I've said it before as have others but if the superdelegates wanted to support Clinton, they would have already done so. Obama is still somewhat of a wait and see but Clinton is a known quantity. That says that many are hoping Obama continues to be the winner but they are unwilling to risk Clinton wrath if they're wrong.

But no matter the "new" math that the Clintons are using, Obama is the winner. The Clintons nearly ruined the Democratic party while in office by neglect plus voter's disgust at his sexual misconduct with a young intern brought us Bush.

It is time to move forward. The worry about losing to McCain is wrong. Yes, Repubs will be nasty and we'll see more of Rev. Wright than his congregation but at some point McCain will falter. The hypocrisy of his high and mighty tone coupled with lobbyist friends and his lack of verbal acuity will finally get his scrutinized by the media, something he's avoided due to the Clinton circus.

It's all about the Delegates.

Point Number 1: If the popular vote determined the nominee, no candidate would ever go to Iowa or New Hampshire. They'd spend all their time in big urban areas all over the country from the outset of the campaign, racking up raw numbers. What would be the point of even visiting New Hampshire if you could camp out in Brooklyn? Concrete Example: Barack Obama would not have spent only a day and a half in California before the Feb 5 primary. He would have never gone to Idaho. Duh.

Point Number 2: If the popular vote determined the nominee, no state in its right mind would ever hold a caucus, instantly disenfranchising itself. Concrete example: Minnesota-Missouri. Minnesota gets credit for 214K votes, and Missouri gets 822K votes, but they each get 72 delegates. Is Missouri's voice 4 times more important than Minnesota's?

Point Number 3: The arbitrary distinction between who gets to vote in these primaries is nothing like the general election, where everyone registered gets to vote. In the primaries, sometimes it's just Dems, sometimes Dems and Indies, sometimes anyone. Concrete example: Texas gets a million more votes than similar overall population New York (2.8M to 1.8M), even though New York is far more Democratic, simply due to this arbitrary restriction on who can vote (NY = closed, Texas = open).

Overall point: regardless of the fact that Obama will win the popular vote, it is completely illegitimate in this race. THIS IS NOT LIKE POPULAR VOTE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION.

Even with the "Wright Nontroversy" the drip continues. Clinton has made it QUITE obvious that she doesn't give a sh*t about her own party, or the people whose votes she's courting. She didn't give a crap about blue collar voters until she needed them.

I have such utter disgust for this soul-less woman, that it can not be described in words.

What about Edwards 18 or so Delegates?

With such a small margin, could he could still be kingmaker.

If Edwards endorses candidate X, are his delegates obligated to vote for candidate X or do they become, in effect, superdelegates?

Anybody with thoughts or answers.

Since the PA primary (which was decided by less than 10% after having been 25% before campaigning)all of the media has been writing about is Obama's "unelectability".

I would think, given Obama's lead in delegates, states won and general vote that we should be talking about the upcoming General Election.

I am a mid-60's white disenfranchised voter who hasn't participated in elections since the early 60's (always a choice of the lesser of evils).

It would please me no end to see the other supers pledge their support of Obama so this b.s. can end and the election process continue.

Here we go again - another Senator who seems to have missed the Clinton pronouncement that Obama is unelectable. Why, I asked, have 18 Democratic senators not seen the light? And what about those 14 Democratic governors as well? What's wrong with these people? Don't they understand that the queen's corornation cannot be undone by the will of the people?

This is good news. However, I feel that the coverage given to the Rev. Wright is way off base. It is as if you are campaigning for McHillary all day long..This has taken a rather sharp turn, since the debate. I feel it has more to do with the Obliteration Theory that Clinton espoused, than any other issue. She did not do so well that your turning on a dime so suddenly, merits. I was especially disgusted during the bitter controversy, I counted your correspondents saying bitter 12 times in less that 1/2 hour. You are not fooling anyone.
