At least he hasnt sold his sole like Hillary and McSame has.

Hillary, give it up before you go down in history as the great spoiler. You have burned your bridges now you are throwing gasoline on any hope of a VP spot. It would have been nice to see both of you in the White House, but now I think Obama even concidering you as VP would be a huge mistake. I still like Bill but he killed Gores chance and in all truth bears sole responsibility for Bush being in office and this country being in the shape it is in. I would not like to see Obama's chances to leave a historic legacy end in a Bill clinton screwup like gore suffered.

It is truley a shame you had to throw away the chance to be the first woman vice president in history. It is a bigger shame that you just did not have the long term vision to do what is right for this country, our party or the Americas people. Every one of the continders that dropped out did so with honor and grace knowing that by doing so they could have a second chance. Your throwing that away now by trying to blackmail Obama into paying you to stop destroying the party and our chances at the presidency. Shame on you!

I have no doubt Obama will be a great president. He does have the vision to know exactly how his legacy will effect black, minority and even female Americans for generations to come.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

Hillary Clinton is a narcissistic, classless, prude. Mika must have had cotton in her ears, because Jon Edwards said he agreed with her statement. Lets take a look at the MSNBC Morning Joe Show and Political Coverage team. OH MY GOSH it is predomiantly "WHITE." Oh, they do bring in African Americans to comment. Mighty "white" of them! Joe you should never let Mika alone with your show. MSNBC has been so pro-Obama at the beginning of the campaign, that I almost quit viewing. But then Joe started making nice with Senator Clinton or at least fairly. Thanks Joe! I have been disgusted with Mika , but today she was more disgusting. I would rather watch BILL-O than Meeka! I am caucasion, 59 years old, college educated, disabled American Veteran and female. I have been a democrat all my life and support Senator Clinton with great pride and I would walk through the Gates of Hell for her. I will not vote for Mr. Obama, unless Senator Clinton is on the ticket. If Bill and Hillary would change to a third party ticket, they would win hands down. I will not support John MaCain, but if not Hillary than Ralph Nadar. Sorry Morning Joe Show Mika crossed the line this time, you have lost this viewer.
Clinton: Playing the race card?

I refuse to believe that Hillary didn't know she was making a statement that could divide the Democratic Party. She couldn't have been more transparent if she had walked up to John McCain, shook hands, and told him good luck in November in front of a national TV audience.
I guess Hillary thought she couldn't win the Democratic nomination with out making that distinction. I hate negative politics, and this is why. I was willing to blame the Republicans for the way they would always characterize Democrats.
Well, I am a hard working, white American, middle class member that will vote for Barack Obama in the upcoming general election, even if Hillary should get the nomination for the Democrats. Why is it when a Caucasian American, which society is using the term "White American" uses data to show voter turn out, its called Racial?
If anyone plays the race card its Obama, he openly uses his race to try to sway voters. I watch him openly play that position in an interview. Those that take statements which come from data and think these remarks are racial, hold racism within their heart,; the comments themselves are not! our politicians should be ashamed of themselves, because they are in fact using their vote & his race to forward their political positions, not because they believe in him. He has offered nothing and cannot lead or unite anything, he has offered nothing but a staement that he wants to see change; we all do; but how? That is what he has not offered to America. Hillary is behind because of Florida & Michagan delegates are not being allowed to be used; how unfair is that? This historical election is going to go down in the history books as a failure once again. We look stupid abroad because two of our largest States cannot be heard. These Govenors need to be removed from office and the States forced to hold new Primaries. Its our Constitutional right to vote & the Democratic party should not be able to say we cannot. I cannot believe that people do not think this is a republican conspiracy to allow their candidate to be better positioned to run against the weaker candidate " Obama". It was also on the radio that Indiana republicans were asked to vote for Obama & then flip during the Novemebr election, fact or fiction? I guess we will only know the truth when Primary is held, now wont we? Those voters can simply say they changed their mind. Obama will never hold their votes nor will he pick up Hillary's supporters in a race against McCain and the Republican party knows this. We are all in trouble here, it will end up being another 4 years of Republican rule.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

