He has never been all that much a part of the NC Democratic Party organization and he doesn't have a state wide organization like Governors Rendell or Strickland. He has a reputation here in NC for mostly being the laziest governor in state history and he spends most of his time, and lots of taxpayer money at his beach house on the coast. Were it not for his top two aides running the governor's office, NC would have had a vacancy in the office for the past 8 years.

Governor Easily (Sold to the highest bidder) can probably only deliver the votes of his redneck racist buddies in 10 or 12 southeastern NC counties.

Obama in '08 and North Carolina will elect a REAL GOVERNOR in '08!

Saturday nooner: Clinton, NC, Obama

I find your treatment of NC as if an upset was possible or even suggested by current polls, well, strange. It is highly unlikely and even if it is not impossible, there is nothing in the polls that suggest we are anywhere close to such a scenario. I mean his average poll numbers in NC are higher than her average was in PA.
As an Obama supporter I am glad the expectations for Hillary are so out-of-whack this time (karma for Oh/TX/PA) but this is a little silly.
Real expectations should be that IN is a close state in which Hillary seems to have the momentum. And NC is a demographically very favorable state for Obama that he should win comfortably, even if not with the margins his supporters could have hoped for two weeks ago.
But CW expectations this weekend seems to be that IN will go for Hillary and that NC is tight.
Interesting.
Saturday nooner: Clinton, NC, Obama

Thank you for simply printing facts. This was before and after her prison time I think.Has anyone heard about this part of the story? This guy has so many skeltons the closet door wont close anymore. They are tunbling out now though. He made the Ayers friendship sound so aloof. He parcels what he has to no more. The new politian. changes he will make. The boards he and wife sat on will make a story of there own.

Saturday nooner: Clinton, NC, Obama

I am from Oregon and saw Hils commercial.....

She looks nice and well rested.........

But she is still full of sh*t.....

I will be voting for the one who inspires all to make a difference, who says it just isn't about him, it's about all of us and what we want for our Country, I want honesty and integrity, not pandering to get votes and then forget you after your vote....

I am almost 40, white and a little bitter about the way washington has been run, and it looks like Huckabee Hil wants to be the next Bush lately

I can't wait to vote here in oregon for Barack Obama
Saturday nooner: Clinton, NC, Obama

BIG THING to watch is that for 2 days now Obama has been trending up (and Clinton down) in all the tracking polls. All the stories are being written about polls from Late April thru May 1st (now ancient history!!). Wright story is dying, Gas taxes and Obama focusing on issues and working class voters is more current. Surely Obam is getting some bounce back toward his former support level. Thus, as we head to the election, the trend is shifting toward him. The Sunday AM news show apearances will probably set the final tone.

Saturday nooner: Clinton, NC, Obama

If Ace Smith is such a genius, why does Obama have more Texas delegates?

Saturday nooner: Clinton, NC, Obama

CHUCK, what are you guys doing at MSNBC!!
You ran the Rev Wright story for a full hour Friday night 6-7pm PST. I attended two of the causes before I just gave up on the process. Living in an urban center and very out numbered by Obama supporters, who jeered and shouted people down and before the voting for delegates began and out of almost 100 supporters, only 19 stayed for the vote. On the second, after 6 hours of shouting, yelling and abusive conduct, my wife and I did not care to stay there any longer. Being a delegate (I am life long Democrat), it was not worth it to keep try to be one of the delegates from my district. I bet you those boos were coming from the same types that was at my causes.

Saturday nooner: Clinton, NC, Obama

E. Does she really think that Iran will acquire nuclear capabilities during her presidency, although the recent NIE stated otherwise? Is she prepared detonate a nuclear weapon in the Middle East? How does she feel about killing tens of thousands of civilians? Does she think that Israel's possession of nuclear warheads is not already enough of a deterrent against nuclear strike? As for OPEC, is it realistic to claim that the US, given its current dependence on oil, could exert enough influence to break up OPEC? What effect would that have on oil prices? Political and economic stability? Your overt bias for Hillary and disdain for Obama was amazing. I actually called my husband into the FR where I had my laptop to read parts of it aloud to him. I guess I am one of those 'white liberal elites' you mention, if by that remark you were saying anyone who is white and has a degree and lives in a nice neighborhood and voted for Obama is somehow an elite liberal. I confess to being somewhat liberal on certain issues, but I have never considered myself 'elite.' I remember when you first started as Political Director at MSNBC you made a disclaimer that your wife worked in the McCain campaign. I assumed that you would temper any bias you might have because of that. Sadly, I have picked up not so subtle snide remarks about Obama from you throughout this campaign. You have always given Hillary every benefit of the doubt but rarely to Obama. But this article is really over-the-top! I know you say that Obama will most likely win the nomination, but that has been a given since March 4 if the principal nominating metric of Pledged Delegates is used. After her close win in Ohio - and actual loss in delegates in Texas - it became virtually impossible for her to overtake his lead. So you do, at least, in this latest story acknowledge that he will most likely be the nominee - but it is your disdain and loathing for Obama that shines through. I really am amazed. Everyone knows that McCain wants to run against Hillary and people like Buchanan, Kristol, and Scarborough singing her praises is pitifully transparent. But I expected better from you.
