In reading some of the comments on these blogs, I am completely put off by most of the Obama supporters. It is so obvious so many of you are of a more uncivilized nature and have no respect for anything or anyone. In a fight for power you have been devious, deceitful and vulgar and a mirror reflection of your candidate. If there is any hope for this nation and the world, it does not lie in the campaign of Barack Obama.

It saddens me that so many of you do not realize that the Clintons have sacrificed and paid their dues in life so that you could live in a free society. Whether or not you agree with everything they have been or done, you still owe them respect and gratitude for their service to this country. You do not owe them your vote or your support but you at least could be half way civil in your remarks about them.

I can only hope that the very youngest of our society will grow up with more civility and with a sense of dignity that the Obama campaign people do not possess.

It seems that the mainstream media view a win for Obama in NC and a win for Clinton in Indiana as essentially a tie. This is easy conventional wisdon, but it is wrong. Obama has a lead in the delegate count of 154 pledged delegates and 139 delegates including the Superdelegates. A tie for Clinton is in reality bad news for her campaign.

Before NC and IN vote, there are approximately 410 delegates left to be chosen in primaries/caucuses. After today, there will be about 210 delegates left. Therefore, if she ties today, she has to make up the same ground among a smaller pool of remaining delegates. (i.e. she will need a higher percentage of the remaining delegates). Thus her chances of winning the nomination actually fade if there is a tie today.

I called my son and daughter-in-law in Valpo today to remind them to vote. I offered to give them each $30 to vote for Barack. They laughed and said they saw through the pander and planned to vote for him anyway. My daughter-in-law remarked, however, Obama spent little or no time in Hobart, Merriville, Valo, etc..Co-workers said since he spent his time in Gary, East Chicago, and Indy that he only cared about the black vote, not the "suburban white" vote. I thought this could be a damaging perception, especially since she remarked homw much time Hiil and Bill spent in those communities. Media has been awful in all of this. Double standard: Why doesn't Hillary go after McCain in his embracing of Hagee's support, or the media do the same. Remember many presidents have claimed Billy Graham as a "spiritual advisor", a man who a number of years after Nazi annihilation of Europe's Jews, was still able to bring forth blatant anti-semitic comments and that was OK? Is any of this mentioned when going after Wright, as the media is so anxious to do, and to show the link between Obama and Wright, unfounded and specious, and seldom mentioning the good works Wright's church has done in So Chicago, as though that was just incidental. Obama will lose the white vote 62% to 37%. With over 1.5 million people expected to vote, and with the white vote making up almost two thirds of the expected vote, this equates to 620,000 to Obama's 370,000 votes. A difference of 250,000 votes. Hillary will lose the black vote 10% to 90%. With the black turn out expected to be 33% of the overall vote, this equates to 450,000 to Hillary's 50,000. A difference of 400,000 votes. The hispanic vote makes up a very small percentage of the expected vote. With that being said, Obama will win N.C by about 150,000 votes which is 10% of the expected turn out. Depending on how the hispanic vote break Obama will win by 8 to 10 points. You can take that to the bank.