Shame on Hillary1 Once again she played the race card and this quite brazenly. She shows her true character, a person of very low principles in line with George W. I was pro Edwards and he got no media. I became pro Hillary and she was sometimes inspirational and others embarrassing, but she is an experienced intelligent (I thought!), tough and deserving member of my sex. So I stuck even when it was a little weird. But this one is too much. True or not, it's not a good way to argue for your place at the head of the party. Appealing to the worst in us is a shameful way to fight for your last hope. She should quit while she still has an ounce of dignity left. I am sad for her and all of us who backed her. She is digging her own and her husband's historical grave now. I am not crazy about Obama and less about his wife...but he is winning and fairly, and Hillary needs to accept that - get over her disappointment, and start working to get him in the White House as a good Democrat and more importantly a good American.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

Obama is a lightweight. The show this morning was yet another example of news commentaries heavily tainted by personal feelings. Mika on the MSNBC Morning Joe Show crossed the line with Clinton bashing. Senator Clinton made no racial remarks. She stated poll facts that have been reported for weeks. When Senator Obama says he has the support of the African American vote, is he not being racist. In my opinion, Mika and MSNBC has been very pro-Obama since the beginning of the campaign. At least Joe, being the consumate politician, has been trying to report both sides of the issues re both Clinton and Obama. Thanks Joe! In past shows, I have been disgusted with Mika, feeling that she is there simply to look cute and be a straight man to Joe. Her performance this morning shows that she is an intellectual lightweight, better suited to The View but not suited to the Morning Joe show.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

Why has Hillary Clinton been able to get away with paying the race card and no one in the news is all over it. She has no hope of winning, except in her delusional mind. I just wish she would shut up and go away. I really now don't want her as vp either. From day one, I thought there was something off about her. She is not for the people of this country, rather she seems to be more in it for herself. She states she has so much experience because being first lady and Senator. Well I'm first lady in my house, but that doesn't make me an experienced soldier. As for her "experience as Senator" she gives me no hope at all. Just look at this country now, the middle class is struggling, the poor are desparate, the country is at war and disrespected through out the world. She did nothing to stop any of this decline. Thank God, she is not going to be the nominee, because I have never voted republican and really don't want to start with this election.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

Clinton is once again talking out both sides of her mouth. Wanted the african american vote and played those supporters. Now she feels the african american communities are leaning toward Obama and she makes a play for the white voters. This is a desperate woman, so focused on her personal agenda it's frightening. She stated the other day that President Bush has forgotten who he works for ..ie the american voter. Hiliary Clinton needs to remember that the President of the United States is elected to office by the citizens. The process is a simple one based on the ideas, views, and wishes of the american voter, not on the desires of the candidate running for office. I do not put my hard earned vote out to a candidate just because he/she feels they are the "best candidate" to beat the GOP. I vote for the individual that I feel will do the best job in uniting both political parties for a common goal; not for a "personal vendetta" against the Bush administration/Republican base or because "I think I'm entitled to be president" persona.
In this day and age we are over the silly drag it out tantrums of a woman who cannot accept that she is out of touch and the race, no more in-party debates and mud slinging. Hillary isn't solely culpable over the use of the term "white americans",albeit quoting someone else. MSNBC and other news outlets have had a field-day fixating on exit polls of race, gender, age, religion, income over $50,000,income under $50,000, on and on. My concern, however, is that politicians should choose their words wisely, especially in a 24/7 news cycle. Hillary's use of such language was embarassing, divisive and stereotypical."... hard-working white americans...who had not completed college support me" What is she implying? Hard-working whites are the core of The Democratic Party and can't be lost? Blacks are not hard-working and are, therefore, expendable? I think we go backwards as a nation when we appeal to voters based on race, class, gender, age, income and not attempt to reach everyone. But so should the news reporters who are fueling the fire.

