important groups, but they don't speak for the masses.
There are many Americans (like my parents) on the verge of retirement, that have worked hard and saved for their future, that want to make sure the economy holds, so they don't need to think about reentering the work force.

We need to focus on how to fix the economy.

We know that Americans are still yearning for answers, otherwise the PA debate would have not had such a large viewing audience. Maybe it was a bust...but we still need answers.

Hillary gives solutions that are real...he in fact, just gives speeches.

BTW...Rev. Wright (for republicans) is the gift that just keeps on giving.

He must stay above the fray and keep pushing his concrete plans that encompass hope and change! They will try to drag you down to their level and if they do, you can get stuck there permanently.

If Senator Obama really wants to connect with Hillary's constituency he has to do it in person, through mail and on television. Blue-collar people also like fun and feeling like they are important. It is the reason that traveling preachers, high-energy evangelistic churches and carnivals are still so popular. Internet savvy and geriatric don't go together. Internet savvy and working-class is hit-or-miss. Debates aren't watched by someone who is working or when it conflicts with prime-time. They are watched by the Jerry Springer crowd only if they are like the last farce in Pennsylvania. Debates are useless. He has basically stated this in his response to Senator Clinton about the debates.

This is why Senator Obama should go back to big speeches in small towns. If he keeps ignoring her and addressing the people directly he will eat into her base very effectively. Senator Clinton attacked Barack Obama for his speeches because for him it is a strength and for her it is a weakness, not because they lack substance. She is incapable of anything high-energy or motivating unless it is in an us-against-them (polarizing) situation. If Senator Obama really wants to counter back about this one all he has to do is ask "I am able to attract thousands of people to an enthusiastic rally whether it is in a big town or small town, why can't she? What is it about me that she doesn't have?"

Let her answer the questions. He doesn't have to anymore.

1) Obama is an attractive bi-cultural candidate who promises to bring blacks, whites and other Americans together unlike any previous candidate. Strategy: use guilt by association to paint him as a closet racist.

Yes, I know that this is what the Clinton campaign would like you to believe, but is it really the case? I have heard it repeated *so many times* but I have yet to hear any concrete examples of what the real difference is. She claims she has more "experience" -- can you name any? She says that she has a record of accomplishment -- what is it? She says that Obama only gives speeches -- but just what is that she is doing?

If you compare Obama's legislative record with Clinton's, he comes out looking better. If you add on to that the things that he managed to do in Illinois, he looks even better still. On the other hand, any time that she has brought up something resembling a specific claim about her own accomplishments, it tends to wither upon scrutiny (pick your example: bring peace to the north of Ireland; opening borders for refugees in Kosovo; bravely dodging sniper fire in Bosnia; supposedly having written SCHIP; effectively pushing NAFTA while her husband was president and then claiming the exact opposite when it was convenient for her to do so; voting for the war without bothering to read the NIE ... and, of course, the early healthcare debacle which earned us a Republican Congress and Newt Gingrich).

And then there is her campaign. If she were to manage an administration they that she has managed her campaign (no plan after early February; mounting debt despite early record donation levels; desperate dismissals of half the country as irrelevant for the sole fact that they didn't voter for her; big, big salaries for friends working on the campaign, but failing to pay health insurance for staff for over a month...) I find it hard to believe that she would be anything short of an enormous dissapointment, to put it mildly.

Compare that with Obama's campaign. This has got to be the most efficient campaign in decades, and without resorting to "kitchen sink strategies," or claiming that his Republican opponent is better suited for the job than his Democratic rival. He has run this campaign across the entire country, laying the groundwork for Democratic Party organizing for local and state elections in places like Oklahoma and Virginia. Hillary, on the other hand, has decided that non-coastal Dems don't matter and that our votes really needn't bother being counted.

So, for Hillary supporters, I'd like to hear answers to two simple questions that for some reason the MSM doesn't bother to ask:

1. From hear on out, exactly *how* does Hillary win the nomination? Please give some specifics, something along the lines of the Obama campaign's February spreadsheets.

2. What exactly is her relevant experience that we keep hearing so much about? I'd be especially interested in hearing exactly how she "crossed the commander-in-chief threshold."

I'm waiting, but after waiting for several months to get satisfactory answers on these things, I will not be holding my breath.

The media is saturating the news with Wright's most outrageous comments. The only balanced report I have heard is from NPR that put it in perspective of context. Many of McCain's supporters are just as wacko, but we don't see or hear any of them. Hillary used to help radical leftists but why are they escaping scrutiny? You guys over-analyze things, I think. Candidates alter their stump speeches all the time; especially now that the stump speeches get so much coverage. If they didn't, you'd criticize them for saying the same things over, and over, and over again.

