It was funny watching Keith Olberman last night on the Msnbc/Obama news network. He kept asking his panel: "What does Obama have to do to get past the Wright controversy?" Olberman sounded desperate, as though he just wanted Rev. Wright to go away so that the Obama love-fest could go on.

Question: If the press is supposed to question candidates, like Obama, who want to hold public power, then why is Msnbc so in love with Obama?

I enjoy what the Dem congress is doing that the GOP congress utterly failed to do for the previous six years -- issue subpoenas, ask questions, hold hearings, block Bush on illegal wiretapping, and attempt to hold this runaway, rogue administration accountable. It's a nice dig but I'm sorry the record does not bear it out. Bush has vetoed 9 bills in his term in office. You'd have to go back to Warren Harding to find a President that has had fewer vetos and even further to James Monroe to find one that served 2 full terms with fewer vetos.

Smith said by phone this morning that she still doesn't know if Reynolds supports Clinton, and doesn't care either way.

"Reverend Wright is newsworthy, period," Smith said.

But Wright wasn't as newsworthy two years ago when Reynolds first pitched Barack Obama's controversial pastor as a potential speaker for the press club, according to Smith.

At that time, the speaker's committee--of which Reynolds is now a part of, but wasn't at the time--didn't move forward with selecting Wright.

When are you gutless cowardly republicans going to admit rebulican tax cuts only benefit the wealthy. Tax cuts for the wealthy does not produce one new job and every tax cut ends with a recession. The only reason we got out of the last recession was because interest rates dropped to 1%. W's tax cuts did not stimulate the economy enough to change or get us out of the last recession. But once the interest rates got to 1% then the consumer and businesses went drunk with cheap money. Republican economic policies only help the rich, produce few jobs and always ends in recessions. Is this the type of economy you want? Then vote republican. If you like jobs, healthy economy, and your fellow americans then vote democrat. It is as simple as this.

Shame on Bush, trying to blame others for his mess!
When is he going to take responsibility for dragging us into this quagmire? The economy isn't broken because of Congress, it is broken because Bush's math doesn't add up. No leader in the HISTORY OF CIVILIZATION has ever cut taxes while fighting a war! We've spent TRILLIANS in Iraq and Afghanistan-- where do you think that money's coming from? Bush's stupid unnecessary wars siphoned the money out of our pockets and flushed it straight down the sandy toilet that is the Middle East. We might as well all skip having kids, because America is going to be broke for the next three generations, no matter WHO wins the next election!

We will always have a do nothing congress. Mr Obama should cut ther salaries by 50% and no more pay raises until they something accomplished. The Gitmo, free them and drop them in the middle of the Pacific Ocean or put them on the ROCK in SF Bay Area. ongress needs to stop saying not in my back yard. Take me up on my ideal. We have alot of smart congressional members who are idiots that do noy care about us taxpayers, so wake up american. If congress dabates everything, Mr Obama should find away to replace all members in Congress.