Also, all voters should remember that Presidents can do little without approval from congress so many of the candidates proposals are just to get votes in the primary. Allen, It sounds to me from the venom that you're spewing that, "life-long" Democrat is a misnomer for you. It seems you're a "life-long" Democrat as long as the choice of candidates conforms to your idea of how that person, shall we say ... looks? I'm sure it's nothing more than sheer coincidence that EVERY Democratic presidential nominee in the history of this country has been white, and you've never had a problem with being a "life-long" Democrat and voting that way. Yet, when the candidate this time may be black, you find yourself deserting the party!! DO NOT then classify yourself as a "life-long" Democrat because this party is one of diversity in its ideals and cultures. As a 48-year old black man I've GLADLY endorsed Democratic candidates ever since I've been old enough to vote. I voted for Bill Clinton BOTH times and John Kerry in a losing effort last election -- I even worked on his campaign. Moreover, as much as I said that I wouldn't because of how Hillary has conducted this campaign, I resigned that I would "hold my nose" and vote for her in the fall if she was the nominee. Why? Because the problems we face in this country are much bigger than me and my self-absorbed biases. The Republican nominee trying to win over the conservatives in his party will finish the "tanking" of this country that George Bush started, and all you can focus on is your prejudices, biases, disdain, what have you for the first black nominee we have had. Not to worry, there will be plenty more white ones to follow him -- white ones for whom I, a TRUE "life-long" Democrat will vote. Go! Leave the party and take your family with you! You are a disgrace to the progressive-minded people of this party, regardless of your age! My mother is 76 and SHE is a true "life-long" Democrat! You, sir, are a bigoted impostor!!!! The Republicans will gladly embrace you. Be sure to fill up your gas tank and kiss some of your civil liberties "good-bye" on your way out the door! Have a nice day. :-)

Clinton: Playing the race card?

she should be for warned that by giving black voters her a** to kiss she is making a grave, grim mistake for her party ...further provingmy point the democrats are soft - they need to step up and sit her a** down

Clinton: Playing the race card?

Hillary Clinton has not only lost the nomination, but has effectively ruined her future chances for national office. She will say anything to continue, when it is time to show some common sense, not to mention class, and bow out gracefully.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

We still do not know some of the parts of Obama's character as well as we should. I fear his nomination because of this. Hillary continues to get a bad shake of the media...don't know why but it is clearly so. The only thing they haven't revealed about her is the results of her latest colonoscopy examination! I'm sticking with Hillary Clinton and that's that!

Clinton: Playing the race card?

Hillary states a fact and instantly gets pounced upon as racist. What conclusion can be drawn from 96% of black voters going for Obama? Regardless of Obama's complexion on the outside, please remember he is half white so his appeal is to all people, not just the black vote. His platform (which I see most Americans rely on the media to give to them instead of reading it for themselves on his website) is to get us out of this rut and get the economy changed, gas lowered, and make good relations with other countries (I'll come back to this last one).
2. If I hear about Rev. Wright one more time, I'm goin to scream!! Have any of you ever heard the ENTIRE sermons that he's given? I guarantee you haven't! No, you heard again what the media wants you to hear. How about going to youtube.com or cnn.com and listening to all of his entire speeches. You would be surprised that the comments the media want you to hear are actually quotes from white politicans. Hmmmm
3. To piggybank really quick off #2, let's be realistic. the KKK had pastors in the pulpit on Sunday preaching and teaching racism or rather separation on Sundays and put on their white robes on Sunday night. But we dont want to bring that up. What Rev. Wright was discussing what totally different, again listen to the entire speeches.
4. Obama has not (thank goodness) lowered himself to the ridiculous back and forth backslashing that Hillary has done. If you really think about it, when in most of her speeches do she actually discuss the issues that are dear to us, whether republican or democratic? She's so concerned (even during her speech in IN) about degrading Obama. Does anyone bother to go back and look at how she and Obama voted during their Senate years? No, because you are so concerned with Rev. Wright and Ayers.
5. Hillary is NOT Bill!! She will not have the same administration as Bill so you can't compare apples and clintons. Again, review her platform, listen to her closely, and you will see that she will just have us with the Good Ole Boy (in her case Girl) mentality that we have had for years! Oh, I forgot, most of you will appreciate that though but can we at some point change and see that the system isn't working?
6. Let me tell you this, I am a 34 yr old Black American woman and was a Clinton supporter due to giving her credit that she would be like Bill. But I am also a researcher! I do my homework very well. Her platform will not benefit, nor help, me or bring my friends and family from Iraq!!!! Not to mention other issues she so-called stands for but really never talks about.
6. Last one and this will really piss some of you off but historically it is the truth. (Do your homework and find out). The media is in the business of presenting black americans in a negative light. It's very rare they promote the black community positively. The bad ones are not a representation of all of us. There are bad in every race, they just don't make the media like us!! I can also attest because I live in an all white community. When I moved over here, my neighbors assumed that I would have people in and out my house all the time with wild parties, that I am an uneducated black woman, I will bring the neighborhood down, and lord knows what else. When the one neighbor who flew his confederate flag on his porch for a month after I moved in was forced to talk to me because my dog ran after his cat, he realized that I really am "one of the good ones" his words not mine. I laughed at the ignorance. I then told him that I have 3 college degrees (2 B.S. and 1 M.S.), my occupation (I.T. Project Mgr), and that what he sees in the media is not how all black people are. It took me to break that thought process in one small area but look at how most white people think. On GMA, two white ladies specifically said "I haven't decided who I will vote for on Tuesday (IN) but I'm going to see what the media and news site say and make my determination". (Note: they were interviewed again and voted for Hillary)
7. Just thought about this, I haven't heard this on the media at all about Hillary's direct comments. BUT we hear Rev. Wright for the past two months. hmmm, interesting that she makes a comment that is totally racist and came direcly out of her mouth and it stays out the media but comments quoted by Rev. Wright that weren't HIS words make the media every day on every show!

