Among the 9,167 donors who contributed a combined $3.46 million in the month of June to former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson's "testing the waters" committee, several are notable names.

Georgette Mosbacher, a leading Republican fundraiser, who once dated Thompson, contributed $2,300.

Former Sen. Howard H. Baker, gave $2,300.

Peyton W. Manning, quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, gave $2,300.

Douglas J. Feith, the former Defense Department official now teaching at Georgetown University, gave $2,300.

Katuria D'Amato, former New York Sen. Al D'Amato's wife, gave $2,300.

Trace Adkins, a country music singer, and his wife Rhonda, each contributed $2,300 maximum.

Richard A. Wolf, the producer of NBC's "Law and Order," contributed $2,300.

And George J. Terwilliger, an attorney and one of the leaders of George W. Bush's legal team during the Florida election recount, gave $2,300.

These people will regret this when the DeMyopicRats take FULL control of this country, and punishes all of them for breaking the law of giving money to Republicans. :-)
******BREAKING NEWS***** IMPEACHMENT PROCEEDINGS FOR ALBERTO GONZALES WILL NOW TAKE PLACE....STAND BY FOR FURTHER INFO.
todd and mark, i really wish you wouldn't have told me that peyton manning gave to thompson. as a football fan, i'm now going to look at the (probably) best quarterback ever in a different light--and that's not a good thing! thanks for that!
looks like fred has several repub mofia noteables backing him, another good reason to vote for a democrat
Gave money to Mr. Boring who hasn't entered the race yet? I think his handlers are having a hard time trying to push all his skeletens back into the closet but there are too many! Therefore he can't enter the race yet.
I like Fred Thompson.  I usually vote Democrat because of the party's consideration of civil rights issues, but I will consider switching if he decides to run.  I am also a Christian, and I like Mr. Thompson's values/views.  I would even be willing to campaign in Nevada, and help draw in some African American voters to his side, especially if Hillary wins the Democratic primary
I can't believe one of the lawyers that argued for Bush in the 2000 recount has the same last name as Sideshow Bob (the disgraced Republican who was former mayor of Springfield until busted for voter fraud, of all things, and in a Simpsons episode that aired a good six years before the recount).  Such hilarious irony.
How much did Halliburton give ?
How about the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Assn ?
Someone in the Pentagon once called Douglas Feith 'the dumbest man in the world' !!
That's quite a distinction, Doug !!

Shoot for the dumbest creature on earth !!
You can do it !!

Did Scooter Libby contribute ??
Uhh.Sierra.The Democrats are being funded by a man who owns two million shares of Halliburton. George Soros. BECHTEL,another Halliburton-style big player in Iraq which has made billions has also doled out tons of loot to candidates. Wanna find out who their chief recipient is ? Go here to find out. The Center for Responsive Politics at www.opensecrets.org. Enter the names of ''Pelosi,Nancy'' and ''Boxer,Barbara''.
Fred Thompson is a sleeper agent for the gun-grabbing global elitists. Not only is he a member of the elitist Council on Foreign Relations, he’s also a member of the elitist American Enterprise Institute.

Fred Thompson will do the bidding of his elitist friends and surrender this nation’s sovereignty to the North American Union enroute to one big, ‘happy’ global government, sans private gun ownership.

He’s also pro-amnesty for illegal aliens.

Fred Thompson only tells you what you want to hear.

These folks have his number -

Peyton Manning is a nice guy, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Kind of like Fred. Fred is a lightweight and seems possibly hen-pecked by his trophy wife. I think she covets the White House a lot more than he does. He doesn't have the fire in the belly or the smarts in the noggin that we need right now leading the free world. Rudy or Mitt will do. Both of them have much more relevant experience, fire in the belly and are in charge at home.
GONZO-GATE,it will not just fade away.
Look, anyone with a lot of dough is going to cover his bases and give money to all the politicians he think will help him later, whether democrat or republican. And these celebs have the right to back whomever they so chose. This is another dumb issue. Stick with substance - health care, Iraq, education, economy, you know what we used to call platform issues.
V, Las Vegas, NV / I am also a Christian, and I like Mr. Thompson's values/views. are you serious, what on earth would give you the idea thompson has any morals what so ever, better take another look at this imposter
gonzo-gate
B u S h   S u C k S !
Thanks for listing Freds doners - now I know who to boycott.  I never was a Manning fan anyway - he only played at UT because his Dad's alma mater was restricted from bowl activity by the SEC, and if I really need to hear country music I will be quite happy with Vince Gill & Amy Grant, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Billy Ray Cyrus, John Hyatt, and of course the Chicks.
Et tu, Peyton???
Guess Sierra got put in his place LOL
Oh PEYTON.. say it ain't so.  OH, that one HURTS.
V, Las Vegas NV- I want to make sure I'm reading your post correctly.  You usually vote Dem, but would consider voting Repub in the interest of "...values..."?
Between Feith, who is responsible for some many innocents' deaths, and anyone close to Al "Waterfront" D'Amato pretty much says it all...."DeMyopicRats".....you're very special to us, Dave.
Why doesn't this super hero tough guy jump into the fray like the rest of the people running for president. What a wimp-------he appears to be a coward like the one we already have in the whitehouse.Maybe he thinks he will just walk in and be handed the nomination---the waiting game? Was he in that movie?
so let me get it straight You like mr cheynenes haliburton and you dont like george soros owning it or that you dont like haliburton and you dont like george owning it ,or you just dont like haliburton or george maybe the whole free enterprise system bothers you are you a communist,or do you think george soros is ,maybe he is trying to undermine himself sounds as convaluted as your train of thought
Peyton Manning donated to the Bush campaign and also to the Repub who got elected to the Senate from Tennessee last year.  Maybe setting himself up for a run at politics himself down the line ...