Before the cable campaign coverage onslaught, candidates did say the same things over, and over... But no one except the insiders' insiders realized it. Having the blanket coverage helps in some cases, because for instance Bill Clinton can't get away with the crap he's used to getting away with.

But it also hurts in that it creates too much familiarity with all the candidates (I feel like I could give the Obama or Clinton stump speech, and I've never heard either given in person), and familiarity breeds contempt. Because of the media, we're bound to end up with presidents from now on that nobody likes too much.

First of all, Rev. Wright does not exist nor did he ever exist to either hurt or help Barack Obama's campaign. Obama is one member of his church - one of thousands with all types of professions. Where is the law or mandate that suggest Wright should be silent because one of his members is running for President?

Wright is not "back" from anything. This is what the man does. He speaks at public engagements, he writes books, he delivers sermons. He didn't just start this "lately." This is his livelyhood and way of life. Why should he all of a sudden be muted because some people either don't like or are not used to his way of preaching? That notion is ridiculous and suggests that candidates can't ever have a confidante, religious leader, or mentor that doesn't fit into the "model" that some of us think he should. What's next, do we go around analyzing everything that every supporter of every presidential candidate says?

Obama explained his position on Wright, who by the way is no longer the pastor of his church, and that should be sufficient. It is beyond irritating that the media continues to label Wright's speeches as speaking out. This is what the man does. He's a preacher and a pastor. Not a politician. He should not have to be silent because of Obama. If that's the case, when should he speak again? After Obama locks the nomination? No not then, because him speaking could hurt the general election? So after that? Oh no, Rev. Wright, don't say anything then, you'll hurt his approval ratings. Give me a break. I am a supporter of Obama but I certainly do NOT agree with the idea of silencing Rev. Wright. They are two different people with two different lively hoods. The media needs to stop suggesting that Obama can control Wright's mouth or that he should. All of us need to stick to the issues and concentrate on getting republicans out of office so we can afford to buy food and gas! Leave Rev. Wright alone and move on. As an adult who was raised in a blue collar home (and very proud of it) I find the comments suggesting that Obama has disenfranchised that group to be ridiculous. My dad worked in a bakery and retired at age 62 making $36,000 annually - and if he were still on this earth he would embrace Senator Obama because he is committed to moving this country forward with a new agenda - a new approach - and a new attitude. This approach will help working class people - doing things the same way will not. As a country we deserve someone who believes that there is more than one way lead a nation. We may not have another opportunity like this for generations - let's not blow it by electing someone who virtually guarantees more of the same old, same old.

Are you kidding?! While there are many different ways to define "elitism" I think that most people view it from a socioeconomic context. And if this is the case, I think you (and the blue-collar workers to whom you refer) have been bamboozled by the Clintons, McCain and others.

1. Obama has earned less money than either the Clintons or the McCains. He's not worth 100 million dollars like they are.

2. Obama grew up in a poor environment and even lived in a Third World country for a while. In contrast, the Clintons own at least two mansions and Hillary grew up in one of the richest suburbs in Chicago.

3. Obama was raised by a single mother; and there were times when he was on food stamps growing up. This is a lot different from McCain's and Hillary's upbringing.

4. Obama attended public schools, he went to college on scholarship, and he and Michelle only recently got their school loans paid off! In comparison, Bill and Hill were able to write a check to pay for Chelsea's education. And when Hillary mismanaged her campaign she was able to write a $5 million check to herself! HELLO!!!

5. Oh yeah, and Obama's grandmother still lives in a HUT with no running water and plumbing!

So what EXACTLY makes Obama an elitist? Is it because he knows that many of us who are struggling in this economy are indeed BITTER?!!!! Or is it because he eats arugula?

I would hope he'd tailor some of his message to external events and current locale. Just as I'd hope
he wouldn't stick to one game plan for 4 years of a presidency regardless of what's going on in reality.
We've had that for 7 years. Doesn't work 'real good'.
Thing is, he doesn't have to be a chameleon and go into weekly transformation like Sen. Clinton, changing who you are.
She had the nerve to say in IN that "she never thought she'd be running for office...". How do people

I have seen the whole Bill Moyers Interview with Rev Wright and also his speech at the Detroit NAACP dinner. He is smart, intelligent, a brilliant scholar of the Bible and also funny. At one time I was laughing hard when he compared the marching bands. I can see now how the 4 thirty second inflammatory clips distort who he is. He is a very complex man. I believe he loves people and his country. If the Republicans have only those four Rev Wright clips for November to oppose Obama, they better go back to the drawing board. My support for Obama is even stronger and I have just made another donation this morning. Obama is what American needs for President now, not to-morrow or in 5 years.