Clinton: Playing the race card?

I don't hear anything but an analysis of the white voters during the primary. equally we can hear statistics about the black voters. BEING THE FIRST LADY TAKING ALL THE HOOP-LA FOR BILL'S ACT IN THE WHITE HOUSE, AND ALL THE TIMES YOU STOOD BY HIM WHEN HE DID GOOD THINGS FOR THE NATION. YOUR CHANCE OF BEING PRESIDENT WERE FAIRLY GOOD AT THE END OF HIS TIME. YOU PROBABALY WOULD HAVE WON THE PRESIDENCY, EXCEPT THAT FATE GLIDED INTO THIS CAMPAIGN AS A RAINBOW COLOR SPERE. READY TO PIERCE THIS BIG BALLOON OF ECONOMIC DISASTER ABOUT TO PARADE AROUND THE WORLD NOT ONLY THE US. NOW IS NOT YOUR TIME, PLEASE ADHERE TO THIS METAMORPHUS THAT OUR NATION AND THE WORLD NEEDS. THERE IS NO TIME FOR POLITICS ANY MORE. I MEAN IT, WE NEED A NEW COURSE FOR THE WORLD. THE GREED OF PEOPLE TODAY IS OVERWHELMING THE NECESSITIES OF LIFE FOR EVERONE. THE WORLD MUST MAINTAIN A LEVEL OF LIVING SO ALL PEOPLE CAN SURVIVE. OBAMA IS AT THE TIP OF THAT SPERE. PLEASE GO OUT IN DIGNITY, AND HELP GUIDE THE PEOPLE IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. THE TIME HAS COME. ANYTHING NEGATIVE COULD PROLONG OUR PROSPERITY, WE AS A NATION, AS A WORLD, AS THE HUMAN RACE.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

I think it bares out that there are a lot of Obama supporters and Clinton haters mouthing off here as well as probably a good many Repugnicans!! You people cannot accept the true fact that she was merely "Quoting" an associated press news release! She did not make these comments up her self. She was QUOTING what the media has been saying for weeks now!! I am a Clinton supporter and do not think neither Hillary or Bill are racist!! Hillary has a right and a duty to her supporters to continue her campaign on thru the rest of the primaries and give the people in the remaining states the opportunity to vote for either her or Obama. If in the end Obama is the democratic nominee then I will support him as I think voting for McCain would be voting for four more years of Bush and that would be disastorus for this country. Geo W. Bush is the worst president in the history of this country!! So lets quit lisening to the media which BTW is causing most of this controversy in the first place. Instead of merely reporting the news as they should, they have gotten to where they are analyzing and opinonating the news and I think that is just wrong as it causes so much division of the people of this country.

Clinton: Playing the race card?

So race is the factor in this race after all. Interesting how in a country with a less than 15% African American population, the candidate with the most total votes in the Democratic primaries cannot get 'average' white voters. Who has been voting for Obama to give him more than 50% of all votes cast? Senator Clinton refuses to face reality. As a true elitist, as defined by associates, education and income, Sen. Clinton is pandering to say the least. Her call to race as a determining factor is an example of desperation if not disintegration. The Clinton's have many Black superdelegates pledged since her announcement of her candidacy, should they all renounce her now since Obama has the Black vote? What about all of the people of color working for her? Are they to be dismissed? And what about the implications of income and education affecting our ability to see beyond skin color? Maybe that is her reality, but is it America's reality? Somehow the ideals of fairness and striving for excellence are being lost. My hope is "Yes We Can" change that America for a new America with fairness and hope for all.
